Title Witch's Love
why does this drama take so long to get subbed compared to other popular airing dramas like 30 but 17, voice 2,…
With Viki, it depends on the team that is subbing them. Some teams are on it and it is subbed within an hour or so.... and others take up to a week. At least you can watch before the subs are done. On Dramafever, I have been very impatient to see the new ep of My Id is Gangnam Beauty. I am hoping they will post earlier today. I am in EST time zone ... and it has been posting quite late at night.

Glad to see I was not the only person who loved Taoba Yu from Princess Weiyoung/ Vanness Wu. I was certainly not shipping him because he was a bad guy... but he certainly had a charm. I would love to see him as the leading man next time.

Hey, @kdramasinpajamas where its airing?
Oh, Interesting! I don't know the exact laws for each... just the results. I watch a lot of dramas from all 3 countries plus Thai and Japanese dramas when I can find them. In general, I know all 3 shy away from lgbtq full on relationships.
... and no worries, I didn't think you were arguing it. I was just recommending a good drama, that was applicable to the topic.
Each country has their own way of portraying it, without portraying it. I know many complain that the fake outs are disrespectful to the gay community. In my opinion the writers and directors are doing their best to get that topic some screen time. That will, in turn, give that topic a chance to be discussed in homes, in a no pressure/positive way.
I have noticed, just from watching many dramas: Korean dramas tend to do Girl dressed as a boy. Boy falls in love with girl... but while thinking she is a boy. Boy wonders if he is gay. Decides to confess love. Then finds out boy is actually girl.
Chinese dramas tend to let you read between the lines. They can't show smoking but they might show cigarette buts in the ash tray, if you know what I mean.
Taiwanese dramas have used many methods. Befriend is the first one I am see with "BL fantasy" as an excuse to show gay love scenes. I probably watch Taiwanese dramas the least, so maybe I have missed something. In my experience, this drama is already ground breaking with just those scenes. On top of that, (this is unconfirmed) I think Ding Ding may actually be a gay charater. Both of those are huge. It is my first time ever seeing male to male kiss from an Asian tv show. I thought it was such a moving scene, after, I started to wonder if I am like Duan Duan. lol.
I haven't completed it yet, but I agree with your gf. Ding Ding/Chan Liang isn't going to happen. The direction of the story is definitely pointing toward Chang Liang and Kang Le You getting together. I think they are going much further with this than any other shows have though. I have high hopes that Ding Ding will at least confess. That will also be huge, if it happens.

Hey, @kdramasinpajamas where its airing?
Are you just starting it? If so, tell me when you have watched ep. 4. Then I will give you my opinion.
I think overall, the restrictions are similar for regular tv in China Taiwan and Korea. Each country does deal with this topic, slightly different.
I honestly don't hate the way Chinese writers/directors get around it. Have you watched Love O2O ? https://mydramalist.com/15031-love-o2o It is Chinese. There is a side character relationship that will show you how China deals with the topic. They do not remove it completely, but you have to read between the lines to know what is really going on. If you haven't, I recommend you watch it. https://www.dramafever.com/drama/4947/love-o2o-/ Then read the material it is based on. I say material because it is more of a collection of roughly written incidences between some of the side characters rather than an actual linear story. You can find the stories here: http://bookbychapters.com/translations/

do i have to watch the first and second season to watch the third season?
Agree. You don't have to watch previous seasons. I loved season 1. Then I loved season 2 even more. It is too early to rank season 3, but I am enjoying it. This season is giving me a Reply series vibe, with the flashbacks. I think that may have a bit to do with the lead actresses accent, too.

is this drama good for diets? suitable for those who want to lose weight?
I suggest you only watch episodes before or during your meals. I am not Korean, and there are foods I don't find appealing; like chicken feet covered in chili paste or whatever it is. Still, there are plenty of scenes that will make your mouth water.

I am a fan of this series. So far, for dramas, I can not get enough. I was really sad that the writer of the manga died and we did not get a 3rd season of Ariel Lin and Joe Cheng.
When you are condensing a series into a movie, you sometimes loose too many of the important interactions between the characters that shows the relationship evolved naturally. Hopefully they script will be well written.

From which series are they remaking it?
Itazura Na Kiss was the original manga.
- There was a 1996 Japanese drama series made from it called Itazura Na Kiss. https://mydramalist.com/303-itazura-na-kiss. I watched it, and that version has some very fun kooky side characters.
Since then, there have been several remakes:
- It Started With A Kiss (mentioned in the article) is the 2005 Taiwanese version with Ariel Lin and Joe Cheng. ISWAK had a season 2 called They Kiss Again. I loved ISWAK and TKA. They are both a go to in my rewatch list. Joe Cheng is my favorite portrayal of the lead male of this series.
- Playful Kiss is the Korean version of this and it came out in 2010. That one has a lot of beautiful scenes. It was the first version I watched, so it also has a special place in my heart.
- There was another Japanese remake of the series in 2013 called Itazura Na Kiss - Love in Tokyo/Also known as Mischievous Kiss. That is a really good version staring Yuki Furukawa. This version also has it's charms. I think this is the version that has the best Tennis Senior and also the 2nd lead seems to be the coolest in this version.(not that Jiro Wang from ISWAK isn't also awesome). There was also a 2nd season called Itazura Na Kiss - Love In Tokyo 2.
- In 2015 there was a Thai version called 'Kiss Me'. They made a lot of changes to fit the Thai culture. The couple in the Thai version had the best chemistry! It also had the least Tsundere male lead. You can tell from the beginning that he like her. That is not true in any of the other versions.
- In 2016 there was another Taiwanese series called 'Miss In Kiss' that was not worth watching.
- In 2016 there was a Japanese movie version called Mischevious Kiss. That one, I have not been able to find, to watch. I also have not seen either of it's sequels: called Mischievous Kiss The Movie: Campus and Mischievous Kiss The Movie: The Proposal. I can not say how good or bad they are.
- I can not recall the name, but there one that is more of an 'inspired by' rather than a full fledged remake. I can't remember if it was a movie or drama. I do remember I finished it. I know it did not follow the plot exactly. They gave a bit of a role reversal, with the male lead having to chase the female lead a bit. However, the production quality wasn't great and it was a bit harder to follow. Maybe someone else can help me with the title of that version. I think it was the only one that the father, instead of being a chef, made clothes for a living.

Great topic. I had started a list I call Quick Drama Fix - to be able to recommend short dramas/short episodes to my drama watching friends that have trouble finishing longer dramas. I had not gotten very far on my list, I will have to check some of these out. These are the titles I had on my list (although, I also included dramas with longer episodes if there were less than 10 episodes total):

I am so happy to have this drama airing right now. It is just the kind of cute sweet adorableness I need to cheer me up when life and/or other dramas are too heavy.
