This had a good material which got sloppy in execution somewhere along the way. But that's not the reason I disliked it. I have seen far worse dramas with fast-forwarding and just concentrating on the main couple if I liked one or both of them. Tbh, this one was pretty entertaining in spite of the lost control. The actors were great the main couples' chemistry was awesome, etc. The comedy and Ji Chang Wook's lips were the best though. I loved the fl's character. She has now become one of my favourite fls when I really don't like most of them. I liked jin Ah's acting in JBL but the romantic scenes when came the kisses were mortifying. It was such an engulfing drama and whenever the kiss scenes happened they knocked me out of the realness of the whole story. I was worried that she won't do justice to JCW's hotness. Glad to be wrong. She performed to perfection. Prolly thought to not break JCW-fan's hearts.
The thing that made me stop watching it at episode 11 -- the indirect age-shaming of the sfl. This could be a solitary opinion but I needed to express it. The writer here creatively shifted the age-shaming from the fl to the sfl, unlike usual. And because I could skip through the side stuff, I still managed to go on till episode 11, though uncomfortably. The sfl was shown selfish when she took her promotion over digging into her fiancé's disappearance, although later she said she did it to further enquire about his case but she actually didn't follow it up. Later she tried to blame Dong Chan when he came back, playing the victim card. Then she colluded with the villains upon realising that the ex bf has moved on. All these are enough ingredients for me to not like a character. But didn't came close to disliking her. Why? Because, how the f did Ma dong Chan move on from her so easily? He was, at first going to continue the relationship. Then when he found out how she did not investigate his disappearance, he didn't, fair enough, and moved on the next to next day with a younger looking chick! I get DC's connection with Mi Ran and trust me I was not shipping him with Ha young, never. But at least give her the respect of loving her once. Act like a f###ing normal person. I have seen sfls doing worse and yet the mls holding on to them like they are bloody oxygen (emotionally gearing myself for a similar situation in Itaewon Class). Here he just seemed to be trying to find an escape to dump her altogether from his memory. He started with being angry with her, then he said he didn't want to sully her reputation (whatever makes you flirt with MR), and finally -- he didn't live as many days as she did, so he is immature and selfish. Like wtf! He said it's yesterday for him and acts like it was last century in moving on. Did you even love her at one time? This seemed so shallow to me that I just couldn't emotional get myself into his second lovestory. I kept feeling bad for ha Young throughout. It seemed she was canned based on her age. I was still trying to go on. But in episode 11 when the write pronounced it through Ha Young when she said: I cannot forgive that my ex bf dumped me because I have aged and worn out (not these words exactly). It had me off it for good. Like screenwriter dudette, you are a woman. Why you write script like this? You seem to see what exactly the problem is still you carried it on. Were you pressured or something? It's not like this is a drama reflection of our society. It's too bubblegummy for that. If she only made the moving on process not faster than flash and let DOng Chann go through confusion over feeling similar feels for two woman at the same time and then gradually remove Ha Young from his heart, it would have been a repeat watch for me. There were plenty of episodes to complete the process. Beside this one horrible thing the show was pretty entertaining to me in spite of it's lacking storytelling.
It never crossed my mind that her hair looks oily! I thought it looked well-conditioned / shiny, not greasy or…
I have not read the webtoon either but I have seen the character pictures. Dami's hair could have been set a little better I think. Just my opinion. I am not fussy about characters' looks but here I just feel that way every time I see dami and nara. :))
I have been postponing this drama for: 3) Story nothing special or interesting. 2) Joseon is a place I never like to go. 1) How do you choose between Kim MinJae and Seo Ji Hoon? Like why the casting directors hate me?
I am like where I have I heard this similar style and beautiful voice of my favouritist track Go Away (I am not so well versed with kpop, excuse the freaking me)??? Then Done for me - de luna pops up in my yt recommendations prolly because I have been watching the go away track a million times. Eureka!!!
Was this a web-toon? I'm reading cheese in the trap now!
I know find yourself. All I have been doing these days is marathoning Chinese dramas since kdramas won't stop disappointing me. I love Chinese costume fantasy dramas the most. Find yourself is 50+ episodes of the same relationship and age shaming shenanigan. I will have ptsd after watching it. So, I would rather not.
You won't believe how much I waited for Jung Hae In's debut as a ml but I couldn't watch either of his dramas unfortunately. I cannot watch stories and characters that slowly kill me no matter how much I love the actors.

I had sls a lil bit in CITT, I admit, but I love PHJ too much. And sure the story needs to stay on track. If you adapting from an original work you should stay true to the story even with the creative liberty stuff. Something in the rain I quit after 4 episodes. My patience was hemorrhaging due the intolerable ageshaming of the fl.

He was available. there was a huge controversy around it at that time. I don't know the details but his role was apparently cut short prolly because everyone was loving Seo Kang jun's character. The webtoon fan's were very unhappy about it. PHJ too seemed a little disappointed. There is a movie CITT. Have you seen it? All the characters are changed except for PHJ. It doesn't have the same feel tho.

Haha! I loved it too. Just one problem I had. I am a huge Park haeJin fan and the drama somehow just reduced his screen time in the last few episodes. I loved everything about it otherwise. I didn't even mind the ending when I usually hate open endings.
