Decent drama with less torture.

The overall storyline is relatively smooth and well-rounded. The acting of the ML and FL, plus the supporting cast, is quite good; I finally got to watch Bai Fang Wen drama without being annoyed and he is not using his finger to kiss. (most of his earliest drama are being dropped for my watchlist). I am not fond of Yu Yin acting but she is slowly make a progression in this drama and its better than her in Good Girl. This version is not torturous compared to Cheng Cheng-Huang Yunyung.

Bai Fang Wen's portrayal of ML in this drama is so captivating; he's the kind of actor who deserves applause even for his affected mannerisms.

I don't like the styling in this drama Yu Yin looks old on her dress and her make up didn't elevated her beauty.

Worth to watch.

Reverse Drama that you want to root for Male Lead

I watch this because of Chai Hui Xin and I have watch few of Wen Yuan minidrama and i am not against nor enjoy it. Zhu Zhe Ren is my favorite SML for his acting. For romantic scene, it was few scene and i feel they trimmed the intimate part in this drama.

Plot is about FL was abandoned by her family for many years. To save her ill mother, she agreed to her father's request and held a business marriage with the second young master of the Tan family. However, on the wedding day, her fiancé suddenly died in an accident, forcing their marriage to be abruptly ended before it even began. She seeks help from ML who was her fiancé elder brother.

Personally i don't like FL attitude in this drama she is the one who needs help but she is the one who was ingrateful. ML was too lenient and stupid. He didn't tell anything and just silent when he knows the actual truth. SML was the smartest among the leads even he got his deserve ending but it feels unjustified for FL.

Hope they can collaborate with elevated plot, it was waste for Chai Hui Xin, Wen Yu, and Zhu Zhe Ren acting skill.

Only for fans.

Food drama with Platonic CP

Okay this Chai Hui Xin drama is quite hard to search and found one with proper subtitle. Actually I am not familiar with Huang Shuai Shuai works so this is my first time reviewing his work, i think he is little stiff on few scene especially when he command something to his eunuch.

Plot is about Modern FL transmigrated into FL who was emperor least favorite concubine and living in secluded area of palace. She wants to eat and there is nothing so she went to Kitchen and cooks fried rice. The smell makes ML and his guard want go to kitchen and eat FL food. FL knows ML was emperor so she runs away.

FL character is straightforward, outspoken, and has a hilariously chattering personality. Even the supporting villains in this drama don't follow overly melodramatic or far-fetched paths. I really liked the eunuch, he is catalyst of leads relationship.

Actually plot is quite interesting and i quite like it even there is almost no romance (I think it was unnecessary since ML didn't know FL even she is he is concubine and i enjoy their platonic relationship) I prefer the later episodes in terms of costumes and props, but the early and middle parts of the plot are more engaging.

The thing's that i don't like in this drama is abrupt ending and it feels like woah so sudden what are you doing, director?

It feels like watching Black Swan

I watch this because I've been binge ofHuang Yunyun drama and expect her sweet drama with Huang Bo and i was completely wrong. This is dark suspense drama. Huang Bo is really nailed as psychopath Male Lead and yeah he was scary in here. Huang Yunyun really nailed as FL who want to free herself from ML grip with little touch of her delicate dance. The duration for this drama are sufficient. My little hear cannot take it the intense feeling when ML wants to get FL again.

This drama has a really novel theme and giving Black Swan vibe. Everyone except for SML character is very intelligent. The girls helping girls is really touching! Love is not confinement, not jealousy, not a cage. Loving her is not letting her slowly dim, loving her is giving her freedom and letting her pursue her dreams! The plot is very tight! The actors, screenwriter, director, costumes and props are all great! Good heavens, the whole cast is good-looking! The final dance in the cage is really meaningful and mesmerizing.

Recommended to watch for Suspense enjoyer.

Yunmiao with less villain

I watch this since i like Wen Moyan and wonder what kind of this drama she shoots.

The synopsis is somewhat looks like Yunmiao, but every story and character is incredibly well-developed. In Yunmiao, each villain would be dragged out for several episodes, but this is different the focused its about FL journey with her brothers.

I think this is better than Yunmiao. It solves two problems at once, resolving the subplot and giving the FL valid explanation for having her brothers! This process of going from unpleasant to satisfying is very good! Another reason why this drama is so comfortable to watch is that the portrayal of villains is less than that of good people.

