I am not as excited about a movie as a tv series, for practical reasons. Korean movies are not always available to watch here. If they do become available to watch, it will not be when it first releases. Korean tv series are often available on viki or dramafever the day of or two days after it airs in Korea. I loved season 1. I really hope they do a season 2. In that, I would hope the original cast would reprise their roles for continuity.
If the movie is available to watch, I am going to watch it, no matter who the cast is. The movie is just a retelling of season 1 without more content, right?
I have lost my link to the webtoon. Is it still going?

When I watched the first season, I didn't know there would be a second. I was super unhappy with the end... now that I know there is a second season... I have my hopes up that the second season will give me the end I want.

I still do not know a reputable website that has licensed new Japanese dramas to watch legally. Is there one?

I just watched episode 34. In shock! This is crazy. Kept hoping it was a dream sequence or something.

I get that you think he is not attractive. im just confused as to why he looks too "old" for the role. As far as why the 2nd lead is more attractive, I believe that is just a drama thing. The second lead is almost always more handsome and more sweet. ... at least in Korean dramas. I haven't watched many Chinese dramas.

I don't get him being too old for the part. Aren't they playing college age students? Tong Meng Shi is still college age... and Yang Yang is older than him.

Re-watching this for the 3rd time. Exactly what I needed! I am enjoying it.

I am getting a Brilliant Legacy vibe. The character that Nam Ji Hyun seems very similar to the one she played in What Happens to my Family. First episode was cute. I think I am going to like it :)

I will give you, that it is nothing new. girl dressed as a guy is not new. palace politics are not new. Up to episode 7, I might have even agreed that there was nothing special about it. Not now though. This confession surely has gone down in kdrama history along with other greats, like "Game Over".

My first thought is that he is happy that his advances are not completely unwanted. Of course, that opinion could go whether he knows she is a girl or not. Imho, it is not as meaningful if he already knows she is female though.

Wow. When I looked at the pic, but somehow not through any of the episodes, I realized where I know him from. Modern Farmer. The characters are so different. Long hair suits him.

Seriously! Have I died and gone to kdrama heaven? Not one confession but two! The puppet scene brought me to tears. It could not hold a candle to the sweet manliness to come. When she said "it's something you should never ever -" and he cut her off to say "Yes, I know. But... I am going to try it. That bad Love! " OOOOOOOO I melted. I am done. I don't know how anyone could ever top that confession scene, ever!

I read an article, before mab aired, about it being a copy and why it was an immortal rather than an alien etc. Truly, in this day and age, anyone can write anything on the Internet ... But I'm still inclined to believe the story/plot is based on mlfas. The novel was written after mlfas aired. Mlfas was huge in China. The book that mab was inspired by was more than likely "inspired" by mlfas. Especially since China does not consider "borrowing" other people's intellectual property a crime.

I missed the double meaning in that one. lol. love it. I am starting the book now. I have to get all the missed back story on that adorable couple now that I know.

thanks for the info. I needed to have that confirmed. So many Asian dramas only tease it and then make you feel stupid when it turns out to be a misunderstanding.
