Our ML is still underestimating his wife.To assume, she wouldn’t roam the country looking for her sister 🤦🏻♀️
I actually hope she can knock some sense into him in the future, both for underestimating her capabilities and missing his opportunities to confess his real identity lol. 😂
Destroying the dam was the same tactic as in the Prisoner of Beauty, but it feels more satisfying here because they actually DID IT, while in the other drama mentioned, it only remained a plan because they were able to prevent the disaster. I'm not comparing btw, I just noticed the similarity and I loveee both dramas and their excellent writing!
I want Snow Kong and Deng Kai in another drama, and maybe it could also be in a game of deception, hatred and obsession! Whatever works, maybe just lessen the toxicity of the relationship lol 'cause their chemistry is also fire. 🔥
Guys, I think the drama subtly made it clear that his intention to hide his identity wasn't "just because." Before leaving, he asked her once if she wanted to go with him or wait for him, and Chang Yu chose neither—she chose herself—and Yan Zheng respects that. Revealing himself means allowing her to grieve for a person who's at the death's door (him, he assume), so to spare her from the grief too early, he rather not tell her for now. Not to mention how bittersweet their last moments together were, he must've assumed she was still angry with him. Also, if he was a Marquis, then she will be a Marchioness [if their wedding is still valid], and he doesn't want her to carry a responsibility she didn't agree to have in the first place or be burdened with. He doesn't want to confine her in a household and he wants her to be free, and I think this is the reason why he was planning to marry her again. That time will surely be when she's already aware of his real identity and she's prepared what kind of role will she take on—for her to agree to marry again or not. I didn't know the story of the original novel, so the thoughts and guesses were purely from what I've seen in the drama [until Ep19].
Never expected that a Filipino actor-comedian would actually become one of the priests here. He's talking seriously, yet me and my siblings can't help but laugh at first. Koreans really know how to make the Filipino viewers engage.
It's not Zhang Ling He. It's most likely He Chang Xi, the one who initially acted as Song Yan (but his face was already changed to Zhu Zan Jin's face here in the drama). It's literally indicated in the cast list.
Just within 4 days of airing, it already has 19k viewers in MDL and 9.1 ratings!? There are NO rating boomers at all? Is it that gooood? I SHOULDN'T MISS OUT!
AAAAA It finally ended! I'll miss my parents, YWY and XHD. 🥹 Everything turned out so well, thanks to the cast and crew of this excellent drama! The only thing I'm concerned about was that they weren't able to show if Cen Jintian was given a proper goodbye like what they did for Wang Zhao. But I'd like to think they did, since from the start, they always remembered every person who who were good to them. Overall, it was a really good wrap! YWY and XHD were able to have more happy moments before their story in the book concluded, and even though they met in the subway only for a short moment, it didn't take away the happiness this show made the viewers feel in the end. It was a great roller-coaster ride with this drama!
Watched this in the cinemas today. The main leads' acting were so good as usual, but the story is typical so there's nothing really refreshing for me. I still did enjoy it, though. 7.5/10.
