this is an A+ drama. if you don't have emotional intelligent this series seem normal to you, but if you do every…
You claiming people who don't connect with this drama don't have emotional intelligence is not showing emotional intelligence. I really hate elitist takes like this
How does slop like Perfect Crown get a 8.5 when this exists?
I hate the elitism on this site sometimes. PC executes what it sets out to do well, and that's why it's popular and getting high ratings. This show is trying to do something completely different. Comparing them is so lazy.
I don't really like Kim Bum's character. He's too perfect, all innocent seeming and obsessing over the FL and just like weirdly upbeat and smiling all the time, it feels kinda fake and gives me the ick a bit. I know a lot of people love him and that's cool, he just ain't doing it for me (the character, nothing about the actor). I also have no issue with the FL, I like that she is savvy, smart, and ambitious and will do anything to succeed, I much prefer that to a doormat FL who is sweet and sacrificial to a fault and would rather suffer for no reason in silence than make anyone else even remotely uncomfortable by going after what she really wants. idk I guess I just feel more engaged by characters who are more realistic and flawed.
I watched the first 2 episodes. It's obvious the two main leads are especially rude to each other to provide contrast…
Dramas that are gonna be good ALWAYS show it by ep 4, like by ep 4 if you are not IN IT then it's gotta be a drop. That's my rule and it's made it so I didn't drop dramas that had a slow start but ended up being amazing (Iike Twinkling Watermelon or Chicago Typewriter) or kept hanging onto dramas that I really wanted to be good but weren't ever gonna get there
why does dramas required 2ML ... in every drama it's injustice to them... they are good at everything but no use..…
I so agree. The best dramas have a totally separate second lead couple , and the writer can use the second couple to keep us engaged when the first couple is going through their inevitable angst. It's just lazy writing to include a love triangle.
The second episode didn't really seal the deal for me. I should have started Perfect crown instead of this one,…
So I've discovered the best dramas take their time out the gate, and have this kinda half engaging, half plodding feeling at first, where there's SOMETHING keeping you from dropping, but you also feel like they should be so much more engaging somehow, then around ep 4 they suddenly RAMP TF UP and you're soo hooked, cause they spent so much time laying a solid foundation. I'm hoping that's what this drama is gonna do, so I'mma hang in until ep 4 and see.
I completely forgot about this drama. I do want to watch it but it took me forever to finish the first episode
They do a lloooot of setup, I remember feeling so impatient for them to just get going with the actual main story. SOMETIMES that can mean the drama will develop really nicely cause it has a solid foundation, and the second ep was def more entertaining, so here's hoping
LJW is a good actor. He's just really bad at picking scripts to the point where I'm sceptical. Anyway will trust…
ISTG it's that he is either really bad or really good. Like he will pick an amazing script or a trash script, there is no in between for him. He is due for an amazing one let's cross our fingers.
I'd love for him to focus on non-romance crime dramas or something similar for a while, since those tend to have better writing and he can show more range. I'd love to see him in one of those. Early in his career I was sure he was the one to watch of his generation but yeah he just hasn't gotten enough good roles to really cement himself even after all these years.
Man, I bet In A is actually helping him, I assume the pharmacy case he was working on was WAY bigger and deeper than he realized, and he would have gotten buried by it or would have tipped off too many people by looking into it. She def came back to take down some super high level corruption that goes deep into the leadership of the company. And I believe she actually really values Ki Jun's skill as an auditor, but his entitled reaction to being put on a lower team has made her want to humble him a bit so that they can eventually work together better.
I liked the eps, they were fun and both actors are doing a great job, but they both are more caricatures rather than actual characters. So far we don't know much about In A, and Ki Jun seems to just be floating through life blandly, so I'd like to understand a bit more about what he really wants or cares about other than being the best at work. Or have him develop to actually have true passion about something with a little more depth. I feel like they will reveal this in the coming eps, tho, so I'm excited to keep watching and hopefully find out.
I think he was sent to Team 3 , to stop his investigation. The one he wanted to continue.
Yeah him telling his ex "I'm not the kind of person" in the hallway is what made her trust him. I think she def put him there because he is actually valuable to her for some reason , and his reaction has made her feel like she needs to cut him down a few pegs, again cause she is going to need him to help her take down the company and so he needs to get rid of the ego.
What do you mean entitled he like the FL is the best employee there
I find it really telling that he works exceptionally hard when going after big wins that will reflect well on him, but completely slacked off on his first assignment under the 3rd group that he didn't think was worthy of him-- like the man rented a drone for past investigations but for this one he didn't even bother talking to the people involved. How can you argue he is the best worker when he's more worried about not having to do a task he thinks he's too smart for than doing the task assigned to him well.
Even your example shows a sense of entitlement. Teachers are extremely important positions in society, there are countless stories of great teachers changing the lives of their students. So why is that below a rocket scientist? If a rocket scientist was able to teach HS kids a love of science he could do just as much good, even if it's not as prestigious to those on the outside.
The FL is an astute judge of character, and she is exposing his hypocrisy and ego. A manager doesn't have to justify why they are moving someone to a different team, and she is correct thathat there are no "small" issues. The affair cases he's looked into so far have exposed two high level employees who were acting inappropriately. How is beneath him? The fact that he has made himself into this huge victim in all this is very telling.
I think they're also implying that as the youngest boy amongst a bunch of older sisters, he's been spoiled and…
Yeah his ex saying "you've never had anyone hate you, right?" was a huge tell of his main flaw. He grew up the baby of the family to doting sisters/mom, has always been talented and excelled at school/work, and is able to use his good looks to charm the rest. He cannot handle that someone doesn't like him, and it really shows his ego. He has this dogmatic belief of "if I excel and do the right things according to my own standard, I deserve to be appreciated" that does smack of entitlement and just does not reflect reality.
I feel like the PM is going to turn into the villain and the promise the FL made him this episode will easily…
Yeah if you think about it, she made two competing promises -- one to the PM never to lie to him, and one to the prince to keep everything between them secret. Sooooo she gonna have to break one of those.
I hate to say it since I love both actors, but I had so high expectations and they were not fulfilled, so I'll…
Aww shame, sucks when there is a drama everyone is loving but it's not clicking with you. Maybe you can come back when it's over and see if you can get back into it.
the proposal scene was so beautiful and the young king finally deciding something for himself is a W !! ALSO THAT…
I was so happy because I had the thought after the dinner scene with the queen and them driving home together "damn these two are 100% in love and don't realize it." So the kiss felt like such a natural next step.
