I don't think the current Chinese govenrment would have allowed this movie to be made if it was pro-japanese or Pro-nationalist party. Lol. I can see if this was an American made Chinese drama they'd probably have less Communist themes. I don't know how accurate the history is but I think it's crazy there were so many different factions fighting one another + the Japanese imperialists.

I saw him in 10MPB. He had a support role but he did have an arc where he was part of the main story of that arc..it actually starred dai si, she plays the arrogant princess with the two brothers from swordless city.

I know!!! I think on episode 2 when Ru Ge returns back with her senior brother (Prince) and Vic Chou, he was such a dick to her, and being all lovey-dovey w/ the girl from the brothel. The girl from the brothel probably thinks he really really loves her. So I am assuming, he's mind-f#$king TWO people????!?! GRRRRR

Did you end up dropping it? I Kept watching for more easter eggs, and I ended up LOVING Huang Xiao Ming's character. I've never seen dramas with Liu Hao Ran (ping Jing) but his acting and character's development surprised me. :) I'm almost done w/ the drama.
