Korea adapted/remake from China:* Scarlet Heart Ryeo * A Korean Odyssey* A Love So Beautiful* Mr. QueenChina adapted/remake…
Do you happen to know what the title of the Chinese version of Kill Me, Heal Me is? I love the Korean version and would love to see the Chinese version. Of course nothing beats the original, but I'd like to see it nonetheless.
I don't see how this copies xianxia. To me, this is western fantasy. Very typical western fantasy in a Korean…
Yes, I am from Poland, a country that has no accomplishments in the film/drama market, but can write great fantasy. Why? Because along with a rich culture of our own, where West and East have always clashed, we boldly tap into our own imagination and other cultures. And there's nothing wrong with that. The Zerrikan in the original Witcher (book) were modeled after African countries. Skelige are a Northern European tradition. This book is dripping with Celtic, Norse, Slavic, Anglo-Saxon and God knows what else influences and no one has a problem with that. Why? Because it's fantasy, it's magic, it's a world that doesn't really exist but is woven from the author's imagination and if the author uses other cultures it's done out of sympathy and respect for that culture. So if this k-drama uses some elements from c-ent (although I didn't see them) c-ent fans should be happy about it.
I understand perfectly what you mean about the repetitiveness of xianxia and wuxia. There is definitely too much of the same. But I'm not a fan of Korean fantasy either because they don't have their own style yet. They're searching, learning and the results they present just don't appeal to me. Maybe one day that will change.
Im 28, I always knew I was a child deep in my heart because I'm really enjoying this one >.
When I was 28 I also had a child inside me and I also liked such dramas. Ah, Gu Family Book! Now I'm almost 40 and an old lady who can tell such tales to her grandchildren :( You see, us old people prefer more content and less flash. Or at least this old woman likes it that way.
No the rating is not why the people think like you lol, but enlighten me what your 14 year old likes? IE?
I believe it was 13 years old :) An uncomplicated story where you know who's with who from the beginning. FL, who explains everything in her thoughts, in case the viewer didn't guess something on his own, although he had it given on a platter anyway. Banal dialogues, banal jokes and a lot of CGI. Hey, I'm not saying this drama is a nightmare. It's like Xena: Warrior Princess. Merlin or Hercules. Just harmless entertainment.
watch it first then judge. Don't automatically jump to conclusions because some gatekeepers decided to hate on…
On what basis do you say that I have not seen everything that has been available so far? Why do some people have to attack anyone who doesn't share their taste? Did you like all the dramas you watched?

Hey, I'm from the country where The Witcher was written. Its author is my literary language master (I don't know him personally, I just appreciate him). I've been into western fantasy for thirty years (that is, I grew up on it), Japanese for 25, Korean for 10, and Chinese for 4. I absolutely don't see how this drama is related to wuxia or xianxia and I've watched enough of them to form an opinion.
I read some of the comments and WTF? What kind of idiots make a war over a simple drama? Really some *** are lowering the rating for the fact that this production is similar to Chinese ones? Where do these people have eyes? This is clearly a copy of a western fantasy and somehow I don't make an issue out of it. I don't like it because the story is too simple for me, the characters are typical, the acting is idol level, and the CGI has long since stopped impressing me anywhere. I blame the same on every c-drama whose plot is weak, acting on the level of a log and dialogues as if written by a child. If you're downgrading a drama, have a good reason, like that it's hopeless, not that it looks too much like a c-drama in your eyes. This is not an argument for a serious person, but for a child.
I feel like I'm watching a children's story. I liked such dramas when I was 13. Now I'm leaning towards something with a more complicated plot and less obvious characters. Judging by the surprisingly low rating, I guess more people have a similar opinion about this drama.
Personally I do not care about actresses nor budget, but plot. But I think people overall would like Xiao Zhan…
Yes, he is definitely not an actor who wants to stay in one audience. He who doesn't move forward, moves backwards, and he wants to spend many more years in his work as an actor, so he can't stay behind. He probably won't completely give up on dramas for younger audiences, but he will definitely aim for productions with more ambition.

I watched the new trailer and I can safely say that if it wasn't for Xiao Zhan, I wouldn't have touched this drama. I would've avoided this sugary tragic and cloying cliché by a wide margin. Hey, fans, no offense. I just can't stand these tragic romance xianxia dramas anymore. TLP is an example where the actor attracts the viewer, not the plot. The only things I liked in this trailer were the underwater scenes and that guy dressed in black who was fighting ML.
In this new poster, the characters look like a poor version of a motorcycle gang :) Dread to think what kind of bullies these bikers are :) The world belongs to them, just like that :)
I found it. I recommend it. The trailer was terrible, but this clip piqued my interest in the drama.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6hHa3ToH5Y&ab_channel=%E8%85%BE%E8%AE%AF%E8%A7%86%E9%A2%91
I feel harassed by you. What are you, a stalker? You just can't understand that forcing someone to accept your ideology is an assault on their freedom of belief. I inform you that you have been blocked by me. We will not meet again. Bye!

For someone who is speechless, you talk an awful lot. However, I'm afraid I'm not going to read your idealistic tirades. People who run into peaceful company waving an idealistic banner are not someone I would feel like discussing with. so with all due respect, let everyone watch what they want, think what they want, and maybe leave the holy missions of converting to lofty ideologies for some street demonstrations. I promise that if I see you on the street I won't throw a stone :) So have fun with your feminist/liberation movements. As long as you stay away from me. Ergo don't bother leaving me a reply. The world is wide. Let's pass each other by :)

My dear, it seems to me that your worldview, which I obviously respect, doesn't quite match the reality of c-ent. I don't know what propaganda sources you get your information from, but my little suggestion is that you also reach out to other, less slanderous sources. I'm in my third year in the Chinese literary industry, my fifth year observing the c-dram industry, and there are too many female-centric stories out there. There are so many of them out there that people are already vomiting them up from overkill. For every male-centric text there are a dozen female-centric ones. Four goddesses have been holding the c-ent with their teeth for years. If you check which dramas have the highest viewership, the ones with FL at the center account for up to 90%. Meanwhile, the demand is changing. I, as a woman, am sick of watching teenage girls fighting for love and equality. I'm bored out of my mind. I, as a woman, want to watch beautiful men. I don't want to watch endless wars or politics. I want to watch beautiful men and instead of identifying with the idealistically empty FL fight (revenge, love and other idiocies) I want to feast my eyes on the beauty of ML's face and personality. If you don't like it, you have hundreds of female-centric dramas to choose from. But viewers like me also have the right to watch something we like. As a liberated woman, I have the right to watch what I want and not what some idealists want to impose on me. I guess my rights count too. Unless you are only fighting for the rights of a select few women, not all of them In that case I feel discriminated against.
Big production means Big budget with Big name female co-star like veteran actress Yang Mi, Crystal Liu, Li Bing…
Let me disagree about the maturity of goddess fans. Don't you remember that year ZLY fans were nonstop at war with fans of a certain actor and even got blocked by Weibo for threatening to boycott the actress? This year, YZ and XZ fans also clashed several times, despite the actors' previous requests and admonitions. Fortunately, nothing serious happened. Going back to that year DLRB and YY fans, YM and William fans also made quite a ruckus online, and all these actors are old and established. Just because the actors/actresses are old doesn't mean their fans are mature. And, of course, the endless wars over whose name comes first and whose comes second. I remember well last year's war between DLRB and YY fans. Goddesses don't have more resources in c-ent at all, otherwise ZLY wouldn't have been forced to come back with such a weak drama and fan war. Last I checked, XZ has no less resources than any of the goddesses, and even better. Just presenting a different point of view.
