One of the best Variety shows! Definitely recommended!
The best cast! When I started watching, I only knew a few of the members, yang yang, didi, jiajia, wang yao qing, dong dong. And to be very honest I only started watching because of yang yang. But I must say I have grown to love all the members! Their friendships are really cute to watch from the oldest brother knowing and remembering only 1 other member's name to him building a bond with every single one of them. It's one of those few variety shows where there is no tea or hatred between the members in any way (from my perspective at least). It was really fun to see yang yang really step out of his comfort zone as he carried the responsibilities as a leader. There is no member who is not funny! Every episode I will watch with tears rolling down my cheeks from my unstoppable laughter. I looked forward to each episode every week! The chemistry between the brothers is undeniable and they have even grown close with wu xin! Wang yao qing really surprised me as he is truly salvage! He is so funny without even trying! What really surprised me also was how strong a competitor the older bros team is, at the start I was thinking that they might be at a disadvantage given their age but I was wrong! Watch even if you don't know any of the members, because you will still have a good laugh!Was this review helpful to you?
A very summarized version.
If you have watched the Chinese version, I would strongly advise that you do not watch this version. (Do watch the wedding dance scene though it’s probably the best scene.) However this version does have some good points to it..Pros:
-second ML’s looks (TBH I think swimmer guy in this version is more attractive) and his acting is on par with the actor of the original version.
-the cute relationship between FL and her dad
-making tweaks to the story to make it fit into a korean context
-second FL and third ML relationship
Cons:
-ML is not cold enough. He has a pretty boy face and really is obvious with his feelings. He smiles way more than ML in the original version which makes it not suit the character.
-the transition between scenes tend to be very abrupt. With the time limitations, a lot of things need to be cut but it became that a lot of details were not shown making it especially hard to connect.
-FL’s tone. I have watched FL in dr romantic 2 and u actually liked her acting there and never felt that she was forcing herself into the character. But in this drama, her tone just irritates me, it’s so exaggerated that I just cringe every time she says “cha heon”. She also ruined the famous opening scene :( Note: in the original version the FL never ever speaks in a cutesy voice so she’s definitely not modeling the original version.
-ML can be more expressive with his emotions. Granted it’s his first time acting so he probably doesn’t know exactly how to yet? But in the original version, It was also FL’s first time acting.
-The missing height difference (there is but not as significant)
The Chinese version had 24-one hour-episodes while this version has 24-twenty minutes-episodes. From this you can already know that they probably cut out many details and events.
A few important details that I felt they really neglected are:
-ML and his mom’s relationship
-the dedication of the teacher
-how ML became warmer to FL
-second FL’s love for the doctor
-the seriousness of second ML’s injury
Overall, I must say I’m pretty disappointed as I had high hopes. I think the production team really made a mistake when they decided 20 minute episodes would be sufficient.

Cute and Quirky: Love in Moonlight X Ashes of Love
Firstly really handsome ML!!! haha!! I must say he really looks better in traditional style. FL really carried this role really really well! Super cute and adorable, very different from her other roles that I've watched before (Meteor Garden and Love the way you are). The supporting roles are also really hilarious! Laughter and tears are to be expected when watching this drama!The first 10 episodes were really fantastic.. lots of laughter and great chemistry between the cast. Had pretty high expectations for this drama and was prepared to give it a rating of at least 9. However, it does get a little draggy in the middle part which surprisingly did not cause me to drop the drama (I tend to drop dramas hehe), probably thanks to the random funny parts. But I must admit I did watch a couple of episodes half heartedly and I had to push myself to endure. And I'm glad that I did! Another thing that made my rating drop is probably like the bad guy part was a little confusing to me haha.
This story really reminded me of Love in Moonlight/Moonlight drawn by the Clouds (one of my absolute faves probably rewatched it like 3-4 times) and Ashes of Love (another one of my faves). The story line is like 75% similar to Love in Moonlight and then 25% similar to Ashes of Love but definitely less serious than ashes of love.
Most importantly.. if you're like me... you will want to know..
Second male lead syndrome? yes but not that bad hahaah probably because ML is just soooo good looking!
Watch if you love romcoms however if you're sick of the classic girl pretends to be boy then you might wanna skip this!

The best chemistry!!
This drama is so sweet so cute so fluffy, it just makes your heart flutter when you watch it!The chemistry between ML and FL is so strong! I think it really helps when actors have acted in previous dramas together or when they are already friends. ML and FL previously acted in Please put your head on my shoulder (another superb drama). To be very honest, in that drama I didn’t have a good impression of ML probably because of the character he portrayed. His visuals Is also So much better in this drama.
ML improved tremendously in this drama you can really feel and understand what his character is feeling. FL is one of my favorite Cdrama actress so she performed exceptionally well as always.
The second couple is really commendable as well! Their story is so cute to watch!
Also, rather than being just a sweet love story, this drama also gives a special hidden message of following your dreams and goals as well as protecting those of your loved ones.
Definitely recommended to watch if you love light hearted dramas!
Also, this drama can be watched on YouTube with minimal silent parts (10s for like 3 of the episodes then none) which is a problem for a lot of Cdramas on YouTube.

