The production companies need money to make the drama first. Netflix put a salary cap per episode this year. Disney doesn't need to - I think this is why they are previewing so many kdramas with top stars for 2026.

I read the title too fast and thought it was going to be a story about baking...I hope it turns out good (divorce insurance was quite poor)!

You make good points. However I'm not sure if money necessarily buys you better friends. Also how would a celebrity know if a non-celebrity is just interested in them for money or not? There has to be some trust involved.

Tbh I think JJH is one of the few celebrities who genuinely seems happy and has it all.
