Pros: Cute chemistry between leads No villains or crazy exes Supportive cast, like you know you have it good when even the manager of a superstar wants her to have a relationship! Lots of cuddling and a lead pair who behave like they’re in love even after they get together.
Cons: The gaaaamiiiiiiing scenes that never ended for the entire first half of the drama. The space stuff felt preachy at times; like ”don’t expect your spouse to be with you, learn to take care of yourself, the state/job/machinery is more important than your sorry ass” I wasn’t too fond of ML’s acting (sorry)
Ugh, can’t with the unapologetic infidelity. Two of the three female leads are in affairs with taken men (one married, the other with a live-in girlfriend) but focus so much on their own happiness while ignoring the morality of it. It was all very infuriating. The reason they regretted their actions is because they themselves felt invalued or something, not because the cheating is hurting other people? The married guy comes to say sorry to his girlfriend when his wife just had a critical c-section delivering their second child? And is portrayed as cute?? It’s honest of him to admit to finding his wife’s postpartum depression troublesome? Wtf dude? Who wrote this?
Positives: Sakaken is insanely cute and Yuriko is very good. They had great chemistry in their limited space.
The crazy, oldest sister-in-law was the only saving grace of this drama for me. She was hilariously entertaining!
It felt like they aimed high but fell short with this drama. Stuff happened, things were introduced with a big bang but nothing came of it, etc. Like, the grandma was inteoduced with a scary feeling and talked all high and mighty, then nothing. The eldest son sat in a wheelchair, then nothing. And don’t get me started on the amnesia! What was even the point?
The main pairing was right up my alley. Her concerns about relationships, his general indifference, their helping each other come out of their respective shells, their clashes; all of it! Also, Playboy Male Lead leaving that lifestyle for the FL and choosing her as his only one is one of my fave tropes haha!
The drama was binge worthy, especially in the first half. The second half got somewhat lost in the stories of the momster, and the restaurant and the chef but still interesting. I don’t like infidelity stories, so the other two pairings kind of delving into it made me uncomfortable.
The drama had similar vibes to Kikazaru Koi but I never connected with that one the way I did with this. The characters in this, their growth and their choices made more sense to me.
Hmm.. not really. She’s had this secret crush on another guy, that she hasn’t even admitted is a crush for years, so she’s dense in that field. In the main pairing they grow interested pretty simultanously, although in different ways. But the ML is definitely the more pro-active one.
