The plot seems interesting but I can’t imagine this being 77 hours long with this kind of plot, it has to drag a lot, have a lot (way too many) supporting characters taking screen time and changes in the direction of the plot, and of course I can see break ups and dumb separations too, anything that can make story for a "few" more episodes. I am out.
I liked it but I am not going to say it is amazing or anything. It is full of clichés and gives too much screen time to the supporting characters, just like most chinese dramas. It just happens it was less frustrating so it was easier to watch.
I know a good background info on the characters is important to get to know them, but that took over half of the drama and because of that there was not enough time to actually develop the story in the Present, which also resulted in a rushed ending, so rushed that it did not even feel like the ending at all. There were also too many supporting characters, I could not even remember the names of them all and they took over a LOT of precious time that could have been spent on the main characters. And my last complain, although I had many more, is that I did not really like the male lead’s attitude with the female lead, be it his young self or him after the 12 years. Was he really in love with her? If she was not as beautiful would he even know she existed? I really could not get into their romance, it did not seem genuine.
I was bored most of the time, and ended up skipping some of the episodes that happened in the Present as I could tell this was not really going anywhere and the way it ended confirmed my suspicions. I can’t really recommend this to anyone. It is not that it is THAT bad, but just imagine a family drama with plenty of melodrama that drags for several episodes, and when it seems it is finally picking up the pace, bam, THE END. Wait, where is the next episode!? Oh, that was the last one... ??
True. Hime is a very common username between drama and anime fans. It is ok if you do not remember. I ended up adding the spoiler tag just in case. Don’t want to spoil anyone’s fun. Have a nice day!
Some of the songs he wrote seemed catchy in a cheesy way, the kind of song you hear a few times and it gets stuck in your head but that you would never listen to on a daily basis. But some were pretty good, one in particular I liked enough to add to my kpop playlist.
About the drama itself, it had parts that were good and other parts that were a little boring, but overall it was worth it, specially since it’s only 2 hours long.
I would have but what I commented on is all mentioned in this drama synopsis. I only made reference to episode 5 particularly but I did not reveal anything that could not be deducted prior to watching this. Maybe talking about the way the parents behaved around the baby, but I did not say exactly what their actions were. But if you think it is a spoiler, more people might think the same so I will mark it as spoiler just in case. Btw, I have "met" you on the comment section of a lot of dramas I have been watching. XD
Cute short drama in the romance-fantasy genre. In case you are wondering, you can watch this with eng subs on youtube, the channel’s name is Tooniverse-투니버스.
I was kind of enjoying the movie, then it ended. Yup, the way it ended made me think: "Wait, that’s the end? What just happened?" The ending might have left you confused. I know it did leave me confused for a few minutes, I was not sure if what I was thinking was what actually happened. Later I confirmed it by reading a review from someone who watched this and is a native, so that person should know better than me what the ending meant, right? Yet, even after getting that cleared, there were many questions left unanswered and many characters that were there then were not there and I was not quite sure why they would include them in the first place if they were to just be forgotten later on.
This definitely has many flaws, it had the potential to be a lot better. It will be a hit or miss. You will either like it or think it was just another movie, not a memorable one.
It was not bad. At first, and until the middle of the movie, the female lead is the kind of person no one wants to be around - selfish and arrogant. She gets better as the movie comes to an end, but I thought the ending was a "little" out of place as the way the main characters acted in one of the last scenes in a real life situation would not have been seen with good eyes. The ending was too drama like and not very realistic but I can ignore that since that is how it usually works, specially with japanese dramas. It’s their trademark.
Had this been a drama with 16 episodes it would have dragged and lost quality. I am not saying a few more episodes wouldn't be nice but I think this being 4 hours long instead of 16 or 20 was a smart choice. It is a good pick for a boring afternoon.
Btw, the title can be misleading, you do not get to see him butt naked. I know you may be disappointed at this point but it is still worth it, don’t give up because of this reason. XD
I was surprised by how entertaining this was. Not boring nor did it give too much screen time to the supporting characters like a lot of chinese dramas of this genre do. But it had its flaws. Near the end the plot went in a direction that I have seen many times and that is annoying, like a completely different person was writing the script for those episodes, then it went back to normal, then the last episode seemed to be ending in a very predictable and seen many times way, then it really didn’t. I guess they were just messing around with us.
Anyway, it was a pretty good drama, not perfect but better than most school related chinese dramas. 7.5/10 (that is a pretty good rating in my standards, anything above 7 is rewatchable)
His parents are and will probably continue to be cold and strict, but in episode 5 seeing the way they behaved with the baby, specially the father, it killed me. It was completely unexpected.
Also, In Sang is obviously a kid and is afraid of angering his parents, but seeing him standing up to his parents because of his love for Seo Bom and the baby, it is really refreshing.
The plot, the visual effects, the ending - all ridiculous. The only things I liked were the male lead and female lead interactions and some of the music played. But obviously, that is not enough to make a drama good. To be honest, unless you leave your brain somewhere other than in your head, it will be hard to think this is good. It is a shame tho, I would have liked to see the main couple in a different story and definitely with a different ending.
No wonder I kept getting Cruel City vibes from this, the screenwriter is the same. The way I felt about this was also the same I felt about Cruel City. I liked it in the beginning but then got tired of it, felt like the story kept going around and around. The amount of fight scenes is also too much, I feel like most of the time I spent watching this was to see people beating each other. Action dramas like this are not my thing, I prefer less fighting and more brains. A lot of fights can be avoided by planing things, by being smarter than the villains. Going into fights without much thought seems quite dumb to me. I will take a smart main lead over one that is good at fighting anytime.
Maybe I am the exception but I tried watching the first 3 episodes without skipping scenes and I was soooo bored. This kind of story should cause me to feel something but I was never able to connect with the characters, specially the main lead. I actually did not like him so I had a hard time feeling pity for him when he found out he had Alzheimer’s. I felt more pity for both his ex-wife and his current wife than for him. Being able to understand and connect to the main character is very important for me to be able to enjoy a drama, since that did not happen, no matter how good the story is or how well written it was, I was not able to enjoy it.
I am actually surprised that I felt nothing but boredom while watching this. I usually cry everytime there is something sad happening in the drama I am watching. I really cannot explain it in another way. I just did not like the main character as a whole.
4 years ago when this was released it might have been considered pretty good but now it is just another drama full of clichés and with nothing memorable about it. It is ok for a one time watch but it is nothing special.