The stories are fresh, but inevitably there are some verbal sparring sessions, since the FL speaks less and the supporting characters speak more .While some stories aren't without their highlights, because they rely on metaphysics, there are no plot twists; everything is predictable and simply presented in a straightforward manner.

Worth to watch.

Start nicely with outrageous plot!

I watch this because of advertisement and the plot is quite new so i give a try since i know Peng Daidai. I don't know ML but finally i found out his name is Ge Ziyang.

The plot is about FL runs a supermarket, transporting modern food to ancient times. She falls in love with a general and has a son. However, unexpectedly, the general, once he gains power, begins an affair with a princess, the son abandons his mother, and ultimately, the female protagonist is executed. Then, the FL is reborn ten years in the past and decided to destroy her supermarket and cut ties with ML and their son.

FL leaves, ML, lacking supplies, suffers a defeat in battle and is demoted to a commoner. SFL also turns against him. Only then does the general realize the FL's goodness. With divine protection, the general and his son are given 30 days to travel to the modern era to beg for the female protagonist's forgiveness only found out FL found happiness with SML.

SFL also finds a way to travel through time, captures the FL, threatens her best friend to obtain advanced weaponry, and then travels back in time to become empress, but she throws the country into chaos. Finally, FL best friend transports SFL to the Jurassic era. ML saves her but doesn't die, and she doesn't forgive him. The end!

I don't know what the writer thinking about but personally i enjoy the chaos of this story. But Peng Daidai in terms of acting is kinda weak and no chemistry with SML. SFL acting quite like old-style. Ge Ziyang nailed as scumbag and i never forgot that snort in the end. Not forgetting the child actor acting is quite potential.

Recommended to watch if you like outrageous plot!

Only Watched because of Han Yutong-Zeng Hui CP

Since i always talk about Zeng Hui-Han Yutong chemistry let me tell about my review from their second drama without mentioning the chemistry.

Plot is about FL concealed her identity as a CEO and went on a blind date, hoping to find an obedient man ML is the current head of Chenglin Group. Because he didn't want to marry a gold-digger, he pretended to be a poor man to go on a blind date. The two hit it off and got married. Unexpectedly, their respective groups had many collaborations, and the two almost discovered each other's true identities many times.

Personally the child in here are only accessories since there is no mother instinct between FL (i don't accept working mom reason but the bonding between Han Yutong and the children are non exist it feels like stranger) and ML dont giving foster father vibe either (there is no bonding). Even they used for plot device but this is another my concern beside weak plot about ML backstory.

I feel this is one of weakest Zeng Hui- Han Yutong drama in term of plot.

Recommended to Han Yutong- Zeng Hui fans

Decent drama reflecting of social realities of woman

If you want to see romance in this drama, turn away from the this drama.

This drama touches slice of life of woman who dedicated her life to love over her blooming career as dancer to marry dance troupe leader. Growth and transformation, youth without regrets: After experiencing various setbacks and challenges, the characters gradually grow and transform into brand new person. This drama is not just an emotional drama, but also reflecting social realities. It touches on many social issues, such as family, friendship, and love, and every plot point is thought-provoking, as if telling stories from our own lives.

Both of leader acting are quite fine but Zhang Zilin crying didn't feel emotional enough it feels like you put eyedrop on your eyes.

Recommended to watch.

The duration was too long

I watch this because of Han Yutong and Zuo Ming acting is hit-and-miss but luckily his acting was decent in this drama. And Han Yutong needs to stop using her long nails manicure in ancient drama.

FL seems to have foreseen every step, and the plot is intricately interconnected. It's a logically sound and satisfying drama. If you prefer mindless, slapstick comedy, this might not be for you, as the FL rising from a low position, inevitably has to endure some hardship. It 's not a pure romance; ML is just a normal emperor with a harem, though he does show favoritism and affection due to the female lead's schemes. So it was natural there is no intimate scene and the chemistry between the leads didn't show too much.

The only plot hole is how the two of them could not recognize each other? They've seen each other's faces before, and there's no amnesia. They even fell in love after spending three months together. ML is blind and disfigured, yet he can remember the taste of the health-preserving soup but not the female lead's voice?

For me the time is to long, i watched this with 1.25x speed for saving my time. If they can trimmed the time, it would be better.

Still decent to watch and recommended if you have many times to spend.

Applause for bringing decent Sci-Fi story even there is more romance focused.