Wholesome Family Drama
I love the storyline! This drama covers family, friendship, love and teaches many many lessons!The 5 main leads has THE BEST CHEMISTRY, They are really comfortable with each other and really come off as a family. Tan Song yun may be the oldest but she really fit perfectly in the youngest sister role! It's just so cute to watch her interact with her 2 brothers! The bromance between the 2 guys is really great as well! The 2 dads are really so cute to watch as they show how love can be expressed differently. They showcase a lot of different perspectives of parent-child relationship which is eye opening. As someone who loves light hearted rom-coms this is one of my favorite dramas, with sufficient romance to satify my little heart.
For those who worry about second male lead syndrome happening in this drama (me), do not worry it is minimal which makes it so much easier to watch!
A must watch for everyone as it is really a heartwarming drama to watch about the importance of family!

If you love contract marriage or gogo squid, you will love this!
So to start of, when I am able to binge watch a drama, it truly deserves a high score from me because I am one who loves to drop dramas. This drama I finished in 48 hours, I would have done it in 24 hours if I didnt have other commitments.It is so cuteeeee! Their chemistry is one of the best!! A shocker for FL because from what I have read she's a newbie. ML ive seen him in find yourself and although he had a supporting role there, he already capture my attention so when my bestie recommended that I watch this drama I was excited for his performance and he really didnt disappoint!
The progression from hate to love is truly lovely to watch. This is one of those dramas that will have you grinning from ear to ear. Their age gap is pretty big, like 6 years but it wasn't an issue at all. FL tends to run into trouble often which ends with ML having to step in and help her at the same time she helps him to become more human-like. The way he begin to take care of her is just the best....
*If you're like me , you might get thrown off by the teacher-student synopsis but dont worry she's actually a graduating student and he's a new prof so there really isn't much teacher-student time. Oh ya and no second male lead syndrome hehe!

This is practically gogo squid without the flashbacks so its a lighter, shorter but equally cute version.
Seriously worth a try because its so easy to watch with its 35-37 mins episodes.
Shall go back to healing my withdrawals from this drama... hope I can move on to something new soon..

Cute Highschool/College drama
At first I was put off by FL because I didn’t like her hairstyle and I was unsure of her being a lead because my impression of her was from Metero garden 2018. But she did prove me wrong with her acting skills!I remembered ML from Accidentally in Love and I remembered him because he was even more handsome than the ML in that.
ML’s bestfriend I remember from The love equation. He is definitely more attractive here.
The story overall is pretty good. I must say that the first half is pretty slow (like literally barely any progression in terms of romance). But things progress at a better phase in the 2nd 1/2.
ML and FL ‘s chemistry is really good especially during their high school scenes! They were really funny!

Cute girl warms the heart of cold serious boss!
To start off, I dropped this drama once because of the first 20 mins of the first episode. I felt that the scenes were too cringe because the FL was like putting in her all to attract the attention of ML. But I must say I am super super glad that I gave this drama another go! This is probably one of my faves such that I am shipping yangzi and Lixian together! I loved how FL was able to slowly melt the cold heart of ML! It’s so cute how his actions start to change because of her! Other than the romance, another great feature of this drama is the team spirit, patriotism and brotherhood! I loved the chemistry between the ML and his old team mates, they are more like family and some people find the flashbacks abit too much but I really loved them! ML’s interactions with the boys under him is just too cute! He is like their dad being all strict but then he really shows how he cares for them! The patriotism of ML is really touching to watch, he really wanted to help make China proud and it’s not too overbearing! ML and FL may have a 10 year age gap but they’re both amateurs in love so it was really cute how they make similar mistakes!The e sports in this show is different from those that I watched before (love O2O & the kings avatar), in this show there is no character graphics in the game only coding. If you like those character graphics then this is not one of those shows!
I loved all the supporting characters, kk boys, wubai, Xiaomi, yaya, solo..... there is no bad guy in this show and that makes it so heartwarming!
The kk headquarters is so cool!! It has this like container concept going on! While watching this show I really wanna have the chance to go in there and play!
Also, I read that the ML role was first offered to yang yang but he couldn’t take it up because he was already confirmed for the Kong’s avatar. I love yang yang but I really cannot imagine anyone else other than lixian to act as Han Shang Yan.
If you like cute light hearted love stories and heart warming brotherhood, this show is a must watch! P.S. the OSTs are one of the best for C dramas!
