I agree, I hope the drama adaptation will add more romance to the balance.

TTEOTM has two "seasons"

the main characters and second leads are not stupid! that was actually something i really appreciated about it...the leads are smart. however the sister character is pretty stupid and you can pretty much skip her whole storyline
it's kind of low budget but decent if you like battle of wits enemies to lovers and then later on the leads work together towards their goals

He's not the worst ML but I think their pairing hasn't been presented in a way where I root for them. Her behavior is annoying to me too and I feel like even after all this time, she's still not ready to ask for an equal partnership or at least a more balanced one.
The beginning was pretty misleading about what their present day interaction would be like.

Yea I think that was the point...the story does agree with you that it was a wrong start, that's why it didn't work out and they had to start over

Heart protection is my favorite JLFX and I also like Seven Unfortunate Lifetimes. If you are looking for any others after you finish this list, I recommend Zhao Yao (the book for The Legends). The book is better than the drama. The main character's personality is sort of similar to the one in Heart Protection

I think a story is better when you can understand the motivations of the antagonists

2FL can afford better clothes but FL should still look decently put together. Styling has been so bad for a FL who regularly interviews industry leading finance professionals.
