There is no female lead here, only two male leads. But if you're looking for some powerful badass, then this is the drama for you. Both male leads are very powerful anti-heroes, definitely not the usual standard heroes.

It is based on BL novel, the screenwriter is a big fan of the novel, the actors, director and all the crew know that this is based on BL story. But everyone is free to interpret :)

It's a well-made drama with nice ending, even though there is still much left unknown about Amamiya's background and so much possibility for sequel. I think this drama is quite successful in terms of viewership and popularity. Machida is very lucky to have his first lead drama right after Cherry Magic while the heat is still ongoing.

I agree, Wuji is one of the best OST imo, I still get goosebumps just hearing the intro. WOH's ED and OP are beautiful too, but still rather inferior compared to TU's OST.

One of the users who gave low score was one of the firsts to write review pretty early on and it was clear that he/she is either a hater or homophobic. He/she purposedly wrote a review on a BL-based drama while saying that BL is not their taste, wth?
As @PeachBlossomGoddess said, those kind of reviews will not affect my opinion, only my own experience counts. I think that also applies to the other viewers who enjoy this show.

I wonder why Youku translated "Yifu" as "father" while it should be "adopted/foster father"? It has totally different meaning...

Thanks for the nice article! It's my current favorite drama at the moment. Both male leads are terrific and have amazing chemistry both on and off-screen. I have watched up to ep 17 and so far the story is very engaging and no unnecessary filler (which I can't stand the most) which I really enjoy. It's like back to the golden era of TVB's wuxia drama :)
Great acting also from all the supporting actors, no awkward or stiff acting whatsoever. Oh, and did I mention how gorgeous Gung Jun is in this show? *heart eyes*

And the actor playing Long Xiao! He's so creepy he's like the Chinese version of Chucky lol. That's how good he is..

Yeah, I just saw today Ep 25 is up already. Well, I'm quite content already, compared to 3 eps per week only >_<

Different people has different preferences, there is nothing wrong with it. Personally, I prefer BLs with less skinship and diverse themes so I prefer Japanese/Chinese, as compared to Thai/Taiwanese ones. If you have time, I'd recommend you read the comment thread just a little bit below. People shared their experiences on what made them attached to this show, maybe you could find some insight on why this drama is special to many people.
