You are not lying about his "Soulful Eyes". I first saw him in "At a Distance, Spring Is Green" and been hooked ever since! Also, I did not know he was a child actor, let alone a Kpop singer. I am forever a fan!
Sorry, but this started OK for me, but I wound up dropping it after the 10th episode. I was so confused by then (who was who, a three way love story, the FL disappears, which i have seen countless times in KDramas) that I did not think it was going to get any better. Everyone got really annoying after a while. Really surprised at the high rating.
Cool article. I watched "Princess D" years ago and I loved it. I too watched it for Takeru Sato. I also wonder if there is some sort of bias that causes low ratings. Most of the J-Dramas I are rated under 8 or 7.0 and alot are pretty good. I started watching J-Dramas before K/C Dramas and could not understand all the low ratings on here. The one drama I really wanted to see but the ratings were so bad that is skipped it was "Woo Ri the Virgin". The original was very good but the remake has a 6.4 rating!
Well I'll be skipping this. I said in another thread, Netflix should just grow a pair and release it without butchering it. It would probably do better with him in it.
I'm hoping Netflix grows a pair and just releases it. I personally like him as an actor. They already recasted "Hellbound 2" (I liked him in the first one). I'm not going to watch a butched version which will probably make no sense because of this.
I'm only 3 episodes in and I'm already annoyed and bored. It's like the female lead keeps doing the same thing over and over. These "fish out of water" stories are not always good.
Ok,, not popular on MDL doesn't mean they don't popular in Japan...
I absolutely agree. I actually started watching J-Dramas way before I got into K-Dramas (Hana Yori Dango was my first ever and I was hooked ever since). Though I'm happy to see that Ishihara Satomi is #1 (she is my fav), I am disappointed with the ranking of alot of these actresses. There has to be a better way to rank based on their work rather than their popularity. There are alot of seasoned actresses listed here. Yoshitaka Yuriko, Inoue Mao, Takei Emi even Horikita Maki (who retired a few years ago) should be ranked way higher then they are, and I think Nana Komatu is only as high as she is because of who she is married to (my opinion). Also, for some reason, most J-dramas are also ranked pretty low on MDL. That may also be the reason this list is how it is.
