for her she considers him a good friend or family member. Him - he wants her courtesy and support for his life, family and career - he may even have emotional feelings towards her.

I do not watch news much because it is so depressing. The thought of people irl doing this is sad. But we live in a very sad world where people do all types of evil for no reason, small reasons and big reasons. Real life also reflects the helplessness of the innocent and the poor that we see in dramas. 😔

I saw all of that - but I also think it is a reach to conclude this person needs to be rid of. She obviously did not do too much research because she would have also found out before anything that Lan Xiang is the family's savior. That is enough reason to give her an orchid...

It was really sweet and comforting that they were there. The writers and production are getting away with a lot that we would not usually accept - because they are not giving us cookie cutter tropes and scenarios. 😂 - so they get a pass. and although that was unlikely to actually happen - it adds dimension to the story

lol - how did they know she was going to be there. She was kidnapped - 99.9% chance that she was locked up somewhere - but they were out on a boat playing music. The chances of what happened - happening is very unlikely. But we accept it - because it was a different spin on the damsel being rescued. 😂

Did I doze off during the episode where the orchid became an issue?

How did the wicked Princess end up at Lan Xiang's job to ask about the orchid?
How did she connect a simple, common flower to Lan Xiang and Jin Qi or Lan Xiang being the wall that blocks her possible marriage?

Then the most common sense questions - that I ask in all love triangles that has a nut willing to do anything for the person who does not even see them as an option.

1. Why would a person like you just because another person is out of the picture?
2. Why does no one think - If I harm the person they love - they will hate me more?

LOL - like really what was that supposed to do. 😂 I ignored it not making sense - but ey

I did not shed tears for her - but I am glad they are giving her a redemption choice. Because she was petty not evil.

They are a good match for her 'now'. Jin Qi and her are a good match for her potential. Also - her and Han would not live long since Lan Xiang has unintentionally made many enemies.

I rewatched the episode and watched Ji'er look like "It's me".

😂 THEN I CACKLED SO LOUD BECAUSE - I WAS LIKE...

LOL - EVEN I DID NOT KNOW THAT WAS JI'ER - until they said her name.

But this is not a revenge story - keep that in mind. That is what makes this drama different from others. And I think this is why the people who do like it - like it. People who are expecting revenge - maybe that is why they do not like it.

Since a dictionary seems hard to come by in this thread, let's clear up basic vocabulary for anyone confusing "goofball" with "stupid":

Goofball : A person who is delightfully silly, playful, or eccentric.

It describes a playful, comedic personality. Wasn't that Xu's character traits in all the dramas y'all mentioned?

It does not mean a character lacks intelligence, depth, or a brilliant mind. Yes, a character can be a genius strategist and still behave like a total goofball for comedic effect.

The writers literally wrote those early episodes with heavy comedy and eccentric behavior. Pointing out comedic traits isn't an insult to the character or the actor. Wang Lu is the ultimate genius goofball.

😂 & if you all wanted to defend him not being a goofball - you should have used examples of him in dramas where he was not written to be a goof ball.

Bai Jue - ALP, Fucha Fuheg - SOYP, Yang Hua - S&HPH

Y'all be defending these actors and actresses like they pay you. Then y'all be defending them for no reason. 😂 I did not say a bad thing about Xu Kai, I gave my opinion on his action in a scene and his role thus far in this drama. 😂 and y'all replied like I said he was the worse C-drama actor of all time.
