Autumn Concerto appears to be a show with no flaws in the beginning, but they appear later on in the series due to poor writing. What could have been a ten show is ruined by poor script, dragged out plots and unnecessary scenes.
The Story: 8
The story had a strong lead in as we are thrust into the world of poor Mu Cheng and how she falls in love with the seemingly sweet Guang Xi. Alas their love is met with tragedy as Guang Xi goes through major brain surgery making him lose his memory. It pulls you in to this nice dilemma with of course love interest for the new Guang Xi and Tuo Ye whom has liked Mu Cheng since the beginning; then lets you fall into a messy script.
My first problem is with the six year gap. It just skips straight to six years. No story or even narration, just,"BAM!!! We know the characters changed and even Mu Cheng had a baby, but instead of showing you there lives let's just have the characters briefly explain it. Plus we will throw in flashbacks that have no relevance to what's going on!," the writers basically said. Seriously? Seriously?
Then some of the subplots also dragged out too long. They started out okay, but was stretched to make the show longer. With slow pacing and unnecessary moments this show's story suffered.
The Characters: 8
The main characters in this show are basically Mu Cheng, Guang Xi, Tuo Ye, and Xiao Le. Mu Cheng starts off as this innocent girl in love for the first time then transforms to this depressing chick that over analyzes the whole Xiao Le and Guang Xi situation. While I can understand where she is coming from with her fear, it hurts way too many people at times. PLus she cried too much. Then Guang Xi, well it was a love-hate situation. He was a jackass after the six episodes and quite frankly I was wishing she ended up with Tuo Ye because... he was in her life!!!!! That six year void Tuo Ye took care of Mu Cheng and Xiao Le and Guang Xi has the nerve to be angry at him. Xiao Le was my favorite character because he was adorable and to me was an amazing eccentric five year old. The minor characters did their support really well and saved the story in the end with their personalities.
The acting:9
To me all of the actors did a nice job considering this was a horrible script especially Liu Linda. She was the exceptional step mom from hell with a soft side.
The Music:7
The music wasn't bad in fact I liked some of the piano pieces and the main theme was a nice song too. Sometimes the music just wasn't played at the right moment, plus the main theme was overused. Other than that great job.
Overall I loved this show, but I just can't rewatch it. It's hard for me to rewatch shows like these because I am a comedy fan plus a big crybaby. Hope you guys who are thinking about checking this out will like it. Sorry for the long review, I'll try to shorten it next time.

I watched fated to love you first and I must admit it, this was WAYYYYY better than Fated to Love you. Please don't kill me and let me explain why.

For starters the story was better. It did not drag out too long and the subplots were actually interesting. Only the certain scenes felt unnecessary, but as a whole all episodes played a role in telling the story. Also this one is not as melodramatic. Some similarities between the two stories are of course how two people who had significant others meet and fall in love. However the main lead guy is not such a jerk like Ethan plus he falls for the lead girl first.

Their is not one character I can't stand in this drama. It is shocking, but I even like Ai Wei the force in between the two leads. Once again though I wish Kingone and Raine can somehow end up together in at least one drama.

Probably the only problem I had was with the opening song. I just don't like it. Otherwise amazing drama.

The following is an Everything HONEST Review which uses the styles of ScreenJunkies' Honest trailers and Cinema Sins' Everything Wrong With. In other words this review will have loads of sarcasm. You have been warned.

Its been a while since Taiwanese has done a live adaption of a manga series and 8/9 years since it has been GOOD(Mars,It Started With a Kiss,Devil Beside You), but its okay because Taiwanese adaptions of manga is back with Skip Beat.

A story based on a Japanese manga that ACTUALLY sticks to the manga instead of shitting on the source material like Dragonball Evolution. Meet Gong Xi, a girl out for vengence after she realized that for years childhood friend Shang was using her. She's kinda dense, but a prodigy in acting without any prior training? Okay now I'm confused.

Her quest for vengence leads her to showbiz where the most sophiscated asshole lies Dung He Lian. Yet its okay because he has something to make up for it, make that six things... ABS. These two "incompatiable" people will develop the most platonic love relationship ever that features encouraging words, loving stares, love advice, heart beats, and fantasies of kissing. Ughh, it gets aggravating at times.

Their love story isn't the only thing interesting in this drama. In fact watch as how Gong Xi acting growth is deemed more important than her revenge, her relationship with He Lian, her friendship with the best second female lead ever, and her past. But damn can that girl act.

A drama that develops a strong fan base because of the two Korean actors in it and loses a fraction of people because of the cliffhanger ending while maintaing fans of the original story that know that the original story is not over yet.

Staring
Kyoko (Gon Xi)
Sho (Shang)
Ren (He lian)
Latex(Xian Sheng...wonder how many people get the reference to the manga)
Best Second Female Lead EVER(Qin)

Skip Beat! Man I wish they would do a season 2 of the drama and anime already because I am too lazy to read the manga.

Cliche Counter
Parent mean to their kid
flamboyant manager
popular childhood friend
main leads met each other in the past
so few...good job Taiwan!

Majisuka Gakuen 3 might as well be called Majisuka Prison considering the setting is not in school and in no way is a proper sequel to the second season. In fact it is at this point you wish they either bring back the older AKB48 girls or stop making Majisuka Gakuen.

Story 6:
In episode one I was shocked to see the whole setting change to a prison setting, however the story was tolerable. Paru is the new girl in the prison whom lost her boyfriend and is accused of killing him. She does not remember whether or not she actually killed him and you are thrust into her story as she tries to find the truth. But this wouldn't be a Majisuka Gakuen without fighting so while trying to figure out her past she fights her way reluctantly to the top. In ways she is like Maeda in how she takes off her hair bow when she is serious or as defending her "real stuff." However the copying falls short. What could have been a good story is ruined as the writers mess up the script towards the end of the story. It tried to make things complex, but ruined it by adding an unnecessary plot to the story. Plus it left a side plot unanswered. It the story ending was an open ending.
Characters 6 :
The characters are in some similar to the characters of the first two season of Majisuka Gakuen, however overall they are inferior. Yagi is a fail as another Gekikara considering we never see her actually fight and Paru is not like Maeda as she fights as if she is superior to everyone, but does not act cocky. It is not understandable. The only person who tops a character from the previous season is the guard who is way more perverted then the school doctor.
Acting 5:
It's bad enough that the characters are bad, but what makes it worse is the acting. Some of the members from the idol group should really stick to singing because their acting sucks. Probably the worst was Shimazaki Haruka. She made Paru character worse than it actually is by how she portrayed her. It was as if Paru had no emotion at all even when she was supposed to. NOt all the members were bad at acting, but they weren't spectacular either. It was mediocre at best.
Music 8:
What saved this show was it's catchy music. Unlike the first two seasons this season theme actually matched with the concept of bad ass girls fighting. I wish there was a full version. The ost's were typically played at the right moments and the fighting music was catchy.
Overall it was an okay drama. Nothing good, but it is not horrible. It's the type of drama you would watch if you were bored.

The following is an EVERYTHING HONEST REVIEW

Today I review a classic in Taiwanese drama, Devil Beside You.

A story that has paved the way for some of the biggest cliches in modern Taiwanse dramas. Meet Jiang Meng a.k.a Ahmon(Mike He), the biggest douchbag in Taiwanse drama history that has a nice side... because that is not cliche. Seriously even back then I would think that is a cliche idea. He falls for Qi Yue(Rainie Yang)the poster girl for plain women everywhere. In order to make their otherwise BORING relationship interesting the two are to become step siblings! Wow that twist seems incestuous... but who cares? Really no one in this drama cares as if there relationship is not odd even by a little bit.
But if that wasn't enough the two and by two I mean Qi Yue must face the most VIOLENT, MANIPULATIVE second leads ever. While Ahmon gets the laid back ones. Probably thanks to money.
So sit back, relax, and enjoy a romance satisfy all romance needs unless your into Twilight. Then nothing else can please you.

