I binged all 6 eps in one day not realizing there weren't more AND ALL I WANT IS MORE NOW. This drama is SO wonderful, I see what all the hype is about. The writing is so well done--I hate when shows have pointless side plots, but all the plotlines weave together so well and are important for the character arcs.
Though with them switching back this week and us only being halfway through I'm a bit worried about what is going to happen, I'm afraid of something terrible.
I just hope I enjoy it and Mun Ka young don't ruin yet another drama for me.....God knows how long i've waited…
I think MKY is wasted on the upbeat, bubbly, naive lead roles. She was meant to play tsundere, conflicted, dark characters. She is one of the only reasons I finished the god-awful Tempted, she kept up with WDH in that, and at times out-acted him, she overshined Joy so much that MKY felt like the lead even though she was 2FL. Since then she keeps picking lighter roles probably because they're the roles she's offered, and I'm also unimpressed.
I really wish there were more 16-episode K-dramas like this. I checked through MDL's search filter and, so far…
Totally disagree. I can count on one hand the 16 ep series in the last 5 years that were solid the ENTIRE run. Even the best ones end up with a slump somewhere in eps 11-15, or have an amazing 12-13 eps and then fizzle out through the end. K drama writers seem mostly incapable of sustaining that amount of eps. I'd rather have a couple episodes that are a little rushed than having random plot lines, lazy tropes, confusing character actions, etc thrown in just to keep a underdeveloped story puttering along
I'm one episode in and this sh*t gonna be sooo good -- the directing is masterful, the cinematography and editing are perfect, writing is solid, acting is spot on for every character so far. HERE WE GOOOO
One of the best writers of K drama right now with this amazing cast, I am soooooo excited. Da Mi and Suk Ku are gonna burn it up together, they are both such intense actors.
I'm in ep 3 and wanna keep watching this show but Gyu Ri is so unapologetically manipulative and entitled my skin crawls every time she's on screen and it seems like she doesn't get any better and I just am gonna be frustrated with her the whole time so I guess I'll have to drop it.
The actress who plays her is fantastic I just cannot stand the character.
I'm a few eps in but this seems like the exact same storyline of season 1: - Si Eun is an anti-social loner who sleeps most of the time and keeps to himself and focuses on grades and doesn't talk to anyone - Si Eun eventually snaps and fights back against bullies to protect a weak nerd, surprising them with his savvy and earning a reputation - A charming fighter with a heart of gold who doesn't really care about good grades befriends him and tries to break through his hard outer shell, eventually leading them to become close friends - They get tangled up in the more organized and elite crime organization and have to work together to take them down
Also as much as I love this cast and think they're doing fine, there was just this magic about Si Eun and Su ho that is really missing from this season.
Like.. what is different here, really? It's not bad I'm just kinda bored cause we've seen all of this before and it seems like Si Eun's character arc is very static. Should I keep watching?
He can pull off cool and mature, y'all forgot about him in Weak Hero. I think this is a great role for him, and he can do the silly side very well, too. I didn't feel weird seeing him in the suit, I think he looks like many other actors of his age who play roles like this.
How did I not realize Lee Sang Yi was in season 1?!?!?!I thought the first time I saw him was no gain, no love! I thought he was a new character this season. I FEEL CRAZY. But I'm excited.
I hadn't seen him in anything and didn't see the hype about him before the drama, but I see it now, oooof. I loved him in this role and became an instant fan, I'm in love. He's very intense and engaging and I hope to see him in some really cool roles in the future.

I wish she was playing the lawyer instead of LJS.
