HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP. SWEETNESS. DESPITE CLICHES, LEARNING WHAT TRUE LOVE IS

This drama caught me totally by surprise. I started it out of curiosity because of the MV, and i ended addicted to it. Even though it differs from the original novel, it was very very good. It's the classic contract marriage Cinderella clichè, but with some surprises and not totally clichè. I really liked the leading couple. Wang Zi Qi as Yin Sichen was OUTSTANDING, a cold and overbearing CEO... and a rolling cute bear. I really loved his character development. He does not change completely, but he has no fear to show his weak side anymore. He's the overbearing CEO, but at the same time the jealous and a bit immature adult man deeply in love.
Wanyg Yuwen as Gu Xi Xi was simply perfect. She's not strong and not so weak. She learns to be stronger and brave in love.
Their chemistry is really eyecatching and overwhelming. I don't complaing about XiXi's style, since everyone forgets her background.
I quite liked the second pairing, they are cute in their own way but very very at side. Sichen's assistand steals the thunder when he shows, he's charming.
I really hated both second leads. They are very obsessive. Mo Zixin is an obsessive stalker who does not give up, and hides his manipulative side behind a facade of the gentleman. How awful. Ran Xiwei is even worse. Obsessed like crazy, she has no shame in using tricks.
GRANDMA AND MOTHERS FOR THE BEST AHAHAHAHAHA
I really loved it, well-made clichè are so perfect to watch.
Really recommended if you want something light, heartwarming, but with a wink of important topics.

DON'T WASTE TIME IN TRASH

A cringe, trash, horrible adaptation of the Taiwanese masterpiece"Someday or one day".
The drama fails to be equal in the OST, charm, strength, intensity, acting and cinematography of the original masterpiece. The actors lack chemistry and are unable of getting into the character, the two protagonists in particular, where the change in character is almost not noticeable. FL is a psychopath, both adult and girl. Bad choices for the OSTs that are not strong enough to leave some impression , excessively modern
The bond between the three protagonists is non-existent, both shallow and lacking depth, with actors without charm. The flow of the story is totally altered, focusing on the love story rather than on intrigue and mystery, altering the balance of the original story. Balance that is missing until the end.
We can say it's not actor's fault, but they were a mismatch, and they were totally unable to feel the complexity of their characters.
And someone should explain to me, why the pro lgbt message from the original one, becomes a lovey dovey BL fairytale...
Don't waste time and watch the original.

THE ORIGINAL AND BEST ONE

Don't watch the foolish Korean adaptation. This original one is far better.
Unfortuntaley, a drama that suffers from the low budget (with one and only sponsor), but a masterpiece as a plot and as costumes. The story is captivating, a perfect mix of comedy and serious topics, romantic moments. This drama is a perfect example of LGBT content as a whole. We find various situations, bisexuality among others.
I loved the development, entering the heart of the love story, enters a darker and more difficult situation of power intrigue and struggle than in the first half of the story.
Sheng Yilun as Qi Sheng is absolutely wonderful ❤️ as cold, as charismatic and charming, and the delicate little gestures and sentences can pierce your heart. Zhang Tiana is perfect as Zhang Pengpeng, beautiful, determined, with a dominant and mature character, who also knows how to handle women. Her femininity does not diminish the strong, dominant character of the "man's heart".
The Princes have their own reasons, even Prince Zhao who basically has a very pure heart. Yue the classic "green tea" perfect in the role.
Two things I loved are the importance of sexuality in the story, in the relationships, and above all the crystal clear development in Qi Sheng's feelings. He perfectly knows the woman he fell in love with.
I loved how after towards the end, from episode 27 she can accept herself as a woman, and that from the next episode the male internal voice disappears ❤️ I also loved Pengpeng's love speech , that the love puts on the same level.
In addition to the happy ending, there are two other alternative endings with different perspectives always adult and mature, on the serious line of the drama. The spinoff is cute.
Watch this only, because it's a masterpiece despite everything.