Starring
Plain ol' Rain( Rainie Yang)
Abs(Mike He)
Nice Guy finish last(Kingone Wang)
Ms. Steal Ya Man(Qing Zi)
Emo girl(Li Xiang)

Devil Beside you...wait what happened to Qi Yue's other friend. Not Qing Zi, the other girl. She disappeared towards the end. Oh well. She wasn't that important. But seriously am I the only one who noticed every time Kingone is in a drama with Rainie Yang he is ALWAYS the second lead. Just me? OKay now I'm done.

Cliche Counter
1. Male lead is rich.
2. Male lead is a douchebag, but is nice to the girl he loves.
3. Female lead social status is noticeably different from the male lead.
4. Female lead friend hooks up with one of female leads love interest.
5. Female lead gets physically bullied...wait this is actual rare in Taiwanese dramas.
6. Male lead and second male lead dual via basketball game or something similar. This happens twice.
7. Male lead's grandma tries to to set him up with a girl of her choosing.
In case you guys are unaware this review have a lot of sarcasm based off the Honest Reviews and Everything Wrong With videos about movies. You should check them out on youtube under the usernames Screenjunkies and Cinemasins. If I missed any sins let me know.

This remake of the hit Japanese series was good if not better than the original. My advice to people planning to watch this and have seen the original watch it! Stop trying to compare the two and watch it as if you have never seen the original. I am not going to compare the two shows, but simply state where people typically compare them. Now on to the review.
In the beginning you are introduced to a school falling apart with low morale after the news of it's closing down in 3 months. Then enters Mizuki a girl that admired a guy named Sano so much that she transferred into an all boys school to protect him and encourage him after he helped her when she was depressed.
This is where people typically start comparing the two series with the actors. Annchan in my opinion played Mizuki perfectly. She did not act girly or suspicious, but appearance wise it was obvious she was a girl. Sano which was played by Nakamura in the beginning left you with the impression that he was a tsundere(mean on the outside sweet in the inside). Their friendship/love relationship grew at a steady pace and never seemed fake. Shohei will never be as sexy as Toma, but he did play Nakatsu well. the pacing of this show is moderate and overall great acting. I enjoyed this show.

Overall rating is actually an 8.5.

The following is an Everything HONEST Review. Sarcasm up ahead. You have been warned.

Taiwanese drama. You love its comedy, predictable plot, bitchy female leads, annoying subplots, plot conviences, sexy kiss scenes, and likeable first female, Watch as this drama completely shits on this tradition with the exception of sexy kiss scenes. Mhhhhmmmm Peter. Mhmmmmm Xiao Ming.
Meet Xia Mo, the most manipulative female lead since...I can't compare her to another Taiwanese character. Damn I need to expand my list. Watch as she use guys for money, use guys for jealousy, use guys to rise to the top; things a first female lead wouldn't do. She does this in order to help her ill brother, help her friends, help her enemies, and repay for her mistakes; things a first female lead would do. Most REALISTIC female lead ever. She will be given the HARDEST choice ever. Get it because the guys have HARD abs. Chose between an OVERBEARING rich guy that gets jealous regardless of who she is with or an INSINCERE self made rich guy that does not trust her.
Fathom at how a show can jump to five years after five minutes only to play a flashback every episode. Seriously what was the point? A show where it is hard to tell who she'll end up with until you figure out who is the first male lead. A show who's message is more than a love story, but a story about a girl who will do ANYTHING for the guy she truly loves.... her brother.
Starring
I'm a Barbie girl in a barbie world (Hsu Barbie)
Liu Kang(Luo Xi)
Family Guy(Peter Ho)
Summer Desire... I figured out who she was going to end up with in episode 7... new record!
Cliche Counter

Male Lead becomes rich
Female Lead becomes rich
Snobby rival
Dorky best friend
Ill loved one
