I love love love everything about this drama except the romance scenario for the main characters. As someone in their 40s, I understand the female lead's insecurities about falling in love, but one thing I also know for 40s, we move on quickly, not because we're not appreciating the relationship, but because as we get older, we value time more than when we were younger...and somehow we (I) become more realistic. Her confusion and insecurities were too much, I started to hate their storyline as the story progressed. on the other hand, I grow to love Scarlet love story because its cute and full of positive vibes, who said being older and successful can't have positive and cute love like them ? everything else (beside the main leads love story) is top notch !! the pace is on point, everything about the work also relatable, there's no boring part until i reach the end of the series...the cinematography, the fashion, i love everything especially how they can keep me wanting to watch it until the end. i hope i can find this kind of gems again....recommendation anyone ?? T,T
the drama is sooooo good, i couldn't stop watching.....at first. Unfortunately, they failed to maintain that quality. The premise and execution is great in the early episodes, maybe up to episode 8 ? 10 ? then, the story went downhill....i don't know who's to blame....PD ? writer ? i don't know, but...the storyline become inconsistent and confusing. For example....FL suddenly started having visions midway through, just like a fortune teller. I kept watching because I was still curious about the ending, the actors did their job well, i like Kim Hye Yoon's acting early on, though I wasn't as fond of it towards the end—mostly because the story's progression itself was confusing and inconsistent. I suppose it's hard to sustain a great initial premise. If only they had maintained narrative consistency instead of creating so many why and plot holes..... Still......I'm up to episode 15 now and am confident I can finish it today.
In the end, this drama is still worth to watch. The cinematography is great, particularly in capturing the distinctive vibe of the 2000s; the cast looks stunning in every scene, the atmosphere is bubbly and colorful, and the settings evoke a strong sense of nostalgia for 2000 era. I really appreciate the premise; the story holds far greater potential than what the actual execution delivers.
how should i comment on this...hm. i love it at first few episodes, its funny and light drama to watch after finishing Designated Survivors. But then at some point, maybe after a few times the main leads act ridiculous and doesn't make sense, like keep going in circle. I've never commented on actor age before, but in this drama, i must. The ML look very old compared to FL, they doesn't look compatible to each other which is okay irl, but in this drama, it looks strange. I didn't complaint about the same thing in Goblin and i think the reason is FL acted as 19 yo girl, but actually, she's around 20s at that time, so, both of them still look okay in frame. Or maybe because their actual age gap is no more than 15 yo ? I'm not sure....its just for the sake of comparison. Strangely, second ML also look very old compared to second FL even though they're only 4 years apart. they should consider smaller age gap between the main leads, whether looking for older FL or younger ML. in the end i can say, the FL and ML and all the cast are superb, look at the casts !! they all superstar.....their acting is great, but somehow their amazing talent doesn't show in the drama. The good part, the story itself is well build, they build the chemistry in order, but....if they want to insert the tense by adding conflict, they should add it earlier instead of adding it from eps 14. in the end, i can finish this...yeeeeyyy !! if you have a lot of free time, you can start watching this, if you think every second of your time is precious but you're curious about this drama...then, 1.25x faster is your next best friend. 7.5/10 for me.
again...i come for Choi Dae Hoon....he's soooo funny and absolutely nailed his part, i hope he choose more comedic roles like this / wonderfools....i think that he's expertise...being comedic. as for the others, well....the story doesn't impress me much. the daughter hit by a brick and voila....very healthy after a few days....and magically forgive the girl and her dad who's bullying her until she's half.....not half but 3/4 dead....asking them to surrender to the police WITHOUT supervising it till they going to jail and magically, the tragedy happen all over again. whaaattt ?! and I....magically....can finish watching this drama. halleluyaaaa.
well....my personal score is 9/10 for this drama. score can be subjective, based on personal likes, one thing for sure (for me) that the J-Drama make it more relatable ? not too extravagant / glamorous like most K-drama did. i don't really know how to describe it though.... all in all....i love it...i love the drama, and especially i love the classic Elly, My Love (the main song)...i instantly fell in love with the song and it become one of my song playlist.
