Interesting and makes you think like hmmmmm. My first movie looking into classic Japanese cinema and I most definitely will try to look into more. To me it was alright, I wasn't crazy for this movie compared to the reviews I read about it but I liked the idea and message. Plus the shots are gorgeous, and the main actress Machiko Kyo kills her role.
Top give aways for me: The elite acting, the elite score, and the amazing camera shots.
Dislikes: Some parts felt to long or over dramatic, the story / plot could have been a little better but I understand that the director could have been trying to focus on the philosophical message of the film.
