Title A Tale of Thousand Stars Spoiler
This was a great ep! I know a lot of posters had comments as to whether Tian should've been more clear about Torfun's demise. But, it's common in many cultures (especially some Asiatic cultures) to take "responsibility" for another's tragedy, irregardless of the "level" of involvement. Tian probably felt responsible for her death by continuing on with the race, even though he wasn't driving the car, which many of us suspected anyway. But, all of this was done, IMO, to heighten the dramatic affect of the series, and I believed it worked. Tian's "confession" to the villagers (and their shunning of him) was a straight-up tear jerker! There probably wasn't a dry eye in the house. LoL

I largely agree except for the Doc. I was in the nursing profession for long time and that was a major violation…
I agree and understand where both of you are coming from. However, lest we forget that medical practices in the Asiatic cultures may be a little bit different that in the western cultures. I was stationed in South Korea, when I was in the US Army. I had an opportunity to see the healthcare practice of that culture, and I can tell you, it's different.

I have to admit. Poor choice of words by Tian when he said that he was responsible for Torfun's dead. I understand…
I believe it was written that way to increase the dramatic effect of the show. And, IMO, it worked!

What are the scene predictions for the upcoming episode 8??
I'm not sure it will too much. There's still (3) eps to go. A lot can happen in (3) eps! But, we're near the end folks! LMBO!

It this were to play out, it would be a major mistake for the writers to make. That would just blow up the narrative…
I believe I read some translation that it was the guy that Tian was racing was the actual person that hit Torfun. But, he is still culpable. But, how to explain the timeline between when Torfun was hit and how Tian got the hospital is still in question.

I know a lot of people feel bad for Tian, and I get that since we mostly observed him as his "new self" that is…
Interesting theory! But, as I remember it (please correct me if I got it wrong), Tian was in the hospital at the time Torfun was hit. He was taken there from playing badminton with Tul, unless they rewrote that scene. If that scene was correct, Tian couldn't have been in two places at once???

Again, true. Still can't argue with you there. But, remember, unfortunately the rape-sex trope sells in BL. It's like you said, "it's drama."

I see your point also. And, I think the writers/director probably planned it that way -- to keep interest in the story. It worked!

OK. I can see your point. But, as I stated before, does this now mean that when a person says "no" they don't really mean "no"????

Honestly that whole sexual assault, borderline rapey aspect of the sofa scene could have been completely skipped…
Thank you! My sentiments exactly. That scene could've have been just as sexy, hot, and intense, if the writers hadn't taken the easy way out. However, if it was a bait and switch. Bravo!

I hear what you say. I know that there are cultural issues here. But, so does that now mean "no" doesn't really mean "no"???? I'm just saying....

That scene could've been tweaked to have the same emotional affect without the drunk rape trope. Lazy writing IMO. I hope I'm wrong and nothing liked that really happened.

I loved the scene too. But, I still can't get past that it used the same old drunk sex rape trope and tried to justify the scene by Shu Yi eventually submitting. Even if Shu Yi wanted to, he told Gao Shi De to "stop." I'm sorry, but that is the definition of rape.
