Of course, the CGI are not on the level of what we can expect for such a production in 2023. However, being a very picky watcher about that, I didn't found it totally terrible and it's still watchable. I really thought it would be worst than it is, so it was a good surprise.
I guess that's the first movie adaptation of the "Fengshen yanyi" I watched, and for me it's a very good one so far.
The production is quite good, it's not perfect though, some elements could have been better explained or developed. The sceneries and costumes are simply splendid. And the music is very good too.
This movie is really a revelation for Yu Shi, but the whole cast is actually very good, and I can't wait to watch the next movie.

On Let's Eat Together, Aki and Haru Nov 27, 2023
They could have done a great movie but unfortunately they chose to keep it vague and ambiguous at the end, not making the characters confessed their feelings to each other. It's disappointing, even if it is very good, because it feels like they wasted a great potential for me. I don't know the manga so I don't know if there is more to the story and a possibility of a follow-up. But if that's only this, it is a waste of a good plot and good actors who have a great chemistry playing together, I'm sure they could have perfectly play a more romantic relationship too.

Why?
I agree that the treatment isn't fair, that's obvious and it doesn't make sense. And I think most cases of actors and idols being rejected in Korea are stupid. But personally I don't watch a movie or a TV series (or listen music) because I want the actors to be paragon of morals in their private lives. After all, they are just entertainers, the pedestal they are put on and status they acquired in the last century is ridiculous. If they are good at acting, and good looking depending on what I want haha, that's enough for me, the rest is just distraction for people who don't have enough in their lives to entertain themselves.

Why?
Your attitude is the illustration why the world is wrong, in a way. First, the two DUI he "amassed" (I'm pretty sure it's an overused of that verb for the number two) would have never been considered illegal in many countries, like mine, now or twenty years ago, when it happened. Korea is known for is very low tolerance (they should actually just officially say zero tolerance because their tolerance don't even allow someone to even drink one glass of alcohol). So this point is highly subjective and thus can be totally ignored.
On the second point, on the contrary, there is no subjectivity, his actions are disgusting. However there is a but. It happened more than twenty years ago. People can change, people can make amends, people can redeem themselves, people can be forgiven, people can move on. He didn't killed anyone. It's not a death sin even if it is still wrong.
I don't even like this actor, so I don't really care about him, but I just find your position ridiculous, or anyone doing so in such situations. We can all be blamed for something that can look bad or immoral for some other people. If there is no place for redemption and forgiveness, and for justice, we can just all live in caves and killed each other, because there is no hope we can do society without it.

I'm very confused. This is so lame. Bad production, stupid characters and loosy story development. The acting of Winner Tanatat Kunaneksin and Tommy Charupob Ruangsuwan totally suck. Their characters themselves are rubbish. But I love the pair formed by Mean and Ping, the chemistry between them is very good for me. Disappointing to watch them in such a crappy series.

Is he broke or something? He seems to be doing a lot of dramas and/or movies lately all of a sudden. Not that…
Broke ? ^^ That's funny considering how much he is paid. He seems to just love working, as he mentioned in interviews. And actually it's just a feeling because of a lot of announcements lately, because if you look at his filmography he never does more than two dramas per year, and movies from time to time, like a lot of actors.

Title Vigilante
I wish I could call 2521 a romcom. It's not and it's good. You should try it out.
Right, it's a melodrama actually. I will probably watch it one day I guess. ;)

Title Vigilante
This one is very interesting. I like the story development, and the production. Already half of the drama and there was not a single moment to be bored. Looking forward to next week episodes. I'm also very happy to watch Joo Hyuk again, and with such an interesting role, as I haven't saw him since "Start Up" in 2020, except for his role in the movie "Remember", which was also an interesting one (not a fan of rom-com so I passed the last one).

You know Korea, they love to continue to milk the hell out of whatever content is working for them. First it's…
Don't be sorry, it just doesn't exist as a genre. Nowhere you will see revenge presented as a cinematic genre in itself. It's a plot and theme for many different genres, but not a genre on its own. "Rape and revenge" is a sub-genre, though it's a little bit different. But there is no problem if it is a genre for you.

I already feel sorry for Jeong Hyuck's character haha, but I'm glad to see him debut as an actor too, especially in such drama. And I hope we will hear him sing too (there is no way it's not happening).

anyone else not feeling this?it's just one of those things where nothing is appealing to me.
Yes, same here. None of the actors is bad, but none of them made me invested in the story too after the two first episodes. There is nothing to criticise about the production so far, the reconstitution is very good but yes, I'm not "drown" into it.

Of course, revenge is not a genre, none of them has it as a genre, not even "The Glory" or "Taxi Driver" that you consider the only revenge dramas. Revenge is only a theme and a plot or aspect of a drama. This list is based on the "revenge" tag for dramas here, that's it. But it shows that wheezythew8ve's point is correct.

Only two in two years ? No, far from it. You may have a personal definition of revenge drama that is more restrictive, but here are all the dramas with a revenge aspect and it's far from just two: https://mydramalist.com/search?adv=titles&ty=68&co=3&th=370&so=newest&or=desc&page=1
