It was an enjoyable watch with both likable and unlikable characters and characters that you grow to like. I would not re-watch it tho.
The story felt like some things were missing here and there, the romance was slow and not worth watching solely for it with the drama being 37 episodes long and the ending was underwhelming. Not a bad drama for a one-time watch but it does not have much re-watch value for me personally.
Felt the same with Crash Landing On You. Maybe the screenwriter’s weakness is wrapping up the story. I loved most of her dramas but they all started getting less interesting near the end.
Gave me the exact same feeling I got when I finished Crash Landing On You, maybe because the screenwriter is the same for both dramas.
At times I loved them, at times I was bored, at times I found them funny, at times I found them too cliché and dramatic, and neither managed to have a hold of my heart up until the last episode. Both lost me at some point. I finished both, I gave both a pretty high rating but I cannot say either of them made it to my list of best kdramas I have watched.
So yeah, it is a good kdrama, but I think people who just recently got into kdramas will be able to appreciate it more than someone like me who has been watching kdramas for over a decade.
I was taught in a media class in college that 'Culture makes the media but media also makes the culture'It is…
Definitely true. Although I believe if your brain has not yet fully developed, so any age below 25...more or less depending on how mature you are, then you are even more impressionable. But like you said, being vulnerable will also play a part no matter how old the person is.
For a short drama this was pretty good. Creative plot, good acting and had the feeling of a high budget regular drama. The main leads also had great chemistry. One of the best short dramas I have watched.
A remake will be at a disadvantage to start with since it will be compared to the original and will most likely bring nothing new to the table.
With so many great kdramas to choose from, to choose an average one and make it worse, no wonder the rating is this low. In fact, the current rating (7.4), still feels too high for what this drama had to offer.
If you have looked closely at the content of the film before evaluating the acting of the FL, you have to remember…
I understand what you are saying. Sure, she does not have an easy life and that might play a role in her looking down a lot of the time.
But even when her character is happy or having fun, her eyes do not follow her mouth. Her mouth will be smiling but her eyes will look like she is bored. In romantic scenes that completely kills the mood. The male lead looks so in love while she just looks like "why not? I mean, he is rich and good looking, might as well accept him". There is no emotion. Maybe romantic scripts are not her thing.
Started well and was enjoyable most of the time but the last few episodes were a drag. And let’s be honest, the actress playing the FL was not the best choice.
I am not talking about her looks, although she does look quite plain next to Moon Sang Min, it’s her facial expressions, or lack thereof. She is playing a character that is supposed to be a pretty good actress that is just out of luck and has yet to catch her big break. But the character itself is not well played. Her eyes do not match whatever emotion her face is supposed to show. 90% of the time her character looks tired, depressed or bored, sometimes all of those together, even when she is supposed to be happy or having fun. Am I the only one who was bothered by this? ^^'
P.S. - I watched the movie The Call and thought she did a really good job there, she even won a Best Actress award for that movie, so it is not like she cannot act.
The cat is out of the bag so no, it did not end on a positive note. You might want to wait for next week’s episodes.
I agree, I don’t like it when they put stuff like that on hold until near the end of the drama but since we have to wait another week for the next episode it is annoying that we have to remember that as the last thing that happened. I would rather have her find out on episode 5 so in episode 6 we could see the aftermath. Having to wait another week is torture, but I know they do it intentionally to make us come back every week. ^^'
The fact they delayed the release of new episodes with the way episode 18 ended is so frustrating. I am as curious as the main leads to find out who that man is. ^^'
This was great. I prefer this version to the Japanese one but both made me cry like a baby. I can only watch this kind of drama once in a while or I will be too depressed.
This drama aired in January 2014, probably filmed in 2013 if not earlier. You cannot expect it to have the same…
Maybe you need to change the quality settings. I am pretty sure when I watched it a few weeks ago the quality was not that bad.
By the way, there is this Chinese drama that just finished airing that is basically the same plot as this one with a few differences, it is called Angels Fall Sometimes. You might want to check it out if you have not watched it yet.
