She's been looking better in everything but this drama. What are they thinking??? This character interviews industry leading finance professionals, she should look more put together. She doesn't need to be fashion forward but her clothes should fit and look professional.
The person and the character is not difficult to style... it's more like you have to be trying to fail this badly

I think it was more like a tragedy but has some open ending for a potential turn around. I don't think Jirong's character has nothing to bring to the table. She is a hard working loyal good person but she is not emotionally ready for marriage. I think maybe the writing and the cast for Jirong make it hard to sympathize with her.

I think they needed a stronger actor to make this difficult character more sympathetic. She didn't have chemistry with her "husband" so it was hard to see why they should stay together. I agree that she had that one expression most of the drama and that's one of the weakest things about the drama.

I think it's just that censorship is vague and sometimes inconsistent. Sometimes the censorship comes from production teams themselves pre-emptively. So we see some dramas who go for the "it was a story" but we also have some that are exceptions and don't make excuses. Maybe it is safer when it is modern times, but they even had time travel for Dreaming Back to the Qing Dynasty. So who knows!!

I finished and enjoyed this drama...people who were worried about the ending...

In one timeline He Zheng Yu assaulted that business man Gao who had sexually assaulted his female employee because Gao was threatening his parents. Chen Jia Lan stopped HZY from assaulting Gao after they learned about this outcome.
The HZY we knew from 2022 was from a version of 2022 that no longer existed anyway. It is that paradox for time travel stories. Does he still need to travel from April 2022 to keep this chain of events going? or have they changed it so much that there is no need? I hope there is no need to loop back or else she will lose him after April 2022.
I agree that Sun De Feng got off easy but it is hinted that he lost his mind so maybe he did not get off as easy as we think. HZY said that he would not let him off.
I was also not a fan of Jirong. I think the drama did not give us enough to work with to sympathize with her and spent more time with her being frustrating. She was an orphan who grew up with her brother and HZY and possibly did not have anyone to teach her about maintaining a marriage. Thinking about her situation, it is pretty sad that she wanted a family so badly but couldn't make it work.

He's finally back with main roles in good dramas! I recommend both Strange Tales and Love in Time

I think it is fun to compare. It is a fairly close remake but they did change some big things too. Some things I preferred in the original and some things in the new

I loved Li Guoyi in the original but I like the remake too so far. Just expect the male lead to be more subtle than the original but the humor is there and they made a few nice changes to the writing. I think it is worth a watch if you loved the original

After watching four episodes, the remake did improve the way the audience perceives her character. In the original, the male lead is trying to save a life and she was getting in the way. In the remake, it's just a messy divorce so her unwillingness to cooperate is not so frustrating. It is easier to understand her perspective

This kind of thing can be explained by her being a bad writer, like he's supposedly the worst villain ever but even in her story he doesn't kill anyone and he leaves money behind when he borrows things....so we can blame her for writing him too modern too lol
