ummm...why bother to give them new identities and new names if everyone they know is going to continue to associate with them, know where they live, know their new and old names, and everything else? Such a brainless setup leaves them exposed. NK will hunt them down in no time. When someone has to be set up with a new name, new life, etc., they need to be completely cut off from everyone. In this case, everyone they know would need to believe they were dead too, and they would be sent "abroad" to live. Koreans are sent "abroad" in dramas all the time, but in this case, with lives at stake, they move across town and hang out with everyone who knew them before. Lame.
I hate when a drama is pretty great for 9 1/2 of its 10 hours, then leaves me with a sour taste due to a super cheesy last half-hour and a wtf (sequel coming!!!) ending.
This is quite good, but there are a lot of things that could have been better. Lots of plot holes and implausibles, which means sloppy writing. The two sidekicks and the slapstick related to them were extended beyond their shelf life as often as they were funny. Things that are funny once are not funny the tenth time.
Action scenes are great, though. So Ji Sub is solid, as usual. The daughter is great.
I get that you're stupid and condescending, which is a dangerous combination, but my reply consists of two short and one long sentence. Your condescending lecture to the rest of us, on the other hand, consists of four sentences.
Yet, somehow, mine is an "essay" and yours is...also an essay? A brief essay? A tiny essay? Oh wait, or is it that replies must be no more than two stupid sentences, and that doesn't apply to OPs..?
Please educate us as to the "literary devices" or rules applicable to this situation, so that the rest of us can SPOT them.
The thread waits with bated breath, sister-man.
P.S. Oh gosh, I just realized that to you, this reply must register as the equivalent of a novella, containing as it does, multiple sentences, paragraph breaks, and all that literary shit. Sorry. Maybe tackle a couple of sentences per day this week, and reply over the weekend...?
WHAT?! Doesn't this mean these two shameless celebrities have been...f**king?!!!
Who do they think they are to have disgusting sexual relations, grinding their secret places together for the sole piggish pleasure of satisfying their animal lust?! They should be shamed, canceled, and forced to leave the country!
Don't they know they owe everlasting virginity to the Korean public that so generously made them rich and famous?!! Revolting.
Rather than simply noting and appreciating the "literary device," it felt compelled to let everyone know it had noticed, and to do so in an instructional tone, as if imparting a revelation no one else had perceived. lol
What other literary thingamabobs can you point out for us, teacher?

I am ALL for straight actors playing gay BL roles. My problem with it comes when straight actors refuse to actually play the fucking character as, you know, GAY. There are lots of KR series, especially, in which the MLs do those weird air kisses, where the lips remain a centimeter apart, or mannequin kisses or no kisses at all, even though they're the freaking gay lead, which ruins the entire show.
As you amusingly said, we don't insist that only real serial killers play fictional serial killers.
To verify, sth = something? I'm old and not always up-to-date on the latest Internet abbreviations and slang the kids use. :)

Did what you saw of OF S2 seem to be a lot tamer than S1? I saw Mix walk in at the end as a cliffhanger; that got me interested, but I'm sure S2 sucks. He's one of the few Thai BL actors I like, though his ski-slope nose job distracts me sometimes. I don't blame him for having one; his original nose was kind of big. But his surgeon gave him the cheap-looking ski-slope bridge, another dead giveaway.

I wish I had known to stick to compilations. I did a lot of skipping ahead. There were countless let's-stand-around-and-talk-about-things-we-already-talked-about scenes.
Episode 12: OK, all this mess is sexy and fascinating, but it's gotten to the point of stupid. Characters are wildly inconsistent, but not in a believable way that real people are inconsistent, in a way that stems from bad writing. Semi-new characters pop up and suddenly are shown to have a past with a main character, and are still "in love" with each other, even though five minutes earlier the same characters were hysterically sobbing their eternal love to each other and planning their wedding. Ridiculous. I'll finish this out, but it's become a joke. Also, the sex scenes are mostly not hot; they cut away much too soon.
A fittingly stupid ending to a stupid series. Watching the over-the-top, extremely messy drama can be fun, but the plot and script make zero sense, so I took to skipping ahead five and ten minutes here or there to get to scenes that looked uber-dramatic or spicy. The worst aspect for me is how the plot repeatedly rehabilitates Ray, who is, at heart, an alcoholic in denial, abusive, promiscuous weirdo who keeps falling "in love" and "out of love" with various people, but no one seems to mind. Enough time wasted on this thing.

Oh my...I like your dirty talk. :D
Over the seven years since I discovered BL I've become much more comfortable with extremely fem characters, IF they are played as authentic individuals, not stereotypes. There is way too much of that, especially in Thai shows. And to me, it seems Thai trans women and ladyboys act like drag queens, not women; again...stereotypes.
As far as lube, etc. goes, I agree. I have to interject that you can successful bang with spit only, if you use tons of it, but yes, usually they lick their palm and stick it in. lol There needs to be a lot more ass eating. :D
Also, I feel the bottoms play it as more painful than it is if you're doing it right. If it felt that awful, no one would do it, and we DO do it.
Final complaint is that there is way too much of what I call Rabbit Fucking. They stick it in and then go at it 100 mph. Have you ever seen rabbits mate? Look it up on youtube and you'll see what I mean.
hmmm...I've been banged in swimming pools and in the ocean with no water balloon effect. Do you mean that water gets kind of pumped up inside whoever's bottoming? Seems like that would only happen if you're sliding all the way out and then back in, otherwise, the dick-to-butt should form a hermetic seal impervious to water. :D

So have you watched S1? I am about to watch ep 11. Mark has become my favorite character. The actor playing him is giving the best performance in the show, too. I'm now a fan. Every emotion he plays feels authentic.
The vibe I'm getting in comments is that S2 is much less messy than S1, which means I wouldn't like it so I won't bother.
Episode 10: For god's sake, he's not nude in the photos, and he looks great in them. Wake up, bitch. Your brother's a liar. Top has become a cutie. His love for Mew has changed him from soulless player to lovesick puppy. NickDan are cute/hot together. Dan seems like a catch. I wonder what horrible things we'll discover about him. Wow! Boeing's bod! Wow! Boeing in the shower! Mark is the best actor in this cast. The dock scene with Ton. Bye, bye, Dan. :(
Oh my gosh...Khaotung in the rehab scene with Sand...wow. That's the kind of ugly sob that happens in rehab IRL. Bravo.
Such a brainless setup leaves them exposed.

Top needs to back tf off.
My god, the never-ending dysfunction...is a joy to behold. :P
Hoping for a three-way in the pool next episode.
