I'm not sure about any of you. But, my favorite parts of this series are the storyline between Mark, Ou Wen and Joanna, and Little Piggy's Love Diary. LMBO!!
The pregnant girl (I forget her name) is really unlikeable. Such a nasty disposition.
I kind of like Joanna. When she first appeared in the series, she was shown to be stuck-up, flirty, a bit trampy, a gold-digger and a quasi-free spirit. However, as the series went along, we discover that Joanna is actually quite loyal, caring, and understanding of those around her (i.e., coming to Fei's rescue, as well as being a friend to Ou Wen). We didn't get to see that side of her in the beginning. But, this is just my opinion. LOL
It's not bad. I actually like it a lot. I just don't understand why the director makes them speak in slow motion…
Agreed. I also like the series. However, I'm not sure the director is utilizing those "pauses" for dramatic effect. But, it's getting a little old now, especially when we are only at ep. 5.
Most of the scenes have been posted in "parts" on youtube. Some have engsub, other have not. I was fortunate to find most of scenes on different posts.
Wow! The Mark/Ou Wen scenes stole the show! Mark's, Ou Wen's, and even Joanna's characters were all great in this ep. We got to see real emotion, real feeling, and real acting. Mark's character really highlighted the ep. ! I can't wait to see how it all ends. P.S. The storyline with mains is finally getting better and not dragging.
Ok. Ep. 13 was better. It showed a little more of what got during the first eps. Now, I'm not sure about the pregnancy plot thrown in there. But, at least I'm intrigued about where it will lead. Mains are still dragging, though.
I'm not sure I totally agree with some of the posters about Bohn/Duen vs Ram/King and which was the best couple. Yes, Bohn and Duen's "relationship" started out rocky, silly, and at times just stupid. But, in actuality, sometimes first love is all of those things. IMO, all that was going on with Bohn/Duen is part of what Ram/King so "special." While Bohn/Duen was having all of the tropish, silly, overplayed behavior in their pairing, Ram/King got to be the opposite, they got to be quasi-romantic, cute, lovey-dovey, etc. Now, if they were the mains instead of Bohn/Duen, Ram/King's relationship would most likely be much different.
I'm sorry. But, every since the show took its covid break, the new episodes are just a mess, IMO. I actually liked this show in the beginning. I thought it had heart, a mixture of different couples (a little something for everyone), and a fairly decent beginning storyline (divorced woman gets her life back together and reunites with the young boy she loved as a younger brother and called him "little piggy", not knowing that little piggy had a crush on his "big sis."). The series had promise, I thought, especially with the side couples. Then came the hiatus. And after that, apparently, the number of eps has been shortened, there have been various plot twists (which were unnecessary), and it appears the show is "dragging." I also feel that we're being given "pieces" of the side couple storylines just to keep us returning to the next episode. That does insult our intelligence as audience members. I will continue to watch because I'm interested in how all the storylines end. But, I am disappointed in the show.
I'm not sure. But, it seems that the Mark & Ou Wen storyline is becoming far more interesting and entertaining (even as a side couple) than the mains. And for this reason, I get the feeling that the producers/writers/director are purposely dragging out Mark & Ou Wen's relationship by giving us "tidbits" to keep the audience returning for the next episode... Hmmm???
Okay. There are a great many technical, writing, dialogue, directing and artistic issues with this series. However, what is most frustrating to me is that this the 2nd series, in which the mains have been placed together, BUT, did not end up together. Now, there's going to be a 3rd installment of this series??? Will, the mains get together then? Who knows!!!
