but i guess i understand why bl fans would say it's boring. i don't agree though. i guess most bl fans are spoiled…
I'm not in a rush at all...I would just like something faintly interesting to take place. There's really been no credible explanation for why they were so into finding the chick in the film. What in this do you find "beautiful?"
Whoever said this was a BL must be hunted down and shot. We have a closeted gay boy mooning over a clueless straight boy who is mooning over a beautiful girl who looks like some chick in an old movie...and tell me again why they were searching for the girl in the film...? Oh, cause the straight boy was obsessed, but now he's met another chick who looks exactly like her, the only difference being the location of what could easily be a fake mole.
I get a faintly creepy vibe from the new girl, but not enough to care much. That female teacher is somehow connected...is that her on the roof 25 years ago, and the new girl is her illegitimate daughter, born in secret after the teacher was raped by whoever was filming her on the roof? Hey...I bet that's it! Nah...that would be too interesting to be part of this snooze-fest.
I skipped through the second half of ep 3 and am confident I missed nothing. I think I can bear to continue watching if I use the forward-skip method, with the slight hope that somehow, the straight boy will turn gay or something...but yeah, overall this is pretty bad. I think I'd be bored even if I were a straight girl or guy watching this, cause it's boring anyway you look at it.
Don't you think it's a bit much to assume because LiLi wears shorts to go out, she's also going to do crack and…
Well, we've seen her cuddle and love him up in a silly way, but I saw nothing incestuous about it. I use to love on my kids in a goofy/teasing way like that when they were little. Not that she wouldn't be capable of incest, from what we've seen so far.
I think the point of those scenes to this point is that she treated him in extremely opposite ways: One day she was cuddly and loving, the next day she was wildly, inexplicably cruel, both verbally and physically, berating him for achieving good grades AND beating him with a stick. The poor kid would have been constantly in a state of stress; never knowing what her mood would be and thus, how he would be treated. He lived in fear.
Living under daily stress like that has severely negative and permanent impacts on the psyche, as well as on the physical brain itself. Studies have shown that adults who grew up under significant levels of stress have malformed synapses and other neurological brain features. In short, their physical brains do not work like that of an average adult who was raised in a healthy, supportive environment. That is likely why WQ is having flashbacks, headaches, and fainting spells.
I'm of the opinion one should wait until the end of a series to rate it, or MDL should make it possible to rate…
Isn't that wild, that MDLers actually read a synopsis and based on some element of which they disapprove, without seeing the actual show, down-rate it? Wow.
It's a lesser example of the censorious urge among a lot of MDL busy-bodies. It's not enough that they choose to not watch a particular show because of some plot element that offends them, they want to make sure you or I might skip it over, and/or punish the creators for daring to make such a story in the first place.
It’s understandable why WQ is soo protective of his family. His mom was a crackhead & was sleeping around, so…
Don't you think it's a bit much to assume because LiLi wears shorts to go out, she's also going to do crack and turn tricks before she goes home? Being wise and protective is one thing. Irrationally projecting your psycho mom's behavior onto your adorable little sister is another.
I read a week's worth of comments and only 2 out of hundreds were negative. So how is the rating only 7.9 when…
I'm of the opinion one should wait until the end of a series to rate it, or MDL should make it possible to rate individual episodes. How does one rate a series one has seen three out of 12 episodes of?
Now THIS is quality BL. Top-tier so far. Excellent acting/direction across the board. Great cinematography/lighting set design. It's nice to have Taiwan back in the winner's circle, after its last few stinkers.
Plus, I'm always on board for a good age-gap/incest drama! :)
Oh, sorry, I fell asleep while typing that.

BB is the definition of overrated.
I don't give s**t what can you're listening to or how loud it is. And if you're hearing voices from your screen while reading comments, see a shrink.
Beyond that, I'll write what I want when I want, as many times as I want.
Another thing I don't give a s**t about is what you think of that.
