Dr. Nam has a responsibility to protect his friend - and a responsibility to Tian as his patient, so I don't think…
I hear you about Nursing. It is a lot of work, but I'm glad that I did it. It was very rewarding. Shift work, though, has probably disturbed my sleeping patterns for the rest of my life.

Where should I look, on Twitter? I'd like to see too.

Do you know what exactly happened? Cause I mostly saw some stuff on Twitter but I don't understand Thai so I don't…
LOL! All true, Good Sir, all true...

For myself, though, what really does me in with both Earth and Mix is their faces. (In different ways.) I've always been a "face man." If I like a man's face, I'm not as concerned about the rest of their body. I've found men of a variety of builds, heights, etc. attractive but I've always liked their face. Even the most pleasing body won't attract me to someone if I don't find their face appealing, first.

Things I liked about this episode:Phupha being all flirty with Tian, the bath scenes, the flute scene and Tian…
In Canada, what the doctor did would be a violation. Even though Dr Nam is now Tian's de facto primary care giver, Dr Nam would need a signed Release of Information document from Tian to get his records sent from anywhere else in the first place. Dr Nam wouldn't be able to look into Tian's medical history documentation at all without that permission. Using some personal connections to obtain it would likely get both the doctor and whoever supplied it dismissed.

Further, Dr Nam would almost certainly be dismissed and potentially stripped of the right to practice if he told anyone, even Phupha, about any of the contents of those records.

The only thing a doctor in Canada can look up without a patient's specific permission is their medication and prescription history, to check for allergies and to prevent abuse of prescribed medications. In Canada, it's standard practice for a person to sign ROI forms when they start seeing a new doctor or visit a specialist. The patient does have the right to refuse to sign one, though.

A Thai board member said they thought the situation is the same in Thailand. Ultimately, I think it was an oversight in the script for the episode.

"wife" thing is kinda cringe for non-Thais but it's very common for Thais, not only BL but also straight couples,…
LOL! brilliant!

Lucky Tian is all I'll add ;-)

I don't think that there are any obligations on viewers to watch any particular number of shows before expressing…
If a person absolutely loathed it right from the first episode, I would hope that they would simply drop it and not bother going into the show's thread to criticise it beyond, maybe, one entry. It can seem non-sensical when someone criticises something we like, but, for myself their criticism can't effect my enjoyment and I more often than not just mentally shrug it off.

Oi! Don't forget Max! XD

(if Max and Earth we're ever paired in a show, I honestly wonder if my heart wouldn't give out: lol!)

Some of the parameters you mention are covered by the board rules, as they should be.

I wish comment sections of series were like sharing a common point of interest....but no...it's like a trial now.…
Disagreement with points I've made are fine, a far as I'm concerned. I've disagreed with some of yours, as well. That's not unusual in a general discussion forum.

I suppose we disagree, as well, as to what a general discussion forum is for. To me, they are places for people to express their opinions about the show as viewers of the show: positive and negative.

I have a better understanding of the way you approach it from what you've written about the efforts of the crew and I think that's nice of you to do, but I don't agree that everyone has to do that in the same way. There are countless discussion boards all over the Web (I've been a part of a few in my life) and I've never seen one that requires that.

As I said, we disagree. Hopefully, we can agree to disagree and leave it at that. In the meanwhile, I did start up a discussion thread on this page specifically for people to share only positive things about the series, in addition to posting in the General discussion thread. I'm hoping that critics can be respectful enough to stay out of that discussion thread, altogether. Someone else might set up one for critiques, but I started the Appreciation thread specifically as an Olive Branch. Maybe some will enjoy the idea and use it. à la prochaine.

I always enjoy reading your posts, Andaman. Thanks for another well-considered one! =)I'm right there with you…
I completely agree about that hammock scene. The way Phu said that he was lonely and the gentle way Tian replied, "i'm here.": I burst into tears immediately. Some people complained about the way Phu passed out but, for me, I was spellbound by Phu as he leaned into toward Tian. You could see his gaze go from Tian's lips to Tian's eyes as he drew closer: so expressive and sincere...

It was magical and just as satisfying to me as if they had kissed. Earth played that moment to perfection.

I truly wish we had 12 episodes instead of 10 to do more justice to the many aspects of the story. I also said before that I could happily watch another season of this place and these people's lives.

I like your idea about favourite scenes. I look forward to reading it!

They could put together a glossy commemorative magazine or book for this series and I would buy it and Phu's drawing could be just one of the treats. GMMTV seems to make DVD sets of series, as well. I'd buy the magazine/book, DVD set, Ranger T-shirt, and Tea Sachets to show my support for what they've done. I want this show to be a huge hit for GMMTV so that they'll give us more quality work like this in the future.

This was a brutal episode but I think the next one is going to be even more heart-wrenching. We'll keep posting here to brace ourselves and I'll also go onto YouTube to look for new EarthMix videos to share. =)

If you go to YouTube and search for MaxTul, and the filter the results to the last two weeks, you'll probably find an answer to your question there. I don't want to start posting links to it myself because this thread is more for Manner of Death than Max and Tul.

I really love this series. The chemistry is amazing. But those scenes with Phupha getting into the bathroom and…
I agree with what yo said about Earth and Mix, although I'll say i was OK with the passing out portion. I understand that people didn't like it, but it might have been tricky to end that conversation, otherwise. Besides, as he was leaning in, I could see Earth eyes going from Mix's lips to Mix's eyes with such sincerity that it was as beautiful, for me, as if they had kissed. I was teary, regardless.

Ultimately, I think we might only ever get one brief tender kiss between these two and I'll be OK with that considering just how much love they've given us, already.

#Things I really appreciate:1. Tian & Phu in bed scene (Phu sleeps on floor, Tian's on bed). This is where we…
I always enjoy reading your posts, Andaman. Thanks for another well-considered one! =)

I'm right there with you an with the things you appreciate, entirely.

I also concur with your second point about the Dr and the chart. It's one of the few weak points in the scripting, along with the fact that the rangers didn't tell the villagers about Torfun's death as soon as they knew about it. It was parochial of them to think they had the right to withhold that information. In the real world, it would only cause unnecessary barriers for any incoming teacher.

From a personal perspective, I will say that I appreciated both of Phupha's out and proud moments. They provided a couple of comic relief moments in what was, otherwise, a deeply affecting episode that I was either misty eyed or openly crying though.

I hope they'll follow through about the economic consequences of losing all that tea but time's running short and I don't know if they'll be able to do it full justice.

I'm certain Sakda's hiding out on Ghost Hill. Those two villagers were obviously paid by him to ensure that no other villagers go nosing around up there, for now.

The only other thing I can say is that I think that next week's episode will be emotionally brutal and I'll need tissues (and possibly some online reassurance: lol!) afterwards. I have Persistent Depressive Disorder and things like that can get me down more than the average person. It's good for me to admit that publicly because it takes away some of the embarrassment I feel about it.