i probably minority about this drama....i can't stand watching this. FL and ML surely very pretty, they keep me hooked just looking at them. i usually like Han Hyo Joo but this one ? i don't know why, it feels back and forth and unrealistic....why did you love someone that much until you ignore the fact that he try to kill you father ? i think that scene is the peak of the unrealistic scenario for me, so i decided to put this on hold for now, after trying to watch 7 eps. i hope someday i can pick up this drama again and finished it with more positive outcome. i still wondering why i can't stand this....maybe the scenario outdated compare to nowadays drama ? maybe i watch too many fast pace drama? hm....who knows, but for now, on hold for sure.
i watch this drama after i watch Teach You a Lesson....I'm still in the mood for school related but "not too teenagers" kind of drama...if you know what i mean, lol. Seo Kang Jun is handsome, uniquely attracted my eyes to keep looking at him...not very usual for me to like pretty man, i must say.... the drama is good, have a good storyline and execution....still got the teenage feels but never stay too long in that vibe...i don't even know how to describe it. i have to say, i don't like Jin Ki Joo acting....I'm sure after seeing 2 dramas with her in it....her screaming voice is annoying to me somehow, but she's been working on good dramas, so there's a big chances i will see her again next time, and i don't mind. now, i strongly recommended for you guys to listen to the soundtrack....KIM PUREUM (love is you)....its soooooo good...the melody dancing calmly in your ears, i really love it. do check it out !! and maybe some of you will like it as much as i do....(fyi, I'm not k-pop listener, but i do like some of non mainstream k-music)
I come to this section specifically to praise Choi Dae Hoon...he's a very good actor, and very funny. His comedy timing is on point, and never failed to make me laugh. the others ? well, i finish the drama in one swipe, so, there wasn't a boring part, which is a good point. the cinematography is wonderful, the pacing is fast and steady, the storyline is well built....Sometimes i think Park Eun Bin's acting is too over the top (in some scenes) but it didn't bother me...i managed to finished it. But....I have to admit, Choi Dae Hoon caught my attention in the last few episodes, my eyes kept searching for him, re-watching his funny parts and laughing out loud.... so, he was a show-stealer for me
it is soooo satisfying seeing that there's a bunch of officers who's stand for the victims, knows what's right and what's wrong, and actually win, every single time. Because, that's not what's happening in real world, so....this drama is beyond satisfying for me to watch. Exaggeration is understandable, since its a fiction, its a drama, they need to make it that way to make it entertaining, but....somehow the second half episodes is not as satisfying and exciting as the first half of the episodes. the theme itself (well, after i read some of the comments here) apparently happening everywhere around the world (not only in Korea) because i know, this kind of things is happening around me as well. I wish, from the bottom of my heart....we will treat teachers better, and bullying soon become history. It sad to me to see all of this things happen in real world.
watching this for 3rd time ? 4th time ? i don't even remember how many times i'm re-watching this and the value of the drama weight the same for me. And even after sooo many times....still, i cry, i laugh hard, i skip some (since i already know the storyline) but i also re-watching some scene. personally, this is FL-ML best drama so far. The story itself is full of warmth and life lesson but they make the story seems lighter, seeing it from young adults perspective.....which makes this drama isn't too heavy to watch, and re-watch, yet still valuable. now the question, can anyone give me recommendation about similar drama ? and for anyone who's hesitating to watch, you should start now, before you can't find it anywhere. You will get something from the drama, life lesson, anything...or maybe a little cry, and a lot of laugh.
I'm already on episode 2. The storyline itself is interesting, fresh, and I like that kind of story, but for some reason the FL just doesn't keep me interested. Sometimes it's boring, sometimes it's okay, sometimes it's good... I really don't understand why...so, don't judge me...I can be subjective, like everyone else, I'm just saying my opinion about it. I hope I can finish this drama, because I really like stories like this. There's still a very long way to go...12 more episodes and crossed finger I'll like the FL's acting more in the next episodes. well...i'm not going to give a low score just because the FL's acting doesn't sold out on me, because....i like everything else so far (the plot, supporting actors, etc)
i bumped into this drama by accident, when i scroll for a new drama when i feel somewhat boring with dramas....so, i need something different. Its simple, the cinematography and all the places looks really pretty....the angle and the way they capturing the scene feels serene, and the background music is simple yet calming. After episode 6, i found myself humming their opening song many times while i'm driving or doing my things.... I agree to some of the comment saying that even without romance, the chocolate making process and chocolatier life is good enough. I'm at episode 8 and wondering why they didn't make this 10 episodes or probably more....T,T its a light, sometimes funny, sometimes bring tears to my eyes....but successfully making me watching it until the end. Its not perfect, nothing is....but entertaining enough for me to ignore all of the flaws and focus on the drama itself. The recommendation come to me in the perfect time, when i feel boring and tired with heavier story/drama i usually watch.
nb. : please...can anyone recommend me something like this....fyi, i also like reality show produced by Na Young Seok and one of my fav work from him is Coffee Friends
Kim Woo Bin's acting saved this drama. Bae Suzy's acting didn't appeal to me at all. Don't ask me, I've wondered why too myself many times while watching this drama. The theme and everything are interesting, but once I saw Bae Suzy's acting, I couldn't stand it... but I managed to finish it. She's certainly beautiful from every angle, but that's it... she can't act like Son Ye Jin or Park Bo Young (my personal favorites, among others), so... she's one of the actresses I'll be avoiding in dramas from now on. I feel sorry for her... I know she worked hard on this drama but I just felt nothing while watching her act.
SBS not only have to apologize properly to Indonesia, they need to RETAKE episode 5 and editing everything Indonesian see inappropriate. We, Indonesian is a K-dramas supporter and we are their big market, and SBS is making fun of our country? SBS need to learn in a hard way to be really considerate to other culture, country especially since now k-dramas become global. Indonesia is not perfect, like any other country existed, but who are you to insult our country and disrespecting us? And the worst part is, one of our national badminton player passed away and so we are grieving, and this damn episode aired!!!
Dropped this, could not watch that FL(do not like her in anything). IMO she is bad in Sisyphus as well.
Aw...really? I’ve been wanting to watch sisyphus T_T. I’m tempted... but, I can’t imagine I’ll have to watch her again in the near time. Oh well...maybe someday.
It's a very very odd drama...strangely entertaining...even though I'm confused (after watching it twice) but i still love all the jellies, colors, vintages vibes (i see it that way) even the beautiful nam joo hyuk and jung yoo mi. Absolutely not 7.5 for me...because it's different, and even if I'm confused, i really appreciate this one of a kind drama. And...the cinematography...wow. I think, for me it's okay to not understand the plot, just enjoying the vibes and the jellies :))
The rating is ridiculously low for such a high quality drama. Not only the acting, the story itself is so interesting and entertaining for me, I even rewatching it. The way people give their opinion and rate dramas is getting more and more ridiculous here. A lot of ridiculously overrated drama, and sometimes ridiculously low rate. Please, respect the author, the directors, their hardwork, and watch it until it finished before rating them We can be subjective about acting and plot, but we can't deny the quality of the drama, cinematography, or well prepared storyline, can we? And...SJK isn't my favorite actors, and i even think that the FL was overacting...but the drama, i love it I absolutely giving this a chance, until finish...and rate them later. I hope it getting better...either the drama and the rating :)
I watch this because i love Park Bo Young...the plot was refreshing and new but the leads character was soooo depressing. I’m stressed because the FL was overly confident and the ML was overly naif it look stupid to me. I’m stressed because they always in a hurry and chasing each other and talking in the same time. Just watching them makes me tired. I’m still in episode 4..,crossed finger it will get better because honestly, i think the leads did a great job with their acting. Its just the character doesn’t fit my preference.
this show just keep getting better. i cant wait for new episodes every week. and maybe because all the cast already familiar with each other, i can see there's no barrier between them. it makes the show even better. i hope it will last for a long time.
i have a looong list why i love this show (and still on their 3 episodes) : 1. the concept is fresh 2. the location and setting is another plus, everything shown in camera was beautiful 3. the editing was superb.. its like shooting advertisement i usually seen on tv but 100x better, 1 hour long and not for the sake to sell something. every second of it is mesmerizing. how they capturing the moment when ho jun make hand drip coffee, or when yeon seok dressing his toast, etc etc. 4. i dont know why (maybe because the concept itself is for a good deeds) every person caught on camera look dazzling, shining and happy. i feel really peaceful when i see this. thats it...i'm exausted coz English isn't my 1st language...so i squeeze my brain for sake of writing this. LOL. hope it will bring more viewer to like this show.
