I actually only really care about two of the shows , lol. But I bet I could binge watch A Tale of A Thousand Stars before this airs, and if I like it I'll have three that I'm really jazzed about.
Excited to see such a close release date! I had a feeling when I saw how quickly everything was being filmed.
here's a summary someone wrote. obviously major spoiler warning if you were to read ithttps://www.tumblr.com/anotherblblog/713954708891533312/thanks-for-the-correction-ill-update-my-recap
Thank you, I did read it. Sounds good and now I'm even more excited.
I need some lucky person who is able to view this in cinemas to come back and say how good it is. I am jealous but can be patient, mostly I just wanna know about my favorite scenes from the novel. :D
It's definitely happening, I guess (or to stick to facts I know for sure, a vampire BL is happening) - I heard shooting will be probably end of this year/beginning of next? But don't quote me, I get my news second and thirdhand.
I think Chan is dead. The soldier in that universe is Dome. He got transferred there somehow. People keep yeeting…
I think it's "Dome" in the same sense that Nanon as The One was "Dome" briefly. The body is probably different but that is what Khatha sees because that's where his Dome's consciousness is (kind of like how he saw The One!Nanon as Dome briefly before he realized it wasn't him). I think that that one was just a visual to show us that's where our Dome's consciousness was sent.
Edit: or now that I think of it, it probably is another universe, but it's the one where the Dome Khatha knows was thrown by The One, rather than a random alt!Dome. So another hijacking, ha.
Same! Like obviously writing of some bits could be better. I believe no show is perfect or I haven't seen one…
Yes I think you can tell that everyone was really having a blast. Even the one shot guest stars were enjoying themselves immensely. And that in turn made it fun to watch.
I can say freely that I have rewatched multiple times, and now that I have the whole thing I plan on doing a bingewatch to get it all at once. Can't wait. I don't think that anything has beaten this for me for sheer enjoyment in a while.
gotta mention nanonβs acting this episode! absolutely incredible
He'd honestly never been on my radar before this, don't know why - but this put him on it for sure. He did so well as all the characters he had to play, truly a delight to watch.
I know this show was not advertised as a BL but man did it end up being gayer than half of the BL's that we actually…
These are my thoughts. I won't lie and say that it's not flawed or that it couldn't have done things better, but I also can't lie and say that I didn't love almost every episode anyway (five was the one I liked least, I think, and that was because of the auction stuff mostly). I'd give it a ten for sheer enjoyment though. I just had a blast.
AAAAH I loved it. Honestly yes the show could have been more tightly written overall but I don't even care, I adore it. I would watch 5000 more episodes of Dome and Khatha being ridiculous at each other and honestly either Nanon or Gun as The One causing chaos and loving life while destruction rains down. And honestly, I would love for Tay to get more to do, he was underutilized here (I did love him living centuries just to snark at Khatha and then die, but the stinger at the end of the show made me badly want him in a real villain role.
I don't want to hope for a sequel and then be disappointed but if it happened I would watch the hell out of it. Even if it chooses to follow museum curator!Tay instead.
And those damn lilies of the valley make yet another appearance. I see you, show.
Preview makes it looks like The One will be back next ep, still wearing Nanon. Also I've said before (although…
IMO no one here is a literal god, but I think it's clear that Chan, Dome, and The One are not human, either. Alien is just the closest thing to what I really think they are.
The cult is totally trying to resurrect Chan, For them, it has always been about Chan, because of Boon. But that doesn't mean that The One hasn't been pulling strings to orchestrate this for his own ends. Maybe he doesn't want to position himself as their god, but he wants *something*, The destruction of this world, maybe?
The "demon" was just another version of the shadow people that Dome can call up when he's under extreme duress, I thought. I don't think any of the religious stuff is meant to be a strict 1:1, but maybe I'm wrong there. It wouldn't be the first time.
I don't think that The One wants Dome's body - he already said he doesn't like the face much. π Sorry if I was unclear on that. I do think that he wanted exactly what happened, I'm just not sure why. My guess is destruction, though why I'm not sure. Jealousy, if we're going to continue the whole religious motif (as in, he would be Lucifer who was jealous of humans)? Just because it's fun? An attempt to set himself up as supreme ruler of the ashes? Some combo of the three? Hopefully we find out when June finds him.

Personally I dislike the idea of him as a god anyway. I think he was just a man - or alien, I guess - with strange powers who wanted to be able to be entirely himself and whoops, found himself at the head of a cult. But I mean, if we want to get into the weeds of religion, Messiah figures aren't infallible. They do tend to be martyrs, though.

Yes that's what I think! And I think it was all orchestrated by The One, who actually plans to be the one to take over when all is said and done. Or he just wants to bring about Chan's promised end of the world because he's a chaos gremlin and he thinks it would be fun.
I just think that dude is evil. He was in *all black*, man, everyone knows that's code for "the baddie in the script" :D

I didn't get the impression he wanted it much. I thought it was more that he wanted to be able to use his powers and the villagers worshipping him meant that he could and not be judged, which was why he was so keen to keep them onside even at the expense of Khatha's feelings, and why he didn't want to go away with him.
Or maybe he helped because he wanted to, and could, and then Book filled his head with all that "you're too important to be seen with the riffraff" stuff, and he bought into it. But the first feels a little more true.

Or none of it at all, ha.
