This dude's got smiling eyes, just like Om. His eyes literally do the smiling for him. So beautiful! Whenever I watch any of pope's lakorns I really wish for more happy scenes so that I can see that gorgeous smile.
Well, for me it is still 10/10. I loved this one and I really enjoyed... It was really one crazy ride ♥ Forever…
I have wanted to see Shin Sung Rok as a lead since my love from another star, the first time I saw him. But not like this, being a poopy main lead and all. I can't accept a sadist hero even it's played my one and only "oppa" Ji Sung.
Even though, I am a diehard jin hyuk fan, it's impossible to not take notice how amazing an actor SSR is and a man, sexy as devil's behind.
Ironically, I also was more annoyed with Bok Soo character than anyone. It feels like he ended up being the hero…
Tell me 'bout it! His one-dimensional character was getting on my nerves. I tried to hold in for the sake of Seung Ho and Bo Ah (love them two), but finally, at the end of episode 7 all the buttons were pushed till busted. Dumped it to purgatory!
Welcome to the grief, chingu, though it's a very sad place to be. I had the same reason. Now, even though, I still…
Actually, I would rather she just went independent without a man. it's way better than her to somehow miraculously forgiving the dog crap of a husband and living with him. The writer better not serve me with that shit. I am fuming already!
And about the face change, I don't know if I could relate to the character as a completely different person after seeing him for 48 episodes, even it was not CJH. I couldn't feel Yoo Eun JAe's Character in Age of youth 2 when they changed the actress.
How and when are these two gonna happen! She has 0.00 % of romantic feeling toward him. It has a resonance of I can hear your voice. Btw, they both are so good looking that they practically look like siblings. The facial and physical symmetry and all. I hope the chemistry works out. I have no doubt about LJS, but this is my first time watching Lee Na Young. I love Jang Yoo Jin. I wish she got lead roles! It's been a minute since she's started acting, I think, and she's is pretty good at it.
Welcome to the grief, chingu, though it's a very sad place to be. I had the same reason. Now, even though, I still…
I completely agree with you on the unfairness toward Choi Jin Hyuk thing. I think they decided it along the way. As Sung rok's character started getting more interest of the people, they made it bigger and switched the importance and screen time of the two characters. I like Lee Hyuk and agree that he's a great actor, but they shouldn't have filed down Wang Shik's character like so, finally offing him for good. If he was important to the script they could have worked around his schedule or shot some final scenes in advance or something. Really depressed at the unfairness! Now if they decide to show Sunny and Sung Rok a couple in the last moment, I'll simply can my plan of watching it at all. Girl should better go solo.
Honestly, my first reason to watch this drama was to see Jang Nara + Choi Jinhyuk play a couple, because I got…
Welcome to the grief, chingu, though it's a very sad place to be. I had the same reason. Now, even though, I still wanna watch it for the intriguing story, I will be feeling heartbroken and empty through the journey. First time regretting starting a show after airing is done. :'(
Watching ZZ's acting is a treat in itself. But God the pace is making me pass out from time to time. It's somewhat like watching the daily chores of peeps. And what gives with the incidental music going all rogue in some places. Like the slow beats are alright, but in portions where I am certain that my feeling is of anger towards the shady mother-daughter duo on the shenanigans they are pulling, the music is telling me otherwise. So I am all confused now. Am I supposed to feel angry here!
This is definitely different from the usual historical C-dramas. No going overboard with the theatrics. And I like that. Hope something interesting happens soon. The Title track and the introductory music are skin-chillingly beautiful.
I got an inkling after watching the whole thing that the writer/director and JTBC were in cahoots in the procrastination planning to almost ruin the show. The writer/director kept pushing back the romance and the channel the episodes.
There were 12 episodes of foreplay only to give us the taste of the real romance for just one and a three quarter episodes, breaking them up again at the end of the 14th episode. Then one episode of painful separation and one of the ML chasing the girl anew, until the last 5 minutes. As soon as the FL was released from all the guilt nonsense laid upon her by the fam, she scrambled to the ML, and then the final beautiful kiss. Then they lived happily ever after off-screen. The end! Wtf!
Don't get me wrong, I love me some very tall, snowy and handsome YGS for an uninterrupted 16 episodes, even if he was just chewing gum. But yet, I was kinda disappointed, ‘cause I went in with expectations. After maneuvering through all the hyped criticism (a lot) and loving the nice comments, my expectation was pretty hyped too. But what I got was 12 episodes of build up to a something that ended before settling in. So much ado about a blip! Bah!
I liked it, but would have loved if there was more cheese. In this case, I would have compromised with the cavities. I liked the lighthearted fun, some scenes were really lol, lol, lol. But it couldn’t compensate for the delaying of the couple’s becoming a couple.
This show was on the lines of, I am not a robot and Secretary Kim. An ML with a severe phobia/ptsd which is miraculously healed by the “leeeve” of a good woman (totally realistic!). But I'll take that, creative liberty in fiction and all, just give the goshdamn love more screen time, would ya! like the Robot and Kim. I know it's the journey of his healing and blah blah, but give ma bub a break and some more happy time, that would make me happy too. Instead, all this show does is waltzing about the real happiness. It was an endless loop of going back and forth. just between lovers had more screen time for romance and happy-union than this.
All the actors did a fine job. The supporting cast was great. The brother was slap-worthy, sometimes. The dad had his reasons for stuff. The cleaning fairies were amusing and handsome. The bff was what I want for myself. Rooftop Daddy-long-legs was awesome! Though I don't have any SLS, I loved his character. And I shipped him with Sun Gyeol, even if for a bit. I liked the secretary except for the one time that I didn’t (y’all know why). Mom was a breath of fresh air. None of the cliche crap. Conniving haraboji seemed just like an obstacle in the video games, coming with more intensity with each advanced level. Not very convincing though. He was just for the sake of being there and was raised from the sidelines when situations needed to be messy.
The main leads were the reasons for my bracing the fury of frustration and not giving up. Purrfect, is the word. I am not gonna say anything special about YGS. It's never that I don't love him like crazy. Talking about him for me would be running a tap to the Niagara Falls. But one thing though, who decided that God awful inverted-bowl hairstyle for him! I want to test them on hate-for-YGS-meter.
Kim yoo Jung is a delight to watch here. I've liked her and YJG since iljimae. I didn't like her acting in moonlight though. Especially the second part was pretty whatever. But she was back here, and how! Her acting was mature and seasoned. She was playing a 20-something and I saw her so. She was so convincing. As soon as the board clapped, she became the character. No trace of her real-self. The chemistry came across as breathing. I have seen many experienced actresses feeling a bit twitchy even if for a second before warming up to such scenes. But she was a pro from the get go. No awkwardness, no drawing back of the head, nothing. I saw a few BTSs and she even initiated some of the moments (btw has anybody seen those BTSs, they are life). Kudos to the actors for giving such a great chemistry. KYJ had chemistry with everyone on the set, even off-screen.
In conclusion, I love the actors and loved their chemistry here. But I wanted more romance than one and a half episodes. I wish them to come back soon (together or not) with more romantic dramas, where there will be more episodes to love than waiting and moping about it. So botha you pretties, until next time -- WHIGHTING! Come back even stronger and more charming! I’ll be eagerly waiting for your next dramas! Hope you're not reading this!