WHAT IS GOGURYEO? STEALING GAOGOULI FROM CHINESE TERRITORY

Dramas like these are the reason that makes me totally distrust, and laugh, at those who watch Korean dramas, and it will always be that way. I may be polite, but I don't trust them at all.
Because they say to know about history, but it's not the reality. This drama is the proof of that.
A drama that steals Chinese history from the Liaodong peninsula region, but also cultural appropriation of Chinese hanfu, instead of Chinese hanbok. The proof is that the tombs of Gaogouli, what they, NOT others, call Goguryeo, are in China.
They prove themselves to be the famous cultural thieves that they are worldwide.
The area that extends into Chinese territory such as Gaogouli (Goguryeo) and Balhae (Bohai), instead of acknowledging that they are part of Chinese history, they have the nerve of the interpretation of Korean historians, they work so hard to create "fantasy history" to save their pathetic ego and their inferiority complex.
Liaoning belonged to Northern Wei, Sui and Tang of Yingzhou governor and tax registry office, the upper northern reaches of Western Liao River belonged to Khitan, Gaogouli never ruled Western Liaoning, he was afraid of these empires, the red line of Western Liao River had no government organization of official population registry. There are cultural relics and historical documents to prove that Koreans fabricated maps of "Goguryeo" (which does not exist in Korean history) to increase their national confidence in a pathetic way.
Korea was considered part of China. The definition of Korea today should be a rebel state expelled from the Chinese Sinosphere.
The northern comrade brothers do not want reunification, while the other side wants to represent and inherit all the history and culture of the Korean Peninsula by itself, a little too shamelessly.
The drama is considered a "faction drama", which blends historical facts with creative fiction (so they are openly stealing), because there is little historical information available about Queen Woo (Queen Yu is her real historical name) . Questionable historical accuracy, especially regarding the depiction of costumes.
Director Jung explained that some creative liberties were taken due to the scarcity of historical materials, so the director admits to stealing from China. The armors are based on the Shanmun, the typical Chinese armor.
The drama is a Western-style representation, with random gore and explicit scenes, as well as homosexuality. Although it was real, it is depicted in a fetish and vulgar way.
How can the king wear yellow hanfu when he is a king of a tributary vassal state and not an emperor?
Kings were not allowed to wear yellow clothes.
If they don't like Chinese culture and don't want to be Chinese, why do they still have the symbol of Daoism on their flag, as well as wearing Ming Dynasty hanfu and stealing Han Dynasty hairstyles and hanfu?
This is essentially a Hollywood series with Korean actors who have become too Westernised ( and not well casted at all).
Show it to a true historian and they will think it's about the Three Kingdoms or Warring States. "Some parts are artistically created, because there are few of them." So it's obvious theft.
The events of the drama take place in just 24 hours, the plot moves quickly without any room for depth, and with unnecessary gore and nudity that compromises the overall quality of the drama,
Korea should stop stealing from China, because Gaogouli is Chinese, and Chinese dynasties like historical wuxia are both tangible and intangible cultural heritage of China.
The drama basically cuts historical events in half.
Historians tend to disagree on whether there were even five princes, or whether there were four. This means that the writer has more leeway in what he wants to do, but what he chooses to do with his creative freedom is lacking and most importantly illogical and unhistorical. A historical drama does NOT need fantasy. For example, portraying the Fourth Prince as a coward and a pervert obsessed with the queen seems strange when we should be supporting him.
But this is a drama for perverts. Because watching people engaging in s*x is NOT normal at all.
And they should be ashamed of being on the side of those who steal.

A GREAT EMPEROR

An intense, serious, mature drama about political intrigue, brotherhood and sincerity. An Emperor always misunderstood, but with a noble heart. I loved this drama and my beloved Emperor Yongzheng ❤️ All the characters are well-developed, as is the remarkable historical accuracy, not entirely complete though. The drama presents us with an increasingly masterfully woven and intricate intrigue, from the period as Prince until his death, accurate down to the smallest detail.
I like that they also gave accuracy to the figure of Yinsi, halfway between historicity and Yongzheng's vision of him. I loved all the Princes again ❤️
Ending in line with the story, which opens on the window for Emperor Qianlong

DON'T WASTE YOUT TIME, WATCH THE ORIGINAL VERSION

This "Go Princess Go" adaptation is nothing compared to the original Chinese one. First of all, the main leads. Deleting the sexuality element is totally deleting the whole story and the main topic. FL doesn't know who he (she) is, ML doesn't know why he falls in love and with who he falls in love. The intrigue political scheme is non-existent.
There is no balance in comedy and seriousness, it's more like a parody ( when the beauty of the original is in their balance).
The modernity of the topics doesn't exist, it lacks the flavor of a new field.
It's bland, and the actors can't act. She is even not cute and nor elegant or femenine at all. Beauty doesn't exist. Their climb to understand who she really is to reign is deleted. I'm not surprised, when Korea is only able to ruin Chinese masterpiece making them a laughingstock.
The tragedy is 0.
Don't waste your time with this trash and watch "Go Princess Go".

