which... is exactly the reason why someone would drop this though? it's not supposed to drag that part of the story this much when it's advertised as a mystery/thriller, i mean good for you if you like that but imo this isn't (or at least shouldn't be based on the premise of the drama) a drama that should be watched only for the cp and romance.

idk maybe it's just me but that first ep was rather disappointing to me, the dialogues were not it imo and everything felt a bit... forced? maybe my expectations were a bit too high because of the trailer but like i expected some more intensity i guess. but still it's only the first episode so who am i to judge it already, looking forward for the next episodes though!!

all i know is that i was obsessed with this when it came out... literally waited every day in front of the tv for the new eps to be broadcasted

saying the fashion of a country is always a few decades behind really just isn't the right word of choice if you just wanted to comment on the fashion in this show itself. it's very generalizing and like i get that you probably don't realize that what you wrote could be hurtful to some people, but china and chinese people have had the image of being 'behind' and of being an underdeveloped country which people still till this day look down to. i can also assure you that people in china absolutely aren't behind in fashion or anything lol, fashion style really just depends on the person.

still, if the information you post has elements of the story in it it would be nice for viewers who only just started watching to have it marked as spoiler. it takes a few second to make the watching experience more enjoyable for them, by just marking it as a spoiler.

idk if you realize that koreans are speaking up about this on social media. and how are these numbers fake? the family of park jongchol also spoke up about the harm this drama causes. don't just write the concerns of these people off.

i genuinely don't care if you're watching this or enjoying it, but something i can't have is people ignoring koreans who are protesting this drama. they have all the rights to be angry because this is something that affects them and their history. foreigners have no say in this. all i see is people ignoring this and praising this drama while bringing down the people who are telling you to listen to koreans affected by this drama. don't speak over them please.

this is not about just some people being angry. people are actually hurt and harmed by this drama. read about them speaking up about this and listen to them. this issue doesn't involve you so don't speak over korean people who are hurt.
