Likely A Moment But Forever. And btw, I'm currently watching the A Moment But Forever donghua (anime) on iQIYI…
I watched the anime (all 14 episodes). And I love the opening song. The anime is very interesting, and I think the filmmakers were wise not to put the entire plot of the book into the anime (to leave surprises for the drama) and even so, the anime is very interesting. I understood that phrase "in a thought you are a god, in a thought, a demon."
This drama is pretty solid👌, but I can't call it one of the best since I've watched a ton of great ones. Still,…
1- The first episode. The meeting of the two. 2-The first scene with Mei Lin-powerful assassin. 3--The opening song (in every episode I had to listen to the song). 4-Jing He's appearance, attitude, words as a prince in the palace. (He was totally a fairy tale prince); 5-The immortal flower analogy (in which Jing He explains to Luo Mei) referring to Mei Lin. 6-The mystery in the painting left by Jing He's mother before she died (and discovered by Mei Lin), which took Jing He away from the path of madness. 7-I liked the sibling rivalry (I found it interesting to watch). Between Morung Jing He and Murong Xuan Li. 8-The scene in the lake of stars (Jing He and Mei Lin); 9-The scene of Jing He and Mei Lin (having hallucinations); 10-The scene of Mei Lin's fight in front of the palace. The spear she throws at the villain (and then she sinks into the lake and Jing He searches for her in the lake and saves her with a kiss at the bottom of the lake); 11-Mei Lin with her method of beating Jing He to sleep; 12-Every time Mei Lin and Jing He throw themselves off the cliff. 13-The place in the forest where Jing He and Mei Lin fight the assassins, they fight as a team; 14-Jing He as a general (every time he wears armor); 15-Luo Mei, the female general (in combat), she even loses an eye in it); 16-Jing He with her unconventional method to fend off Luo Mei's advances. 17-Jing He uses the whip in the cemetery to dig up Mei Lin and does not accept what seemed to have happened. 18-The Romeo and Juliet-type scene (the couple in bed), in the fateful moment that almost happened. 19-Those happy moments in the village, the couple living as peasants (this was in the middle of the drama); 20-Their wedding, the time they spent together. 21-Their meeting in the afterlife; 22-The courage of the soldiers who supported Jing He in all his general scenes; 23-The entire episode 1 (I have to say this again); 24-The first 10 episodes (especially those that kept us hooked), etc. PS: 25- The couple fighting for survival in the snow (and she giving Jing He strength) to survive; 26- That moment of humiliation of Jing He in front of his beloved, Mei Lin (and she being sensitive and helping him in that moment); 27- The time in the cabin after that, and him confessing to her his emotional pains (the trauma he suffered in the war);

This drama, despite its imperfections in the plot, has so many interesting things (that I have never seen in any drama), even if it were just to watch the first 15 episodes, it would already be worth it.
This drama seems interesting to me. It seems to me that the plot progresses, and we see the progression of the actors' emotions. And it reminds me of those pirate stories. And, it seems like it's about enemies who become lovers. The lead actor reminds me of Vannes Wu, who was in the drama The Princess Wei Young (2016). And the actor Vannes Wu is also a singer. His supporting character was memorable to me, and I would have loved to see him in other roles, but that didn't happen. But Liu Yu ning reminds me a lot of him. He looks like a bandit, perfect to play the role of this pirate in The Pearl Girl story. I've never watched any drama with him, but (because I think this drama will be interesting), I'm planning to watch it. I'm watching Snowy night, timeless love, (but the plot is so slow), and their love story doesn't progress (their expression and attitude are the same in 11 episodes), it's hard for me to keep watching. This shows that beauty doesn't save a drama, you need a plot that keeps you hooked.