It was rare to see sci-fi story, with decent werewolf theme but it's essentially a sweet romance drama with a domineering CEO and a pregnant child, disguised as a sci-fi story. The ML is the head of a werewolf clan (a domineering CEO), and the FL is a human chef.
ML's werewolf look is both handsome and cute, and the child actors' performances are quite good, especially their crying scenes. The chemistry between Zhao Guanyu and Lin Zirong are quite fine to watch.

The whole drama was quite lighthearted, and the romance was very sweet. It would have been even better if the misunderstanding hadn't been cleared up at the beginning and the male lead had admitted to falling in love with her.

Recommended to watch.

Quite refreshing to see twins as ML but the plot *shake head*

I absolutely have to support Peng Yao's new drama! And the male lead is actually a pair of twins not the double lead of one actor. Quite refreshing.

Liu Chen Jin and Liu Chen Rui, who played the twins—one charmingly wicked, the other deeply affectionate—My face blindness are too severe in this drama. So I can based from their attitude and it quite works. The chemistry between Peng Yao and Liu Chenjin is sufficient.

Plot is quite believable since she cannot differentiate the twins (me too) even from their attitude and slowly she can distinguish the twins and it gradually becomes clear. After learning that she is pregnant, ML began to protects her.

The ending is bittersweet and well-deserved even though i feel it was too dramatic.

Personally think this is a work that I wouldn't watch repeatedly

Female Lead character make my blood rate rises.

I watched it for the main character, but it made me furious; the plot was awful. The plot after the female lead was forced to admit to plagiarism was like shit! The first half is only worth watching for the kissing scenes between ML and FL (yeah the sexual tension was high). The second half is forced and angsty. I hate the FL who doesn't talk back; she deserves to be beaten and locked up. ML risks everything to save her, but she messes up at the crucial moment.
ML is so coward and never being open and honest. The misunderstanding are solely because of leads incompetence.

The Plot Hole make me concern

I watch because of Ma Lejie is slowly leaving her damsel in distress character and want to see Li Baiyan in another character. Both actor's acting are quite decent and has sufficient chemistry.

Actually this is a sweet story, but because I felt there were quite a few plot holes i really concern. Although the entire drama showcases how the ML cares for and loves the FL who has lost her memory, his repeated questioning of her alleged infidelity always left me confused. There is no further explanation from FL past beside FL was falling into the water.

She reverts to her 18-year-old self, experiencing a personality shift that leads everyone around her, including her husband, to suspect infidelity. ML is always questioning FL based on incomplete evidence. His explanation is that he can't accept her falling in love with someone else, but he should at least investigate!

You might watch it for the actors, but otherwise, it's just so-so. At least they didn't include the kidnapping scene lol.

Decent drama with weak emotional chemistry from Leads.

I was finding Lu Lulu drama with Ma Shiyao and found it with the sub after a while.

A story of a stoic special forces soldier versus a doctor.

The adopted daughter is the antagonist, ruthless and manipulative. ML's nephew is a scumbag with an inexplicable self-confidence. Lu Lulu's portrayal of the female lead is as dashing as ever, while Ma Shi Yao's portrayal of the male lead appears younger than her. The core plot revolves around a sweet, mutual love story, but the emotional tension between the leads still weak. Plot is quite fast pace.

Those who enjoy misunderstandings resolved and reconciliations, and who can accept antagonists driving the plot and relatively mild romantic interactions between the leads, might find it worth watching.

Lu Lulu could be Princess of Republican Drama

I thought it was just a Republican-era version of Yu Yin Good Girl's but after watching it, I realized it's only similar in framework, the core is completely different!

The cinematography and atmosphere are beautiful. Lu Lulu perfectly embodies the character, and her makeup and styling are also extremely beautiful, she truly has the feel of a Republican-era heiress (Maybe she could consider to be Queen of Republican drama since she has Classic Aura).

FL's sixth sister is truly ironic. Despite being a victim of feudal ethics, she didn't try to resist, yet she became a perpetrator. Perhaps this was the fate of countless tragic people in that cannibalistic era.

The female lead, though struggling, stands tall and pure, clever and cunning, striving to absorb all available strength and knowledge to resist feudal oppression. The male lead is her only chance to break free from her cage.

It was nice to see Chen Si in not usual CEO role. ML is definitely love-struck; he has never questioned the female lead for a moment. The only time he lost his temper was when the female lead wanted to die together with him, and he cried and asked her if she had thought of him even for a second.

I wish they could tell ML Family backstory more since they look so warm compared to FL family and also FL after joining ML family is interesting to know.

Recommended to watch.
