I agree but don't at the same time.If we turn the time back to when he wasn't "caught" how would he be able to…
I do not agree that it is a matter of being "willing" to forgive or not. I say this both as a retired psychiatric nurse and as someone with a history of personal trauma.
I agree but don't at the same time.If we turn the time back to when he wasn't "caught" how would he be able to…
Sincere amends could have been tried to be made when he was still in school, shortly after some of the incidents occurred. He obviously did not do that. Some of them were criminal, though, and no amends can make up for those.
He committed crimes and only his celebrity is saving him from jail. How you decide to deal with what happened…
Depending on what was done, it is most certainly appropriate for someone to lose their career and their freedom. A society that lacks consequences for bad behaviour, particularly those that involve harming others, would not last for long...
From a developmental stand point, given the age he would have been when the incidents occurred, the average person…
A teenager (which is when he did what he did) in the jurisdictions I'm familiar with would not need a personality disorder diagnosis to be tried as an adult for certain crimes, particularly murder and those of a sexual nature.
The DSM does not actually list psychopathy as a diagnosis. What you seem to be referring to might be diagnosed in a number of ways based on behaviours. The range could go from Objective-Defiant Disorder to Anti-Social Personality Disorder. Again, they are not required nor would they exonerate someone from being held accountable for crimes.
Broadly speaking, the only mental defence which will lead to a person being considered not responsible for their actions is if it can be determined that they were in a state of psychosis at the time.
soooooo i just saw an interview where mixx said he did not even know what 'action' and 'cut' meant whilst shooting…
Before I started the series, I knew that he had not acted before and I've marvelled at his ability. I agree that he outperforms some of the industry's more established actors. Earth has known him for a long time and it was Earth who encouraged Mix to apply for the role. Earth must have seen Mix's potential...
What he did was wrong, but as far as i know he was 14-15 years old back then. i'm not justifying , but all the…
Considering how stacked against the victims Korean culture can be for any meaningful justice, then I'm OK that they are at least able to expose this man for what he did. A number of his actions would qualify as crimes and from a developmental standpoint he should have been aware that what he was doing was very wrong at the time. His made choices to do those things. We reap what we sow...
I really don't care about him bulling someone in school, that's a part of the school life and they should get…
What you did to process your bullying experiences is your business. Just because you got over something does not give you the right to decide that any other victim should do what you did. A number of the actions coming to light qualify as actual crimes. You talk about the "way the world runs" I will be blunt: It is thanks to attitudes like the ones you've demonstrated that things don't change. Congratulations on coming off as both callous and cynical.
Thanks for sharing the interview!!! I will definitely watch it.
I have yet another question for any Thai speakers who'd care to answer:
In the Video, around the 9:20 mark, Earth is speaking and P'Aof interrupts. He say (translation): "We could say swear words here, right? (Earth said pronouns in swear words earlier) He further says "a few were said already" and Earth goes "oh! I'm sorry!"
Would someone mind identifying and explaining swearing pronouns? We English speakers have such a short and seemingly dull (LOL) list of pronouns compared to Thai. We certainly don't have one that constitutes as a swearword.
Thank you in advance for any help you can offer! =)
i'm not sure one way or the other if the accusations are true. However, i do want to address a few comments ppl…
Again:
The enormous stigma and loss of face the victims would be exposed to in going public and pressing charges would likely compound their suffering. Korea has a long history of those with senior social status, wealth, connection, etc. being able to get away treating "inferiors" in horrible and criminal ways, because they know that the accusers have to endure so much to even seek legal remedy.
You can bet that Ji Soo was being advised either by personal or company lawyers to write that "apology." It is doubly cynical in that they would have advised Ji Soo to concretely deny each accusation and threaten legal action of his own if he were innocent...
Since the "apology" was what was produced, his legal advisors were likely of the opinion that to try and deny any of the accusations would only open the door for additional legal jeopardy for Ji Soo. So, Ji Soo issues his statement but the hidden message is "accept his, because we know you're too intimidated to try and take this further."
The entertainment company was trying to seek direct contact with accusers. Is that because they are interested in their suffering? Given historical examples, it is far more likely so that they can do risk assessments for each accuser and offer them hush money to go away.

Again, you have every right to answer that question for yourself, as I did in my own life. You do not have the right to answer it on their behalf.
Ji Soo made choices to act in certain ways. Actions have consequences.
