I can't find any source where GMA Network might have indicated how many episodes this one is, so editing the information here is tricky. Currently, we already had 6 episodes, but here it states it has 0 episodes that's why I'm also not able to update it on my watch list. Hopefully, MDL would notice this page (and my edits) and update it.
The pioneer episodes were cliche yet so fun! It's predictable but so far, I'm liking it the way it is. It's light-hearted so I won't have high expectations on this drama, I just hope the fun won't dissipate as the story continues. Anyways, I'm so back to 2nd gen interaction! First, Yoona and Junho. Now, Seohyun and Taecyeon. Luv it! <3
The timing is crazy, I watched this today (Independence Day) and Francis greeted me "Happy Independence Day (on screen). 😂 Happy Independence Day to my fellow Filipinos!
After trying to hold myself back from watching it because I've watched the original and have long known the ending, I finally decided to try it. The movie was fun and youthful, and I love the cast. Congratulations to Da Hyun's movie debut! Unfortunately, I enjoyed it less than I expected because it lacks some things that could have made the viewers connect to the characters more—and one of them is a good storyline. I mean it was good, but not as good as making the best out of the limited time a movie has. I agree with one of the reviews: The interactions between the leads were so limited and they barely had time to connect and fall in love, we were not even sure of the FL's point of view 'cause she was almost reduced to a side character who's just a love interest, instead of a headstrong girl with aspirations like in the other version. The lack of connection between the leads made the ending feel less painful, but it's also the reason why I didn't shed tears which made it lack the emotional impact I thought it would make me feel. It's still enjoyable and decent overall though, I love the crazy moments and the bond of the high school friends. 7/10 for me.
I feel bad for Man Man, but by nature, it's reasonable for Shao to sulk after learning those. The dialogues between them were so intriguing though, I love how we hear both sides and as to why they both feel that way. But please, I don't want to see that misunderstanding take a little longer, I badly need to see them reconcile early 'cause we only have a few episodes left and the viewers need more happy moments. 😭
I love it. I never expected that his historical movie would depict women empowerment and power display during Marcos dictatorship, but it pulled off these themes so well. I initially expected it would be funny because the title in Filipino ("Mga Kuwentong Barbero" or "Barber's Stories/Tales") is a metaphor for "stories that doesn't seem to be real," but in this movie, it portrayed the literal and metaphor meaning of the title. So witty! Also, Eugene is known for her comedy movies and series, so I expected this to be a light watch—but it turned out it wasn't, and it was much more than that! 9/10.
Are Lady Yulou and Wei Yan really main characters as well? They have little screen time, but are given main roles title here in MDL so I'm confused with its accuracy.
[EP18] Poor Man Man just got kicked out of the stargazing (veiled as divination) moment she originally planned to have with Wei Shao. He's so clueless lmao, he better regain himself and let the real stargazing with her happen soon. 😭
I don't get it. Why is June already shown way back when Dome just found out about the Midnight Museum, then later on, showing Dome and Khatha trying to stop the typewriter ghost which resulted to "June being born from a story" (as Khatha said in Ep4). I'm confused, as what happened in Ep1 was not a backstory. Is it a plothole?
Anyways, I'm so back to 2nd gen interaction! First, Yoona and Junho. Now, Seohyun and Taecyeon. Luv it! <3
Happy Independence Day to my fellow Filipinos!
It's 5:26am and I haven't slept yet, help.
