Most of it was entertaining. I had some laughs too. But the last few episodes did not keep up with the rest and were a little boring and the ending could have been a lot better, I felt it was lacking. Also, the female lead’s screams were just too much. I legit had to put the volume down everytime I even suspected that she was going to scream, it happened very often and was very predictable, anything was a reason for her to scream: from being actually scared, to seeing a bug, to the male lead messing with her, or just because she felt like screaming.
I would have given this a better rating had it not been for the reasons mentioned above, but it was not a bad drama, I enjoyed most of it.
It seems it is fully subbed on youtube. It is always good to do a quick search on dramas, even using the native name, as sometimes we miss on dramas thinking they are not subbed when they actually are and we just didn't look in the right place.
That one is more of a lakorn, with slap kiss at the beginning, and plot twists in the journey. But overall it…
Exactly. I have finished it a few days ago and although it had it’s flaws but the romance was refreshing since the male lead was not a playboy who gets violent and is always forcing the female lead. He did "attack" her several times but he was respectful about it and knew the limits, he was even willing to wait for her to say she loved him. I would say that the first episode was really slap and kiss, literally, but it was one of my favourites. XD
What makes this lakorn stand out from the rest is that instead of a playboy male lead we got a female lead that likes to play around, or at least pretend to. Other than that, it was full of clichés and was not much different from other lakorns.
I was iffy but like the actors. Saw your comment and and started the drama. It is FUN!
Glad my comment helped someone. Sadly the second season is not subbed yet but I think it will be picked up very soon and will be available in the same place I watched the first season.
This is clearly a parody but being so long it failed its purpose as it ended up just being a lakorn that makes fun of itself. It relied on the comedy factor but failed in it’s execution.
Let me tell you why you should NOT watch this IF you’re looking for a good romance story.
So the female lead reminds me of Cinderella. She is kind, so kind that she is naive and people use her. She is willing to do anything for her family, even if she has to sacrifice her own well-being. The male lead on the other hand is far from being Cinderella’s prince. He is a playboy, he is violent, he prefers to trust outsiders rather than the woman he "loves" and on several occasions treats her like garbage. There were actually more scenes of him being rude, violent and distrustful than him being caring. Even if here and there he shows some kindness, it is not enough to erase the many times he acted like a jerk.
This one was frustrating to watch and showed a lot of disrespect towards women, which I know happens often in Thailand but there are many other lakorns that are a lot better and that do not portrait women as punching bags and sex tools that have to put up with cheating boyfriends/husbands because it is "normal" for men to act like that and they just have to accept it.
The story was all kinds of messy. It reminded me of one of those dating games that has several routes. And in the end she chose the one I liked the least. Until the end I was still hoping she would choose the only one that never hurt her and was always there for her just like she was always there for him. I am disappointed even if I had no expectations when I started watching this.
Slow, very slow. And the second season has the typical female "friend" that is manipulative and will do anything to get the male lead’s attention. The ending isn't that satisfying either. I could have done without this one.
Am I the only one bothered by the fact that she gets involved with her ex-boyfriend when she already has a boyfriend? That is called cheating, two-timing, and there are probably more terms for it. Being in love with him is not an excuse. If she wants to to back to him, FIRST she should break up with her boyfriend. And she constantly lied to get away with it too. One of the worst female leads I have seen. She does not deserve how much the male lead loves her and btw, had this been the other way around with the male lead being the one dating 2 people at the same time, would it still be ok? I dont think so.
Anyway, I cant really recommend this because of the reasons stated above.
P.S. - I think this is not a spoiler as the synopsis makes it clear that she has a boyfriend AND gets close with her ex-boyfriend (at the same time).
Yeah i feel like he will be a love rival soon but it seems so unnecessary furthermore seeing how it is a taiwan…
Lol "seeing how it is a taiwan drama the last five episodes likely to be dramatic and draggy". That is like the most accurate thing I have read in the comment section. I don’t know if you have finished watching it yet but you were right. This one was no exception.
Hou ZI is the most pitiful character I have seen in a drama in a long time. They went too far making this character…
I understand how you feel. I also think Hou ZI deserved better. He was the character who suffered the most, he was legit the punching bag. But at the same time it just made the drama more realistic. Unfortunately in real life some people keep suffering from all kinds of problems even if they are good people. And getting sick/dying can happen to anyone. I guess they chose Hou ZI so they would not use the cliché of one of the main leads being the one with a terminal illness. I watched the drama until the end and did not really regret it but I did feel frustrated and sad several times so I don’t think I will ever watch it again.
Wow, so where do I start? I have really mixed feelings about this one. I liked a lot of moments and characters. There really isn't a main or supporting character that is hateful, they all have their flaws but you can relate to them and in part understand why they make certain choices even if you do not agree with them. There is no mean male or female second lead. The story was very realistic BUT frustrating at the same time. I understood why the characters acted in a certain way but it did still annoy me as I already knew what would happen later. I just wish some characters would be more honest with their feelings but then I guess we would not have a story. Btw, the last episode wrapped up things nicely. I don’t think there were any loose ends. Ofc I cant say more than that or I would have to mark this as spoiler.
Like I said, I have mixed feelings. I liked it, I think it is a pretty good drama but I probably will not have the courage to re-watch it as I don’t want to feel this frustration again. Also, I think the choice of main characters was pretty good. Had they chosen someone else and I think I might have dropped this in the beginning. They had good chemistry and fitted their roles very well.
Unfortunately there is a high chance this will not get subbed but the trailer made it seem interesting. It seems in this one it is the female lead who helps the male lead instead of the usual strong male lead always saves weak female lead.
I just started studying Chinese not long ago and I know I wont become fluent in 3 months (some believe this) but I hope maybe in a year or so I will know enough to be able to start subbing Chinese dramas. There are so many out there that us non-Chinese speakers never got the chance to watch. TT
I totally agree! Chinese dramas really need to start cutting down on their episodes. It always starts off so great…
One of the main reasons Chinese dramas lose to Korean dramas in terms of popularity is because most of them have too many episodes which results in either dragging stories or annoying sub-plots that had no place there. Of course there is also the dubbing and the lack of eng subs issues, but I find a lot of Chinese dramas actually have interesting plots. If only they could reduce the episode count a little...
Is there romance? I mean its not in the tags for genre but just curious
There is but it is far from being the main focus of the drama and if romance is what you’re looking for I am not sure you will be willing to sit for 54 episodes to watch 3/4 episodes worth of actual romance. It is there but considering the plot, it might as well have none.
At first this caught my attention. The start was interesting, but before it reached even half of the drama I started feeling bored and kept skipping a lot of scenes. Maybe I lost the point while skipping but I felt this was one of the most pointless dramas I have ever watched.
I don’t really want to spoil it but imagine you’re running the marathon and your goal is reaching the finish line and get first place no matter what. For you to reach your goal, your friends and even random people who are also participating in the marathon all help you by taking down other people so you can get first place, and in consequence they lose their chance to continue running in the marathon themselves. After so much struggle and so many sacrifices (other people’s sacrifices, not yours), you’re about to reach the finishing line and you’re in first place too, BUT then suddenly you’re like ugh, I cant do this anymore and stop running and just go grab a cup of coffee with your girlfriend while someone else finishes the marathon and gets first place.
And that is pretty much the plot this drama offers you. If you like palace politics you can still give it a try. If you want to watch it for the romance, believe me, if that is your main reason, forget it, it’s not worth your time, it is very slow-paced, just like the plot itself and is far from being the focus of the story. So yeah, depending on what you are looking for you might still want to give this a try.
Great start, real kisses (something you see rarely in thai dramas), the rest of the story was very predictable, including the ending BUT it is better than your average lakorn so I dont regret watching it nor do I think it was a waste of my time. For a picky watcher like me, this is a 7.5/10.
I would have given this a better rating had it not been for the reasons mentioned above, but it was not a bad drama, I enjoyed most of it.
This is the link for the 1st episode: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RSlSw2gh4wA&index=3&list=PLUg6CGAXr7pmy78ApHCKklkB-isU63IVB
All 46 episodes in the playlist seem to be subbed, they just aren't organized.
