Wow! I did not know that ...thanks! Too bad! I guess that if there's going to be a season 2 at all, it may be with an all new cast...maybe...who knows!

You know, I wouldn't be surprised that a season 2 isn't in the works highlighting Tin /Can. I don't believe they (nor their managers) were involved in the "stuff" with Saint and Perth's managers. The director and writers could do a shortened season (4 or 5 episodes) and provide some closure to that relationship for the fans. Ae and Pete actually had closure (with the exception of Ae's family being informed of his relationship with Pete). I just hope they don't decide to do a season 2, but recast the main characters....

I guess everyone might view that episode differently. At first, I thought it was rape. Then read Pedro Guida's post and went back to view it again, The second time, I was watching far more intensely than I did the first time. Now, I stand by my original post. And, although it does appear, as you stated, Knock didn't resist. It appeared to me that Korn initiated the action, knowing full well they were both drunk, and it appeared as though HE knew what he was doing,. And by Knock's reaction in the morning, Knock apparently did NOT want to or intend to have sex with Korn. It always scares me when people purposely have (or try to have) sex with other people when they're drunk. I think that is seriously crossing the line. But, unfortunately, it happens quite a lot in real life, and not just in BL dramas.....

Good point about the demographics of the writers! I really didn't think about like that....You're probably right. But, as I stated in my last post, I'm sure the writers and the director are likely going to have Knock do something equally as "stupid" and "wrong" as Korn did , so they can be back on "even " ground....and how more contrived can you get than that...That's the way it appears in next week's preview (with Knock in bed with Pete)...again, give me a break...

I can probably guess how this story plays out. If the previews from next week are any indication, Knock appears to be going down the same path that Korn went, possibly sleeping with Pete (revenge sex). Then Korn will find out and be angry with him. This will go on for the next few episodes and eventually they'll get back together in the end, as if all is forgiven. It will totally make the fans go wild. And, if the rest of the story does play out something like this, then it will prove how contrived these plots really are......but, it'll be entertaining...lol

I just went back and watched ep. 1 of TWM. I agree with you that they were both drunk. However, I'm still not so sure that both wanted to have sex. In that scene, Korn initiated the encounter and apparently knew that he was intending on doing (as supported by his response to Korn in the morning). But, it's not clear, at least to me, that Knock was a "willing" participant or even knew what was happening to him. Being drunk can do that, which is the reason it's never cool to have sex or even try to have sex with someone who is in that state. I realize that it's probably done all the time in dramas. But, it still sends that wrong message...

I think it's "overrated". Pedro Guida's points regarding contrived plots, badly written dialog, and inconsistent characterizations are right on point. Some directors and writers (certainly not all) seem to make the mistake that a "drama" can't have some resemblance of realism, with "real characters" portryaing "realistic" life situations and it still be enjoyable drama. And, BTW, "real life" can be as "dramatic" as it gets.....

Oh, I had forgotten that. Thanks! BTW, I've not read any of the books. So, if P.'New was simply following the book, then I'll have to rethink my comment about he and the writers.

Maybe once all the animosity between the managers of Perth and Saint calms down, the director may consider doing a season 2. I'm sure that the director, sponsors, and production crew realized they had a "winner" on their hands with this series....And, personally, I'd like for them to at least do enough episodes to resolve some of the stories left unfinished, like Tin/Can' story, not to mention the awful thing Kengkla did to No....please don't let that kind of image remain attached to an otherwise good BL series. But, like the others, it just one person's opinion.

You may be right about Korn and Knock. I'll have to go back and look at that episode again, I do recall that Knock did not like what occurred, though. I agree about your comment on the blackmail. I agree the writers went way off base with that, even if they were attempting to show that Kengkla was a manipulative little piece of c**p as was setup by his character.

But, I still hope the writers and the director do at least a special to complete the Tin/Can story, and not just leave everything hanging.

I agree with Lory. The "rape" thing was NOT okay! But, unfortunately, that seems to occur often in BL series (it was this way with Korn & Knock in TWM, and with both sets of main characters in MIR, Fuse and Tee, as well as, Book and Frame). Having sex with someone who is drunk (OR WHO SAYS NO) is not cool. It's a sexual assault, "rape". And this idea that you fall in love with your rapist , after they have sexually assaulted you, is just plain wrong. I understand that there's the fan-service to consider. BUT, GIVE ME A BREAK! Is this really the way we want to portray relationships between young people (whether they be BL or straight)? It's not healthy, it's not romantic, it's not cool, and in the West, especially in the United States, it's not legal....

Yeah, they need a season 2. But, if they don't or can't maybe they could do a "special" episode of the completion of the Tin/Can love journey. Their story needs finishing......

I just wish the writers had allowed Tin and Can to at least have a chance for future happiness. Now, I guess we'll never know......ahhhhhh

Good point! But, I guess it goes back to the "fan culture" thing. Many of the BL shows, including TNC, the "fans" are tween-agers/adolescents to teenagers/young adults (and probably mostly girls), and are likely still in that fantasy mindset about relationships.
