Completely unrelated to the actual drama but, am I the only one who thinks that Ji Soo looks like a mix of Jang Na Ra and Chae Soo Bin? I'm on ep. 2 and can't un-see this 😅

While I wouldn't say this was one of my favorite shows to have ever watched, I did find it riveting. I for one did not mind the ending, in fact, I found it fitting. This was not a mystery/whodunit drama from the start. The point of the drama was not to figure out the killer (ironically the same as the police investigator). This drama was about the corruption of the legal and prison system and how flawed it is, from the investigation to the legal representation to the court, to the prison environment and the mental impact it can have on a person. Being released at the end was almost pointless to him, the damage has already been done. He will never be the same person again nor will his life be anywhere near where it was before all of this. That was the point of the drama. Who was the real murderer and how he did it is completely irrelevant to what the story is actually about.

I watched the trailer and it seems to be a lighter, sanitized, lowbrow and cheaper version of the 2019 C-movie Better Days except the ML is an older, rich doctor. I haven't seen the actual drama so I can't really comment on the acting or the plot but if you want a weightier more serious version than this then I suggest watching the C-movie Better Days or the J-movie My Blood & Bones in a Flowing Galaxy.

Does anyone know the song playing in ep. 5 that starts at 14:46 when the ML picks up the FL from school? It doesn't seem to be a part of the ost.

This is my second attempt at watching this and again I got fed up by the end of ep. 3. I usually love Jasper Liu but here, he's giving me the creeps. His character's behavior throughout the 3 episodes is completely stalkerish and full of physical and sexual harassment. His behavior comes off as calculated rather than passionate which, dare I say, makes it even creepier. As for the FL, her choices and behavior are completely ridiculous. And she's screeching in his face most of the time rather than dealing with him in any semblance of realistic responses to his actions. I didn't find a single likable or relatable character in this drama to push me to continue watching. While I love steamy dramas as much as the next person, there needs to be some substance whether in the story or the characters (preferably both) and I found none in here. Because of that, the scenes that were meant to be steamy ended up feeling icky and boring to me. If you want to watch it for the steamy romance, then you might be better off watching the compilation and MVs on YouTube.
