This drama is totally underrated, it has a great story and performances. The plot is really entertaining and this being set in the rakugo world makes it more interesting to watch. Okada Masaki really surprised me here with his acting as I have never seen him doing this kind of serious roles. It's totally worth the watch.
As the first season this one kept me in the edge of my seat and I keto wanting to see the next episode as soon as I finished watching one. Though I'm not gonna lie, season 1 and that final plot twist made it a masterpiece and this season was not on that level but I was very interesting and compeling to watch. Great chemistry of the ML and FL though I wished they had more scenes together, crossing fingers for a season 3 which I will definitely watch.

I would have loved this drama if they leave the romance aside I mean we already had a romance going on the past line so I think this could have worked just with that
Both leads gave a great performance but the romance was lacking for me. It seemed that since the beginning the ML was in love with her. There was a big lack of development in the romance are and I couldn't get invested on it.
Episode 30 seemed really weird to me as compared to the rest of the show. Ha Jin has never cared about public…
Totally agree with your opinion, this drama would have been perfect if it wasn't for the last 4 episodes. I was worried when the issue of her remembering her BF started and she wanted to break up with him but I was happy that at the end that didn't last that much. So when they created that second issue I rolled my eyes due to their lame and cliche decision, because as you said it was out of character.
It would have been a solid 9 if it weren't for the last 2 episodes (or 4 episodes in the 30 min format) :/ Anyway I do think that this drama is so underrated, the OTP has great chemistry and the story wss refreshing for me. I had only watched the ML in The Guest and he was great here, this is a totally new character and I almost didn't recognize him. Honestly I which this drama received more love because it does deserve it.
Such a nice paced drama! I didn't felt this dragging at all which is something pretty common lately. The romance was displayed beautifuly and both timelines were as important and meaningful. I'm left quite satisfied with this drama and highly recommend it if you want to watch a more mature romance but at the same time cute.
I really loved this drama at the beginning but it lost its charm as it moved on. And there were several things…
They never explained what happened with Eun Seob and his uncle, or did I miss that part? When did he decide if he wanted to live with his uncle or not? Were we supposed to deduce that with his inner monologue when coming back to his home and seeing his mom and sister?? I think we really needed a proper conversation between him and his uncle. What does Hae Won thoughts were on his father? Did she knew about the domestic violence that was going on in her house? Didn't she pity her mom for what was going on?Why did Hae Won's mom didn't accepted her letters and rejected her visits when being in jail??Why did Hae Won's aunt made the decision to leave for good and where was she going to?? Was He Won going to stay for good with Eun Seob or was she going to have another "fling" with him while being there? I'm frustrated by all this un answered questions but I also feel frustrated by how Eun Seob was treated at the end by Hae Won and how he was treated by his biological mom. I think they took advantage of his feelings and warmth. I can't believe how Hae Won just say "I hope everything goes well with your bookstore" that break up was so cold and one sided. And this is very cruel for me if you take into consideration she found out he was in love with her all this time. For him this was never a "fling" it was him finally fulfilling the love of his life. At first he didn't wanted to admit his love to her because he knew she was leaving soon and he didn't wanted to lose her. But she pressure him hard and got what she wanted and at the end did what she wanted with the relation. And Eun Seob's mom left him when he was little and only when she was about to die she looked for him again only to let him scarred about her death.
I really loved this drama at the beginning but it lost its charm as it moved on. And there were several things that were not answered at the end :(Also I have read many comments saying this drama is slow, but I don't think this is slow. For me Chocolate is what I define as a slow drama. But if you don't like dramas where there are lots of subtle things and hidden dialogues and not direct closures this might not be the drama for you.

I understand all that you're saying and that is why I said thay it would have made more sense to start killing (the people related to Ah young's rape and suicide, just clarified it up there) after her mom's death since that it would have been undestandable that the event push her over the edge.
This dramas was so confusing about what it wanted to be, sometimes it looked like Circle other like The Guest…
They kept introducing so many new characters for the red herrings that at the end when we find out the real villian it took me a while to recognize who she was. I first tought she was Dong Baek's doctor and after 10 min I recognized her as the politician's secretary. Also I suspected the villian to be a female since the SWAT episode but I didn't understand why they were focusing on a male suspect (when they went to the firefighters station), where did they get that deduction?? Also since they kept involving Dong Baek with the villian and mentioning his past my theory was that the villian was his twin brother, so at the end the reveal wasn't that schoking. Many things in this drama were written as it resulted convenient for the plot, like:The motivation for his sister to begin killing the poeple related to Ah Young's case wasn't that believable. It would have made more sense if she decided to start killing after her mother was killed. How they ended up saying that was Jin Jae Gyu was indeed a shaman and had powers just to justify how he knew about the killings and why he wasn't the killer. And so on...So it had potential but ended up being a wreck for me.
This dramas was so confusing about what it wanted to be, sometimes it looked like Circle other like The Guest and it kept changing genre as it was convenient for the plot. Also there were SO many red herrings that at the end the reveal for the villian wasn't that shocking.
Un review muy completo, felicidades. A mi este drama no me quedo debiendo, esperaba mas de OCN. Pero la actuación de Jang Hyuk estuvo excelente como siempre.

I'm just gonna think that Ji Soo and Gyu Ri escaped together. This dramas was so well made that you end up rooting for the "bad guys" but then again I do think everyone had their share of responsibility.
I get the hype for this drama! It's very good!! Interesting, intriguing, fast-paced and very entertaining. I'm starting to think that kdramas should consider this short format since lately I feel 16 episode dramas tend to drag a bit. I just wished they didn't left us with that ending that's why I rated a 9.5
