Rated it 6/10
Rated it 6/10.
As I bid farewell to the characters, I honestly hope that they don't make another season of this drama. It's better to part ways on a high rather than making one season too many and leave people sour at the end.
It's an easy 9.5/10 drama.
There are no real relationship conflicts. I would have liked for them to deal with some relationship conflicts that can happen between couples with busy professional lives. Seems like a missed opportunity. But still enjoyable.
Rated it 8/10
It was a good watch overall. Rated it 8/10
I do not regret watching this but the ending left me unsatisfied, similar to My Mister. Like, Chang Hee's character to me is the heart of the show. How they ended his story was poor. Sure, he may have found Funeral director as the purpose of his life but why tease the relationship with his friend, only to break it in next episode? What was the point of that? Why break his heart again?
Is the elder sister going to wait for a decade to get married? Is that a good ending? Is Mr. Gu leaving alcohol behind a good ending? Couldn't they have added few scenes that he is in rehab finally, as he once advised his Ex-girlfriend?
I would have rated this drama 9.5 but the last episode just made me remember the sour feeling of My mister ending all over again.
Rated this 8/10.
Neither I liked any character nor hated it. The drama is somewhere in between good and bad. ML choosing his pride over relationship felt real for change and the follow-up breakup segment has the ugliest real cry you will see in dramas. Rather than the usual 1 episode breakup, leads having extended breakup is something different than usual. FLs emotional and harsh take down of MLs antics was the highlight of the drama.
Rating it 7/10. But I won't recommend watching this.
Kind of disappointed with the ending of MLs friends. Both of them were good dudes. MLs chaotic friend could have paired with FLs co-worker. Their dynamic would have been chaotic. Why did MLs other friend reject the boxer and she was never seen again? This was a weird ending for both the characters. FLs brother had no screentime or role in the drama. FLs best friend ending up with her brother is another weird choice.
This drama screenwriter is same as Bubblegum. It appears that she overcompensated the simplistic yet nice story of Bubblegum and tried to add thriller/mystery element. Thriller element should have ended with the suicide. Twin was unnecessary. The screentime of thriller could have been spent to address the childhood issues of ML and use remaining time for other characters to round off the story. Even addressing mental health portion of police might have been a better choice.
None of these are major issues and the drama is still a good one-time watch. It's a good healing drama. slow-paced drama enjoyers will like it. Rated this 8/10.
There is lot of flashback to childhood throughout the drama.
Decent one-time watch. Rated it 7/10.
Episodes are also under 60 mins, which makes them binge worthy. Only issue with this drama is the non existent OST.
On the second leads - It is better to leave the audience asking for more scenes of the second lead than actually giving them more space than needed. They are second lead for a reason. If people end up liking second leads more than the main, then there are major problems with a drama.
Rated it 8/10.
One question that did come up in my mind while and after watching this. Did FL punish the culprits that wronged her in another life or she created the culprits in second life to punish them? I felt it was the later on some level. Still an enjoyable drama nevertheless.
Rated it 7/10. You can watch it once. I don't think it has any rewatch value.
It was a good choice to make the rich FL a normal human vs a rich jerk CEO. Story ends perfectly, leaving each relationship where should be to. Credits to the drama for being able to successfully avoid the cliche of making the CEO as jerk, avoiding breakup+time skip, avoiding making side couples more interesting than main one, avoiding pairing ML brother with ML friend,
People keep giving examples of Romance is romancing. The first 8 episodes of this show was prime example of this. This should be credited. They also had the most natural progression of relationship given the premise of the story.
OST could have been better. I rated this 9/10.
Happy ending at the end of season-2.
I did not know that the main plot was basically cheating and bunch of supporting characters glamourising it as profound love. People can breakup or fall out of love for any reason. The way the relationship progressed is cheating. There is no denying this if you watched first 6-7 episodes. FL takes a supposed break, went behind the guy's back and waited till her feelings are strong enough and rug pulled the guy. The second half of the drama with the guy being portrayed as some sort of big evil is just a cop out to make the audience feel sympathetic towards FL and overlook her actions.
The drama just became a comedy than melo and I just laughed at whatever scenarios were created in the second half, particularly with the FLs ex-boyfriend.
I can't believe this drama is rated 8.3 on MDL. Drama watchers seem to be more accommodating in general if trash behaviour is from main leads. Maybe a contributing factor is a large percentage of drama watchers are fans of actors playing leads.
I rated it 4/10.
