He has such talent. It's amazing to think that he'd only done a few commercials, before this. I'm so glad Earth…
ROTFL! That's too funny!!!

Child, I'm no stranger to gritty drama. Check my list and see for yourself. Good, effective antiheroes require skilled writing to tread a subtle line. A writer who isn't up to it just creates dickheads. Show me characters from this show as well written as those from Breaking Bad or OZ and then we'll talk...

The 5 year gap simply fails because of a lack of a compelling rationale. It's not about dreamland. It's about…
A 5 year absence, with no notice and no explanation, from the one you supposedly love? Come, now. That would need a damned compelling rationale for just about anyone...

Oh yeah, that cliff scene is going to be EVERYTHING about Tian and Phupha compressed to one scene. This show will have aged me by 10 years by the time it wraps up.

There's got to be something with Tian's father, still, or else we wouldn't have been shown the scene where he gets the late night call and says he'll be on his way...

Could someone translate this thread into English? I feel like it's really meaningful even through Google translate,…
From what I can make out of the rest of what P'Aof was saying:

(Google translate and me taking the google translation and trying to adjust it for fuller English contextualisation )

Earth is a very sensitive person and was already tearing up because he knew he'd have to deliver a line to drive Tian away. Earth and Mix had to seperate for a bit so that Earth could get himself under control, because P'Aof seemed to feel that Phupha wouldn't cry in this scene: he should only be angry.

Because Earth is emotive and Mix can be more reserved, they decided to do some improvisation exercise to help both of them ground themselves into their characters. It was Earth who came up with "Just leave. I don't want to see you again." as the most hurtful thing he thought Phupha could say to Tian. It still pained him to say, though, and the tears still came to his eyes.

P'Aof went with Earth's line and it's delivery because he said, "in the end, an actor is the person who knows their characters best." They also seemed to think that it was ultimately good to see the pain it still caused Phupha to say those words, even though he felt both enraged with and possibly even manipulated by Tian... (The sense of manipulation coming from when Phupha initially found Torfun's journal and he could match her entries with things that Tian had either done or said. Mentioned in another post.)

There's actually a picture of Earth trying to centre himself while looking away from Mix:

And, of course, it made me cry again, dammit!

Yes. Thank you, I. Also do not understand why pple dislike the drama. Like why???
Having lived in a small town nestled in the BC Rockies for 10 years, I can report that you are absolutely correct about the sudden onset of darkness.

I don't really have a type, myself. The one thing in common about men I find attractive is that I like their face. It's all about an individual and how their facial features uniquely combine, though. As for body types, I've dated all sorts of builds and body types but I always found their faces attractive.

A pleasing body won't make up for an unfortunate face, for me...

I hope Earth really gets more chances to shine after the work he's done in this series.

With WBL2, that black hole came to be the moment the writers thought it plausible to justify that 5 year gap. Everything started warping from there. (That was some heinous plot-driven f^2k3ry, there!)

As for Earth's shower scenes, perhaps you'd prefer to watch those... in solitude? XD

Speak not of WBL 2 in this thread! The Black Hole of Central Implausability might start sucking this show into its gaping maw, too, if we draw its attention!

I hear you. The one last thing I will offer is that Phupha did demonstrate just how unforgiving he could be about this subject when he shut one of men down after Torfun's funeral and they tried to bring up that they'd heard it was unintentional. Phupha wasn't having any of it and he said something like "I don't care. I would never forgive them"

As to why I'm trying to offer those points for consideration: I know you love this show and I'd hate for you to lock into a self-fulfilling prophecy about its end because I know you were already distrustful of GMMTV. I like you and, if you were at my place right now, I'd be trying to soothe you with sweets and fresh tea or coffee... and maybe Steel Magnolias. =)

They were in a stupor, Flypsyde, of shock. Their pre-frontal cortexes were likely in a complete blackout. Too much more stimulation and those people could have become a violent mob.

They will work it out but neither one of them is solely to blame in this situation. I think it's too complex for that.
