in the novel, ML did not like FL for a much longer time. After he developed some feelings, he was nervous about taking her on a trip to the temple because he suspected that she was possessed and something might happen to her at the temple. It was a rare sweet moment of concern from him

If it follows the novel, she DOES leave him!!! It was my favorite part...she showed him she was independent, didn't need him, and could escape his control. He was desperate to find her.

yes the voices are dubbed. I think the maid servant was pretty whiny in the novel so that was an appropriate choice actually

The original story is that a modern woman transmigrated into that body but because of worries about censorship, the screenwriter did not explain it outright. I like that they seem to have kept the concept. Not sure where the twin sister comes in, not sure if that description was wrong or if that will come in later.
Also, ML is more unlikable in the novel to start. The faults that you complained about are things that FL didn't like too. One thing I did like in the novel is that FL did not like this man right away. There was a slow development for them. Childhood trauma is a drama invention, cliche.

No relation to either of those, it's adapted from a novel. She is one of my favorite FLs, smart and capable

Not disagreeing with your overall opinion, but I think FL being like a negative 2FL is intentional because she's supposed to be the evil stepsister and her sister is Cinderella

I'm a book fan too so I know what you mean, though I would have enjoyed a faithful adaptation. I'm still looking forward to it because I like both the leads and hope it is a successful project for them

I've seen comments online that it has been heavily rewritten. That's what it seems like from the trailer too, looks like a comedy. Probably best to go into it as if it were an original screenplay instead of an adaptation.

in the novel, he discovered her identity in a different way than the drama. he was suspicious because of her weird behavior so he was snooping in her things for evidence. she suddenly came back and he hid whatever he had in his hand into his sleeve

The book characters are pretty different too, they were not as loving as the drama versions.

Not too long before the novel ending, Yetan stabbed SDYQ in the heart with her poisoned weapon because she had to steal something from him to save her sister and didn't trust him to help her. She also didn't think he would sacrifice the world to save herself either. She was not totally off in her suspicion because novel SDYQ is still very duty bound.

I like how much character development the drama gave them and how much more loving they are

there is a scene in the novel where YQ accidentally stole her doudou undergarment, maybe it was a reference to that
