I...was legit thinking this would be one of my fav dramas of all time. The anticipation I had for the romance...when the chemistry was palpable, but more than that, when both the leads were so vulnerable and authentic with each other. . Going back to the chemistry for a second, I literally was watching like 🫣 whenever they were about to be in a scene together. The way he looked at her…. For so much of the show, it seemed like here was finally a healthy adult relationship that still makes my heart absolutely flutter. A relationship that felt intimate and real, with transparency and conversation. But then....that changed. And the resolution left me feeling a little resentful, but mostly deflated. I don't think that disappointment fully went away, I don't think that the romance recovered for me. It got tropey as hell, and even the reconciliation did nothing for me like seeing them together, I didn't care nearly as much as before. And that sucked 5x more just because of all the anticipation I had and just because of HOWWWW good it WAS, and could have continued to be. They had cute moments in the last episodes after the conflict was over, but I just did not care and wasn't as invested...which sucked. I skipped a lot of the last few eps bc I just did not care about the political plot (but was thankful it actually stayed to a relative minimum for most of it) but a lot of things even beyond the romance fell flat by the end.
that being said...theres still SO MUCH to adore about this drama. I almost wish the romance wasn't as good as it was in the beginning and played more second fiddle instead, because then I think I'd be feeling soooo much differently (as in, I could've JUST been really happy about all the goodies). (Or actually if I had a wish it would be for the romance to live up to its potential). There is wonderful camaraderie between women, hopes and dreams being pursued and realized, an eloquent, smart, and graceful FL, female characters who subvert sexist tropes. I would prob watch it for LYF's voice alone. LOTS of good stuff in this show, and so for sure a really good drama, with a LOT more to enjoy that the romance between the leads, (and also things to criticize beyond the romance) but man...
Deflated. I feel like my lover also abandoned me without a word. The more I think about it too, they really fumbled it near the end. Like the romance lost its spark, and the plot that was so admirable lost its focus, and so many things became "typical" all of a sudden.
Im deciding if I should watch it, but I read so many comments saying the plot at the end sucks, that they even…
In my opinion, this fits. The reason the end was so stupid and disconcerting was because it was so different from how the main couple was approached for the whole show. Never seen fated boy tho!

It was definitely stupid but also barely a blip. U barely feel it. The overall drama imo is just rlly incredible but it depends on if ur into slice of life style shows!
I truly wish you the best in life you gorgeous person. seriously tysm for helping so many fans access this that could not have otherwise. you are seriously the best type of person, ily, and I hope good things come your way
Can someone tell me if it’s true that the SML doesn’t find out she’s a girl until episode 26, and the ML ep 31??? And also that there is barely any romance? 😭
You've already seen Lovely Us then right?? So frickin cute....Our Secret is on my PTW, but it's also in the recs…
Julian ur killing me here LOLLL ok…I’m currently watching a drama that takes place in high school, but it’s Korean. It’s called Live On, seems underrated tbh and I’m enjoying it.
Whenever I come across a new HS c-drama I’ll think of you LOL
the ** in the name keeps making me think this drama is called shitting stars LMAOO im waiting to watch this after it finishes airing, but any feedback on the FL here? 👀
I was really enjoying this, found myself smiling a lot and was compelled by the characters. Talked a lot of shit about the ML, but had a lot of hope. Was SMITTEN with the FL. Anyways....ended up dropping it and now I feel like I wasted my time and I want it back. It just went in a direction I hated, even though I would've loved to see what this drama seemed to have been promising: a solid redemption arc, satisfactory grovelling/chasing, a toxic ML being turned into the most doting partner. But the plot just....I did not enjoy it.
Another drama I do not get why it has such a high rating. Like it's such a confusing drama. It never decides what…
honestly my friend and I tried watching it and we dropped it after like 4-5 eps bc we were kinda disappointed by the FL...no prep to go to an all boys military school, no real impact or agency in any scene, not particularly quick or able to adapt....there was nothing interesting about her as a character!
