I'm watching The Lady in Butcher's House (2022) and I keep having associations with The Dark Lord. Both dramas are comedies centralized around the problems of a young provincial government official fighting corruption. The characters are completely different, and the plot in general is also different, but the comedy elements and the problems in the province give me a nice sense of similarity. If you liked those elements in one of these dramas, you might like them in the other as well.
Both dramas are beautifully shot epic stories with a well-crafted world, a rich plot of court intrigue, intriguing character adventures and fantastic elements. They are a feast for the eyes and an engaging story focusing on the fate of more than one main character. Both stories absorb the viewer, transporting him completely into the created world, helped by the great music. The production quality is excellent and the only complaint is the presence of a few too long, completely unnecessary scenes.
Season two must go hand in hand with season one, and fans of season one should give season two a chance. There are some differences between seasons, but the general rule is the same, and although the participants are completely different, I think that in both seasons everyone will find a duo to support.
The climate is very similar too, fun and relaxing.

The first steps in show business are not easy. Young men who took part in the "X-Fire" music program learned about it. Their first joint project, even before the band XNine was formally formed, was the drama "Super Star Academy". This drama can be treated as a production even before their official debut.
Although "X-Fire" is a music program, its goal was to select a group of young men who were intended to become idols. As you know, the idol is not only a singer but also an actor. "Oh! My Epmeror" is a project where most of the male cast consists of young men from the "X-Fire" program. Both projects are for them the beginning of their career path and for their fans - an opportunity to see their first steps in the entertainment industry.
Did you know that Zhou Shen sang the song to "Jade Dynasty"? This film was promoted by two songs, one of which was sung by Xiao Zhan, the other by the very own Zhou Shen. As you can see, "Our Song" was not the first joint project of these young artists. The movie itself is interesting, but the songs Zhou Shen and Xiao Zhan give fans of this program extra flavor.
Xiao Zhan combines both productions. Both have become a huge success, among others thanks to the special charm of this actor / singer. Both brought him great popularity and publicity. Xiao Zhan received an invitation to "Our Song" because of the success of "The Untamed". It is this drama that NaYing speaks after the first meeting with Xiao Zhan.
Ayunga also had a small share in "The Untamed", specifically in the music CD released as a promotion of "The Untamed".

Both drama are high-quality productions that keep as much realism as possible. Great costumes and stage design, excellent fight scenes and excellent music that reflects the atmosphere of a given moment is something that definitely combines these productions. The plot is interesting and without a dominant romantic theme, and the characters are original and the story is rich in intelligent, but not too heavy humor.
Yan Xu Jia, Zhou Lei, and Xia Zhi Guang are three young artists (rapper, vocalist and dancer respectively) who debuted thanks to the "X-Fire" program becoming members of the XNine group. They currently belong to the R1SE group, which is a participant in "We Are Balzing". Comparing these three young men as artists in 2020 and on the threshold of their career five years earlier can be an interesting experience.
Both drama are definitely original, kept in a similar climate when it comes to action, costumes, combat scenes and storytelling. They are not kept in the same universe and are not twin, they simply have an interesting style of filming that combines the world of ancient China with aesthetics close to the viewer in the 21st century. If you liked one, you'll love the other too.
If you like Xia Zhi Guang, Zhou Lei, Yan Xu Jia or Peng Chu Yue, you can't skip the 'X-Fire' program, which was their debut on tv and thanks to it they became members of XNine.
'Noble Aspirations II' is a continuation of the adventures of Zhang XiaoFan and his friends. The action begins more or less at the moment when 'Jade Dynasty' ends. Of course the differences between drama and film are significant, but if you liked the general outline of the story and you are curious how the fate of the main character will continue, it's worth watching 'Noble Aspirations II'.