HEARTWARMING AND VERY DEEP EMOTIONS, A REAL MASTERPIECE

Liu Yichang is wonderful in this drama ❤️ The story seems calm, but it can really get straight to yout heart. Wonderful OSTs, well-rounded and well-developed characters, and a story that immediately captivates. The chemistry between the two protagonists is on fire, tremendously strong just right away. Each Prince has his own characteristics despite everything, and there is no real villain, but a "grey" character with motivations. Liu Yichang portaying Zhao Chenyi does a very great and perfect job, making the Fourth Prince as serious as kind and passionate, and immediately after I adored the Second Prince, stiff but deep down very sweet. The admiration for the Crown Prince is immense, he is a splendid character who fights against his own destiny just trying to be happy and to see others happy. The Eleventh Prince who behaves like child is endearing, but he is a character who reveals a deep side throughout the story.
The two that I loved the most are the Fourth and Second Prince, with tremendous depth, especially the Fourth Prince.
Xu Ruohan portraying the role of the protagonist Xiao Jia is very cute ❤️ strong-willed, but also feminine, sweet and naive.
The Crown Prince and Crown Princess 😭 I loved them both so much, a wonderful couple in love for whom I cried a river. He's not someone who steals your heart, but you can't help but admire him.
Just over halfway, there's a plot twist that greatly changes the whole story. Every character, even the secondary ones, mature a lot, especially the Eleventh Prince, who changes completely. As VR Game style, it's one of the best, and ranks among the top places among the best dramas of 2023. The second part of the story is a little darker, but also very romantic. I loved the development of the theme not only of the game, but also of social relationships. "If you love someone, you respect their decision, forcing them is not something I would want."
The story drags you from start to finish, completely enthralling you.
Happy ending, where the details must be understood because it is a bit open, but catching the details makes it clear (even in the final time skip).
I suggest this drama a lot and very strongly, even for the topic of the medicine and vowing to help others.

PLAGIARISM AGAIN

Plagiarism comes back. No difference with the first season.
Actors are not good, even adult actors. They seems like children, and the whole drama is like a middle school recital. They can't act and they are not handsome at all.
Nor original at all, only a cheap plagiarised copy with low budget.
I won't recommend this drama, but of course, go ahead if you want to watch it and give it a try.
It's impossible to keep the whole cheap story in less episodes. The new actress... how many plastic surgery did she have? she doesn't seem human at all.
It's torturing yourself watching this drama,

NOT WORTH OF IT

one of the worst drama i've ever watched. Boring af, the ML is stiff and the only smile he makes is at the very ending. Excessive use of terrible CGI ( the ML is not handsome, he's even worse in CGI). Excessive use og gaming time, boring and stupid.
The relationships are bland.
The only worth thing is the bond between Ye Xiu and Su Mucheng. Even with the new team, it's too weak.
The plot is very good, but the development is very bad.
Not wort watching. Better watch Falling into your smile rather than this.

BEING ACCEPTED AND LOVED

This drama reminds me why I love Chinese dramas so much, full of busy themes and not suitable for relax or watching on the sofa without any deep thoughts.
Husband and wife whose love was destroyed by intrigue and lust for power, but in a second chance with a reincarnation when it all began. Being able to find those feelings again and save the situation from tragedy.
it is a challenging, introspective drama made to analyze and understand, where each character is much more than simply multifaceted, and where the drama is much more than a simple love story. is a drama that truly expand at the heartstrings of both men and women. A drama that teaches to be sincere, to choose your own path, not to be afraid of your heart, all in the perfect ethics of the Confucian social hierarchy, which is still the foundation of Chinese society nowadays.
it's a drama that really appeals to veryone, how to involve. Although the second lead is a rather unbearable character, he is a nice character too.
Recognizable historical elements, full of Chinese culture, wonderful scenarios and scenography, vivid and intense colours, a drama that makes you think and reflect from many points of view.
The special episode is for our hearts.

