I watched 1/3 of the drama and absolutely nothing interesting happened. Not a single scene other than the one described in the previous comment and even 13 bored me. I watched so long just for Ni Ni's beauty, but her character is too annoying. This drama has finally convinced me that xianxia is a genre I need to avoid from afar.

I haven't watched the last two episodes yet, but in my opinion she didn't blame SMZ for her father's death. In my opinion, she used his death to completely disassociate herself from SMZ because she felt scarred after that horrible event in the alley. Her anger and being bad is not hatred for SMZ, but infinite shame. A typical reaction of a scarred woman who doesn't want her beloved to find out the truth. Such a woman often pushes away loved ones. The action takes place in a world where a woman's virtue is a testament to her character. And yet in our world it takes a long time for a woman subjected to such violence to return to normality. She brutally pushes SMZ away so that he does not feel guilty towards her and does not suffer from her harm. This is a completely natural procedure in such a situation.

My comment was not a review just a simple comment based on the trailer. Usually the trailer is the showcase of a drama, its best of the best, so if it leaves a negative impression on the viewer, I guess I have the right to feel disappointed and express my disappointment. Now a question - why don't you criticize those who refer to a drama as a masterpiece without having seen it? They too should wait until they've watched the whole thing, or at least 30% of the production. I'm willing to bet that they'll give this drama a 10 right after the first episode, and you'll probably be one of those people, judging by your emotional approach to criticism.

I've heard good things about this drama, but I'm finishing episode two and I'm disappointed. The idea is ok, but there were already many scenes in this drama with potential tension, and I didn't feel it at all. The suspense wasn't building or shocking. The rhythm is just too steady.
I'm also disappointed with LYF's acting. I've liked him for a few years now, and he's had some really good roles, but he's bland in this drama. Barely correct. Boring. I know he can afford to do more.
I'm not giving a rating for now. I'll still wait. Currently, it would be barely a 2.5, but I hope it improves. I also hope to see a scene where LYF's acting makes my jaw drop and I say: "This scene is worth a 10/10".

Like Sparrow. I love this drama. It kept me in suspense from the first episode. Xiao Zhan as a double agent/spy with his angelic face would be incredible :)

I've long wanted to write that when I watched The Rise of Phoenixes I thought Xiao Zhan should star in something like this, just such a borderline insane role. It's a great challenge for an actor, and I'm sure Xiao Zhan would have excelled in this role. Chen Kun was excellent and Zhan Zhan would be just as good. The role is difficult and ambiguous. This is my dream.
Unfortunately, I'm afraid that such dramas are hardly made nowadays and Xiao Zhan being a slave to his popularity may be doomed to play popular roles like the thousandth xianxia about unhappy love because, after all, Xiao Zhan cries so beautifully.
