I'm not on any shipper camp but after the red clothes scene, I am certain the production deliberately doing this…
They were happy with how Jing was using money to fix his problems? While calling XL the transactional one? Sounds about right.
They refuse to even thank Xiang Liu for helping their beloved YaoJing remain alive at the end. Xiang Liu's only fault was to have spent his precious lives looking out for people who should have dealt with their own problems by themselves. Saving those fools left and right just to be called abusive.

I’m not even truly a YaoLiu fan but the way those Jingers deliberately try to misconstrue the whole thing is getting on my nerves.
I guess a whole swath of people are wrong, including TH, and Jingers with their “Friendship Bugs’” and “true love” notions are the ones who have deep knowledge of all this. What a clown world indeed.
I see some individuals (well, only one) feeling mortified that people have multiple interpretations of the novel (considering Tong Hua made use of writing techniques showing that this is a novel where many things are implicit) and started accusing them of disrespecting Xiao Yao’s character or projecting their feelings onto her.
I’m not sure if it’s just a misunderstanding of the intents of the novel or simply a good ol’ trolling but the fact that one person can love two people romantically seems to be something that have some (again, one) folks clutching at their pearls.
Calm down, it’s not that serious. It’s not going to ruin your “happy ending” the simple acknowledgment that XY loved Xiang Liu as well. Even the production team has acknowledged that in many ways (cinematography, costume design, soundtrack, camera work) and put in the drama despite all the cuts and edits. So why the indignation? Be for real.
People can write and believe what they want, you no need say other people what to do
The only delusional disrespectful person here is you who refuses to acknowledge what Tong Hua wrote and what the drama has depicted. I knew Jingers were blind but you take it to the extreme. Congratulations!
Some interesting data regarding our favorite demon 👇🏻
“ Despite his cameo role, there's ample evidence that Tan Jianci and his character Xiang Liu are highly adored and have significantly contributed to the drama's popularity. Today Datawin officially announced and congratulated Xiang Liu for being the most beloved character this year, becoming the "Bai Yue Guang" (white moonlight, or unattainable ideal) for many viewers. Additionally, Datawin provided evidence demonstrating the immense popularity generated for the drama Lost You Forever S2 by Tan Jianci's portrayal of Xiang Liu.”
Unlike some platforms where the purchase of bots and fake engagement can inflate numbers that do not reflect the reality, Datawin has compiled organic results that show how his character has won over so many fans. It’s a pity they don’t also compute the data from other countries. I would have liked to see my country being part of the stats 🫡❄️
Viki is too funny. I don't know who's behind the translations, system settings, or whatever, but I got the following notification just now on my phone. It's in Portuguese:
"Perdi Você para Sempre - Uma princesa se vê dividida entre as investidas do novo rei a quem ela ajudou e o demônio por quem é apaixonada."
The English translation is "Lost You Forever - A princess sees herself torn between the advances of the new King, whom she has helped, and the demon for whom she has fallen in love".
So...Who's gonna tell them?
Or better yet, do they know something we don't? Are we being trolled? Hope never dies?
Same thing with the synopsis they have there. But I swear I don't work for Viki. Cross my heart and kiss my elbow. This ain't my doing. Nope. No. 😹😌
Also, does this impact your purple fandom in any way? Why should it matter to you?
Edit: I have some more statistics for you, should you wish to see them.

Can’t believe you wrote a whole essay misinterpreting every single thing. Good try, though.
See if it works for you please:
