The ending was heading somewhere none of us wanted it to, but at the same time there was no way to avoid it or it would create a HUGE plot hole. The way the writers handled it was pretty smart.
Great idea, below average execution. If I had that phone I would call the writer and tell them the story started well but they eventually messed it up and ask them to rewrite it and make sure to find a better director to adapt it into a drama. XD
I cannot get past the first episode. The FL does not fit with either of the the MLs and the storytelling is not my cup of tea. I think I now understand why it has a lower rating than most kdramas.
P.S. - It is not because the actress looks older because I thought she was well cast in 18 Again, but here it just feels like a miscast.
As a bro drama, it is nice, the 4 of them have a great friendship. Everything else is just not worth watching.
They are 4 and each has his own love insterest, so there are basically 8 main characters sharing screen time. There is so much going on with everyone that it feels like nothing is going on. Dramas like this one are the reason why I usually stay away from dramas that have more than 4 main leads or 2 main couples. When there are too many main characters, none of them stand out and if someone does, I will just feel frustrated that person/couple do not get more screen time.
im on episode one and barely started, can i guess if the middle sister is the one who is evil?
Bingo. It is always like that. If a female character important to the story seems to be too nice to be true and IS NOT the FL, chances are it is all a pretense. Have seen it over and over again.
It is not a bad drama but it definitely could have been much better.
The premise and acting were good enough, they could have really gone all out in the revenge part with a lot of thriller and action but instead this was all about some treasure map and a lot of she said, he said, throwing accusations left and right and boring subplots and supporting characters. Felt like the responsability to execute a good idea was given to someone with little experience and this was the result.
FL Chase after ML in most drama's ? Which one have you seen, cdrama's are filled with SIMP Male leads nowadays
Sorry, did not notice it was also on the list.
Yeah, I am sure I have some underrated dramas in my list but it is so big that it would take forever to find them. From my stats it seems I have watched over 2000 dramas since I joined MDL back in 2017, but I have been watching dramas since 2010 so it is probably a lot more. ^^'

Damn, you have quite a list there. I have watched almost all of the dramas on the list and a lot of them have a high rating from me too.
I was going to suggest Blossoms in Adversity since it is the most recent one I watched that fits your criteria but I see you have already watched it.
I donât think I saw New Life Begins in your list. The main leads go through some hiccups but love each other and remain together no matter what, there is no outside interference in their relationship, I mean, there is but they donât let it affect them, and there is no REAL love triangle, you will understand what I mean once you watch it.
I would like to recommend more but you have watched most of the ones I would recommend so New Life Begins was what came to mind since I am re-watching it with my mother.

Which ones did you watch that you liked? So I can recommend some you have not watched yet. My list of completed dramas is HUGE so I need to narrow it down before recommending something. ^^'

I have watched most cdramas out there and if I count, there are way more dramas where the FL is the one who falls in love first and chases after the ML than the other way around. Tho I agree that recently there have been quite a few dramas with the ML falling in love first.
I like the cast and it not being the FL chasing after the ML like in most dramas (tho from the synopsis it seems she will still be chasing a man, just not the ML, sigh) BUT the synopsis and trailer (including choice of music) are not doing it for me. Gave me the impression this will feel like watching a boring American romantic movie, but 40 episodes long.
If you have watched most of the episodes that have come out, is it worth watching?
Loved almost everything about it from the characters, to the story, and so on.
If I had one complaint, it would be having to see the Emperorâs face on the screen so often. Felt like punching my TV everytime he opened his mouth or showed that disgusting smirk on his face.
This drama creates such controversy regarding the age gap between the main couple. The audiences put so much emphasis…
If it was not for the comments I would not even know there is such a huge age gap. He looks older than her but he definitely does not look 46. The actress he is dating in real life is 19 years younger than him. If people are complaining about his character, I can only imagine what he has to deal with in real life.
The ones I watched were pretty bad. I relied more on my listening comprehension of Japanese to understand what was being said rather than the subs. Maybe you watched with different subs. But like I said, not even the best subs could save this one.
This was a drama that from the start felt different while being completely cliché and it was an enjoyable ride. Hard to put into words how I feel about this one, but if I went back to the past I would definitely watch it again. XD
Byeon Woo Seok was a good villain in his last drama but the role of the good guy here made him shine even more. And Kim Hye Yoon makes any drama brighter, just like she did with her role in Extraordinary You.

One time watch for me with a LOT of skipping.
I feel like this is the only word I could think of after finishing the drama.
