I’m not qualified to answer because I love this character too much, so I can’t be objective. But anyway, yes, that’s pretty much what drives him to do the things he does, which is endlessly frustrating, considering he’s the author’s favorite character, the most complex and well developed, not too mention the one who stays in our hearts and minds for a longer period of time.
