Well, this was crap. Strangely in spite of the toxicity (which btw is synonymous to Tharntype relationship) and the problematic parts, the 1st one still had a story. Badly told, whatsoever. But this one is just characters loitering in a lakorn not being entertaining but annoying. Type was a jerk in s1 but i could still see his struggle beneath his jerkness. Here he's just an unreasonable jerk by default character setting. Tharn was manipulative and well he did all those things to Type that he did in s1 but here he's just a doormat. Then there is this new couple Leo-Fiat, like another version of tharntype. Fiat annoyed the hell outta and me (But he was a human being still, as opposed to the monster that was Lhong in S1). And the rest 98 new couples. Like why didn't you just stick to showing shit inside Tharntype story, why need more filler couples? Did they run out of crap for 1 story?!
It's a shame Type's character is such a grumpy killjoy so he's always snarling. Gulf has a beautiful smile, and the 1-2 times he smiled i was like 😍💓 Their chemistry was as usual great but it felt sparse in the boatload of crap events.
So the problematic parts of this story are: 1. A lil boy is molested by a man and he grew up hating gays without having the awareness of differentiating between gays and pedophiles and never learning that straight peeps can be pedophiles and gay peeps can be not. 2. When the boy grows up he meets a gay guy as his roommate and declares his revulsion towards gays to him only to be further confirmed in his notion of gays being sickos because of his gay roommate when he kisses and touches the boy while he's sleeping and goes on to give him a nonconsensual bj. All this shown as a way of romantic courting. 3. There's another boy who's been gangr*ped when he was younger, on the instigation of a sicko who got away with it without even a slap on the wrist.
🤘Just another day in Lakorn except for the part that the writer seems to not have a high opinion of gay peeps or maybe they simply didn't percieve in what kind of light they are showing the gay peeps. So well, just another ignorant day in Lakorn.🤷♀️
If you have been watching Lakorns for a long time you would know there are no boundaries to romanticizing and not punishing lowest of the low acts in them. I have picked my lows like misogyny and a few other things that I am immune to now (usually). I draw the line with r*pe. in that i dont watch laks with romantic r*pes. I am never surprised by them tho. When you become a seasoned lak watcher, even when you don't watch them, you get used to Laks having triggering content. So you don't get surprised. At least this is how it's with me. Although I still get annoyed by some stuff. More immunization to do, I guess.
About the toxic relationship between Tharn and Type, it was nothing compared to the problematic parts. I didn't even notice it beside the above 3 things.
If you can blur out the problems and toxicity, you may notice that the leads have great chemistry. There's a certain sizzling-without-trying-to-be-raunchyness to their intimate scenes. And there's a story there too which without the whole Lakorn staples and with good writing would have been in focus for more people. Like how Type is homophobic mainly because of his childhood trauma, but he slowly starts getting attracted towards his gay roommate and realizing that he may be gay or bi too, so he tries to cover it with denial and more hate but slowly acknowledge and accept his feelings and his sexual orientation.
I liked Gulf's acting through the different stages of his evolution. His overall acting is good too. And Mew was charming in those flirty and romantic parts (not those😶, but the normal ones😍). Mew and Gulf both look so hot, and both their smiles are just 😍 I'd have loved to see them in another Lakorn but it seems they are not doing stuff together anymore. Sad🥺
p.s. The viki subbing team for this Lakorn chose the ideal name- I am not gay but my boyfriend is 😂😂

I am trying really hard to watch it cos I adore ISH (huge crush) and love KSH's acting, but this really is putting me in a bad mood. Besides the story being badly written and the jarring shift in tones throughout, it seems to look for excuses to show how miserable Han Gye Yeol's life is and how she always needs saving from this or that man. The problem is I don't understand, is her character written this way as a punishment for taking her life in last life or is it how the writer thinks a not so well-off female should be (if the latter is true then it could be worse but then if they are trying to show reality then they should also know a character managing these kinda situations through her life will be way wiser just by virtue of living her life). This fl trope is so early 2000's. "Not pretty", not smart but still manages to become a doctor, not good at perceiving the simplest things, extremely righteous, fantastically gullible despite of having to maneuver life through hardship, and so on.
There's this scene where the ex-bf comes to her rescue when a woman, whose husband Gye Jeol saved by diagnosing the right illness when they were thinking it was cancer and then treating him, was badmouthing her character. Like wtf! And all this is supposed to be funny (?!)
I'll take a break and come back later maybe, try to finish for the actors. Too primitive for my taste. Would've ignored everything if I was even a lil bit entertained. But other than a few scenes, all is so boring.
I loved the positively exaggerated unrealisticness of it. Made for pure enjoyment and satisfaction and accomplished it for me. I wasn't expecting anything going into it. I didn't even know about it, shockingly, despite of 4 of the main actors being my faves. I enjoyed it through and through. I mean can I just have more fls like Mi Ran. Don't care if the conflicts were made to disappear with one "Evanesco" at a time. Sometimes for some things I want to suspend my disbelief till it's the reality, if it entertains me properly. I love to see more good characters in a show than bad ones. I have enough bad characters around me irl.
The chemistry of the mc was drooling 💯 and so were the 2 men. The acting was smooth, even of the small characters like the crazy fangirl, head of the Knag Ho fanclub who dumped egg on Mi Ran's head. Wanted to slap her real hard but also could see the lil bit of hesitation on her face while perpetrating that shit. So, good acting.
I had just 1 dissatifaction that too from the heart of a "I want more than more" viewer, I wish they showed those crazy fans getting some karma back at them like going to jail for a day and getting some bad record from it so they can't get a job or further education. Don't think they need those since their only business and life is entitled-meddling in their idol's life.
When Tinn asked Gun, do you like that, khun nu? and Gun replied, you mean cake? and looked at him smiling like that my doubts were confirmed then and there... Fourth is an ace flirt and everyone will go cake for him 🤭

The bestesestestest bl series I have seen so far and one of the best dramas too. This is gorgeous in totality. Beautiful story, acting, and music (added to my Spotify). This was so close to reality, not overdramatized. A story so beautifully told that you will understand every character, even the ones you don't love to bits.
I cried but also felt the feeling of fulfillment. My heart was breaking but I was in support of both Vlad and Karl.
I am usually not a fan of season twos or episode heavy dramas, but for once here I wished there was at least 16 1-hour episodes or a second season. Not because the story was incomplete in any way. It was perfectly finished. I just didn't want to let them go. It felt like I fell in love and then we have to go our ways, and I just wanted to have some more time to get their scent out of my system to get over and move on.
I am giving it a 10 star cos not rating it here would be a disservice, but this show is unratable for me.
p.s: 2 things. Are Paolos lashes for real?! And how does Ian toggles so smoothly between confident charmer to innocent heartbroken lover expression?!
Beautiful series! The story isn't unique but the packaging is so well done. The best part is of course the acting (by everyone) and the chemistry between the leads. Sam Lin deserves a special mention tho. He was dazzling with his beautiful voice and fantastic acting. Rewatchable without a question.