HEARTWARMING AFTERSCENES

The special clips tell seven stories that happen after the final championship game
- New Legends Team members ( guess who, someone we already know, a very peaceful and warm surprise)
- Pei Xi dealing with Summer because reasons, their relationship is getting better
- Li Yi Xuan and Lu Yi Yi dealing with... matters
- Mi Ya has left her own past aside and starts anew
- Sun Ze Yi and Shu Wen following their love story
- Xia Ling dealing with her family

and last but not least, my favorite
Ji Xiang Kong and Qiu Ying
Everyone preparing a big present for Xiang Kong, really heartwarming. I really loved it. I'm really happy my fav couple is still together.
Despite being 11 minutes long, it was very heartwarming.
I loved the final scenes with the party together and mostly the final scene with Xiang Kong and Qiu King, always caring for each other.
You can even see a bit part of Wang Yibo's dancing skills.
Its heartwarming, and satisfying. I really loved it.

Hans Zhang and Zheng Shuang show us what true love is. Not surprinsing, since they were already dating.
But every knows how a second season means: memory issues.
I loved this second season, particularly because of how well developed is Yunhai's character and his relationship with Yuxun step by step. Mother is changed, and here you still feel she's still worried, but then in an awkward way she is really changed.
the second female lead, Jiang Yuan... sorry, i can't stand her throughout the story. She acts so egoistically i can't really forgive her or pity her. Shanguuan and Ye Shuo's characters are still developed, and i like they show a different kind of love. But after Yunhai and Yuxun who both steal the thunder, the big twist is for Duanmu's character, in both good and bad way. He's more likeable in a certain way. But my love is still for Yunhai and Yuxun, you can really feel how they feel.
Plot and ost are still perfect. I recommend watching this season too, since it's really catchy.
It's a pity that Meteor Shower is so underrated.

I watched Meteor Shower because i'm totally in love with the story, and I fell in love with the actors too. Hans Zhang is a great actor and singer, and Shi Yi makes me melt. Zheng Shuang is a perfect Chu Yuxun, i love her a lot. I loved this story. I'm in love with HanaDan and each version.
I loved the chemistry of the main leading, the plot, and eveything. Music is modelled according to the character and i think that Duanmu's issues are a very agreablea plus for the story. But my love is for every character.
I want to mention Mother, since in this version you really feel that, in a bad way, she really cares about her son and her daughter. Shangguan is a little sunshine, but my love is all of Yunhai and Yuxun, i loved their characters. The plot is well deoloped, balancing sad moments with some tricky or amusing ones.
I recommend watching this show, because it's HanaDan at another level, but always likeable despite some changes.

WORST DRAMA EVER. BEWARE AND DON'T WATCH IT, DON'T WASTE TIME

One of the worst dramas i've ever seen, and Koreans were right to make it flop. Cheap low quality copy of the great Chinese novel and drama of 2011. They were not even able to make it Korean.
Don't waste your time in this awful and cheap production and watch the original story in Chinese version. This is not worth of being watched. Awful acting, awful actors not skilled and not involved. Ridiculous and nonsense mask.
There is no reason to watch it, in my opinion.
I won't suggest a copy to anyone, i prefer to suggest the original version who will always be the best.

LOVE IS SWEET, LOVE IS HURT

After rewatching it a third time, just after TTOTM.
Adult drama, mature, intriguing, seductive and engaging. All characters are charismatic and well developed. Yuan Shuai and Jiang Jun complement each other, they are perfectly complementary. I adored their bond made of sweetness, passion and bickering. Qiao Na is my second favorite character that I most enjoyed, as strong and domineering as she is feminine. The best will always be Jiang Jun in m opinion.
I also enjoyed the other characters. The story develops quickly, but in the way to capture immediately, developing important themes. Some of the well developed themes are sexism, the dark side of showbiz and violence against women.
I also loved the growth of each character, but the thing I loved most is the relationship between Yuan Shuai and Jiang Jun, able of making each other better. Luo Yunxi and Bai Lu have a chemistry on fire, so strong, their kisses and passionate scenes, those of sweetness, are authentic and natural.
A mature and deep story that catches the heart.
The only very bad point is Du Lei, the second lead. I love Gao Hanyu as an actor, talented and handsome, but Du Lei is a character that I find vicious. Until the end he uses others.
However, the story drags you along, it never gets boring even if the only couple with the intriguing dynamic is the main one.
