I never saw his appeal. Only watched My Love from the Star. Tried the other sageuk one and was scratching my head wondering what's the rave about him. His acting is nothing to shout about.

It didn't help that the whole setup to their romance is so unnatural. There was a scene where he massaged her when she was in an off-shoulder piece and I really cringed. But if you can get past that, it will get better. I didn't like the early episodes that much. But by epi 10, it was much better.

I haven't come to that episode but I love eating rice in soup! The Koreans do that a lot too!

It helps that I'm watching this on Netflix so they're also not as up-to-date on the episodes.

I wouldn't call it a complain. He basically insulted her with a strong pejorative and that sounded totally off based on his character painted so far. If the word he used was translated as "heartless", then I see why nobody is bothered.

Was that how they translated it in English? Gosh, not even close to what he actually said in Mandarin.

You're right. I'm good with him for being snarky at times but the word he used was a bit much for me to digest. And to top it off, he acted drunk to say it.

Equivalent of trash, scumbag, cheater, two-timer, or even slut or whore. I don't know how the word was translated but in Chinese, it sounds really bad. I feel that it's very inconsistent for him to use that word on her.

This one is very fluffy in the first 10 episodes but gets better. First Frost definitely has more depth and logic and the acting of the FL is also much better.

The fact that ML acted drunk and used a pejorative word on the FL is disturbing. Maybe he wanted to teach her a lesson but it just doesn't sit well with me. The writer of this show or is it the book is really weird to insert something like that for a green flag.

Totally agree. The earlier part of this drama was not well set up. It looks like a commercial and you can't understand why he's so into her just cos of how she looks or how she folds the papers? I rolled my eyes a lot while watching the earlier episodes cos the story was too shallow. It only got better around ep 10.

I've watched a fair share of fluffy C-dramas but this one, takes the cake! The drama is trying very hard to be fluffy without a solid storyline. The backstory of how they fell in love all feels so unreal. Almost like watching a commercial. No depth at all. If not for the ML, I would drop this show.
